Putting mods for a Commando in a Light custom for Jedi's is fun, looks cool, but it's hella in-effective. :v:
lmao slot machines are demolishing the crafting market, it's hilarious

Mm, dat new gear smell (switched out chest, gloves, boots and cannon before hand)
Just started playing this game yesterday. Its pretty fun considering you can choose exactly how you want to play. I wasn't expecting dialouge choices, morals, or different storylines at all which are all pretty cool. Just wish free players didn't get shit on so much.
This is a cool gif

i just went 48/0 in a warzone
once you get heatseeker missiles, arsenal has some good burst
Guys, can you all please stop posting?
I was cured months ago and I can't fall in again
Sweet jesus I didn't realise I was on an RP server until I needed to pass an RP interview to join a guild.
I did it anyway and they're super cool guys.
Stay away from your fleet's cantina!
For the love of all that is good, stay away from your fleet's cantina!
So yeah, almost had a 2mill protection warzone match. Was intense. I love being a tank.
yeah reddit didn't seem to like that too much

Nobody outside of this forum on the internet likes me so what a surprise lol
Why did you stop playing your sent
I mean you're imp now but knowing you I'm surprised you didn't power level one, you loved that class (I assume)
I still mentally call you Gris out of habit
His sent was pretty baller as fuck. Is there an easy way to get gear once you hit 60 in the new content? i leveled my 'sin as a tank but.. i dont really want to tank end-game stuff right now, but i dont have a second dps set.

well sentinels aren't super good at the moment, my marauder is kinda on standby until they fix the class in 3.1.1
Plus I'm popular on imp side so that's another reason why (i realize im talking to him and hes permabanned woops)

So I want to try SWTOR out. On a scale of 1-10, how much are free players fucked? 1 being not at all, 10 being a cum dumpster.

I'd say 7 to 8
Putting aside the annoying "Subscribe now!" advertisement in-game, the minor illogical restrictions (you have to pay for "features" like hiding your headgear) and the effectively forbidden MMORPG fare (no raids and reduced warzones), the greatest drowback for a F2P player is that starting from level 20 you recive far less experience and can't benefit from the rested boost
While in the early levels this difference doesn't make such an impact, the more you go on the more quests you'll need to undergo just to barely reach the level requirements for the later planets

On my first character, I leveled all the way from 1 to 50 as F2P and only subbed for a month because the first expansion (and increased level cap) came with it. I had a subbed friend in my guild who was able to queue me up for warzones so that wasn't a huge issue for me at least. Doing warzones semi-regularly and doing the quests on each planet thoroughly I stayed well above the level requirement for each planet until the endgame, so it wasn't too bad.
That said, after my sub ran out and I was tossed down to Preferred with all the other moneyless plebeians, it really kind of hit me how much F2P players are screwed over. Not having access to artifact gear (or, like EliaMoroes said, hiding your headgear) unless you pay big money for it is, frankly, ridiculous. I tried starting a new character and just lost interest midway through leveling.
tl;dr around a 4 or 5 on one character if you're very patient, then around an 8 if you try doing it again.
I wish we could just end this free to play streak that's become so popular. Quit pretending to be free when you're not, and just go back to monthly payments; all or nothing. My experience with this game was really limited, because I was so turned off by how badly free to play characters appeared to be shafted (even most of the races/classes were locked, meaning base-level content was simply off the table) that I had no desire to keep going. If it had been an out-and-out pay-to-play, I wouldn't have felt so jilted and would have bought at least a month.
That said, I'm thinking of giving this another go, and just subbing. It seemed like it had the potential to be pretty cool, and if this is the closest I'll get to another Knights of the Old Republic game, I'll take it. How is it WITH a subscription? Does being actively subscribed allow you to play as all races and classes, or do those have to be purchased separately? Same question for all other gameplay content.
The only fair way to do it is pay normal price up front, then no subs and just have cosmetic stuff and such in the store.
No, a subscriber can use all the default race-class combinations
If you are looking for unusual combos (like rolling a class with a race it's not supposed to have), you have either to level up a character from that race to level 50 (which unlocks that race for every class, both Empire and Republic) or buy the unlock on the Cartel Market
I don't know if the most recent expansion is free for subscribers or not

If you have a subscription, you get more experience past level 20 as well as better prices from the in-game stores. I think you also get the ability to sprint and get your speeder (mount) a lot earlier than F2P people, as well as access to endgame content like operations and PVP and stuff. Overall everything is a lot more bearable and it's easier to have fun with the game, I think.
As for the expansions, you get the first expansion free with a subscription but you still have to pay for Shadow of Revan separately.
Also, here is a list of the race/class combos you have access to if you are a subscriber, in case you want to look over it.
SWTOR was the 14th most played game of 2014 among Raptr users

Is Raptr really popular enough for that to be impressive? :v:
It auto-installs with all AMD drivers these days so... i mean kinda.

Only if you choose automatic instillation, pretty sure if you select custom you can tell it not to install.

Feeling this ink filter, makes my set look wicked cool
Been playing this the last day or so, and having a nice time. I'm stuck in that cycle where I keep making new characters because I want to try out different classes and origin stories. The Sith Inquisitor origin is my favorite so far, but I'm feeling the Republic Trooper with his big gun a lil bit more as far as gameplay goes. Dunno!
Do this: play both.
I got a Trooper Commando at level 49 atm, I have Inquisitor Assassin at 11, a Smuggler Gunslinger at 18, a Jedi Guardian at 12, all to see which I prefer.
And I like them all.
All their stories have their unique touches that make them interesting and I LOVE the voice actor of the Inquisitor, reminds me of Galen Marek in a way, just not as... angsty.
I think after I max level my Trooper, I'll go for the Inquisitor.
