I guess I should go buy a shit ton of gifts then only companions I have maxed are Quinn and Vette , across all characters
Talking about what you should do before KOTFE hits.
Well then I maxed out Jaesa and Vette's quests, marrying Vette after somehow marrying then dumping Jaesa (completely by accident I didn't know you could do that), but I want to romance Lana on my Sith Warrior. 'Tis going to be awkward :v: Meanwhile on my Jedi side, she's romanced no one. Well...except Theron. But unless Lord Scourge suddenly becomes romance-able, or Kira becomes bi (they are the only 2 companions I care about on that side), not gonna care too much.

You don't want to buy any from the GTN because they are over-priced. You may spend like 100-200k on one companion. buy their favorite item until they no longer get anything from it, then buy their other "favorite" or "love". They can also leave your party.
they will be gone for "Story" reasons, but Bioware has said you're not locked out from any companions. There is a terminal or something where you can claim any companion. I'm guessing you won't be able to use them in main story quests.
Your other companions will now know if you cheat on them when KOTFE hits. [sp] I'm going to feel like a piece of shit aren't I... [/sp]
I decided to play it safe and didn't romance Ashara Zavros (nor that I wanted to in the first place, so all the better)
Bioware should find a way to do a pre-load for big patches like Star Trek Online does. If the patch is big enough to warrant it (like a few gigs) the devs enable a pre-patch a couple weeks before and it downloads in a side folder, and when patch day comes it gets copied over. Another neat thing STO does, is if your Test Server is up to date, it copies the files from there as well.
I never had to worry about my companions getting all flustered for cheating, as Theron is the only man for me. Also, the game keeps thinking I'm trying to get with Kaliyo and I never flirted once with her. God what a bitch.
Saved up my coin grants for the Exterminator robes. Had to look sharp for KOTFE.
I got the same boots on my Sith assassin, but I'd really like the Reaver's Boots That and I need the level 60 commendation headgear (which is the Enhanced Assaliant's Helmet by another name)
Ya know, as much as i prefer how the Sith Jugger plays, i think ill have to stick to my first character for KOTFE story, it just feels "right" .... now do i make my Jugger loyal to the emperor no matter what or... do my try to make my assassin all back-stabby in the story... choices!
Whoever designed the HK-51 questline needs his/her head impaled on a pike
It was fine the first couple months it was out.
Alright, I finally got the fucking HK-51 Now I can safely wait for Monday to play Shadow of Revan and conclude any (of the very few) outsanding businesses and then finally jump into Kotfe
-snip-
You tell me: I've discovered that the expansion's launch isn't on monday, but on the 27th of October I guess I'll take on SoR and Kotfe after that (I cancelled my subscribtion in the meantime)
It turns out you don't need to be subscribed Consistently from Aug 10th to Oct 19th. You just needed to have sub time on those 4 days.
To qualify for the Early Access Bonus, you must have qualified for each of the four rewards by being a subscriber on each of the 4 listed reward dates. Once you qualify you may enter and play Knights of the Fallen Empire on October 20, 2015, seven (7) days prior to live launch on October 27, 2015.
[editline]17th October 2015[/editline]
You tell me: I've discovered that the expansion's launch isn't on monday, but on the 27th of October I guess I'll take on SoR and Kotfe after that (I cancelled my subscribtion in the meantime)
If you still have time left you can play SoR on the 27th. Having time on the account means it is active.
Anyone else qualified for the KOTFE early access tomorrow?
Anyone else qualified for the KOTFE early access tomorrow?
I... assume i am? I've been subbed the entire time.
Anyone else qualified for the KOTFE early access tomorrow?
Yes. [editline]19th October 2015[/editline] I've been sitting here running Dailies all day because I am feeling the pressure of this final day. I NEED IT.
So I finally read up on TOR to see what all it would take to get into Hutt Cartel, Shadow of Revan and KotFE. I haven't played it really since launch except for one month Turns out if you Sub, you get all of it starting on the 27th. And a Free 60 character. There's also Guild Wars styled level scaling for content coming that grants appropriate XP whatever your level is. And quite a few changes and Quality of Life stuff since I last played. I think I'm coming back Well played, EA. Well Played
I've recently discovered the new level syncronization mechanic and the fact that now the quests are basically divided into main story beef quests (planetary questlines plus your class story), heroic quests (which have been redesigned to be more doable) and "exploration" quests (basically the remaining quests on any given planet) If you ask me, these are great change and I could as well create a new character just to test them in practice
I... assume i am? I've been subbed the entire time.
If you've been subbed since at least August 10th, then yes. All other subscribers will be able to access the content on October 27th, 2015.
You only need to have been subscribed on those dates to get early access.
You would think I would remember to word that properly after correcting myself last page :v: [editline]19th October 2015[/editline] "Whether a companion agrees or disagrees with your decision, you will still build influence with them depending on their reaction and severity of the action. We want to reward you for spending time with your companions and not worry about losing progression or standing by making decisions the way you think your character should." So it sounds like you no longer get negative companion points from conversations, you just get a small amount.
damn those patch notes make the game sound like a completely different game. Downloading this shit Story missions can take you 1-60. Side missions are called Exploration missions and the visibility for them is DISABLED BY DEFAULT and while they provide XP and rewards: "They offer XP, Creds and Rewards but they are not required to advance your story or provide necessary leveling xp" I've done them all once, they're just annoying spacebar mashing time sinks now. And now I don't have to do them, I can do JUST the story. FUCK. YES.
By "Story" they don't just mean just your Class Story, it also means the planet wide story. Just do any quest with a purple marker and you're fine. Also "All Droid Gear have been changed into a “Valuable Droid Part” which sells for a decent amount of Credits to vendors." I wonder what their definition of 'decent' is.
God I'm so fuckin' excited for tomorrow. [editline]19th October 2015[/editline] OH AND TONIGHT, DON'T FORGET TO PRE-ORDER YOUR EP7 TICKETS IN 1 HOUR GUYS
Pretty sure that's refering to the steward droid parts to increase their crew skills. It's changing it back to the purchase price.
I think it means all droid gear, you know like the ones you use on droid companions. They're useless now because companions don't need gear. Also I missed this "Class Companion conversations will now unlock based upon class story progression, rather than affection/influence thresholds. " So when you launch the game tomorrow, don't be surprised to have a thousand companion quests waiting for you and high level characters.
