I just remembered something I both love and hate about Bioware games, and that's making characters I actually care about and don't want to upset.
KOTFE Spoilers:
[sp] One of the major choices in chapter 8 is either accept Valkorion's power against Arcann, or not.
If you accept, you channel "UNLIMITED POWER!!!" and wreck Arcann's face with force lightning (and it is fucking awesome). BUT, in my game Lana showed up and looked at me horrified saying "what have you become?" as in implying I've become some kind of monster to her.
So because I'm romancing Lana and don't like offending her I mashed ESC on instinct and chose the light side option, which is to refuse Valkorion, in which Arcann promptly handed me my ass on a plate and stabbed me. Welp, there goes my character's badass card.
But Lana shows up and rescues me, is all worried and clearly showing how much she loves my character and was afraid of losing him (flirt option there triggers a kiss which was nice). [/sp]
So once again, I can't really pick what I want to pick, at least on my first playthrough/main character, because I'm too worried about a romance partner. Touche Bioware.
they make it sound like the choices matter but they actually don't have any huge impact on gameplay, you won't lose a companion if you make the wrong choice or anything

In all fairness, we still have 11 more chapters to go give or take, and who knows how many more after "season 1" is done. So I wouldn't expect any of the heavy consequences to come in just yet.
And as for my last post, its more of I just don't like upsetting characters I really like, even if its minor or just changes a scene slightly.
I thought it was 16 chapters?
I thought it was 16 chapters?
I read 20 somewhere but it could be 16. Point is, story is not done yet. :)
Unsure which class I should create a level 60 on. Any advice?
When it comes to the KOTFE story, I find the non-sith/jedi classes to be a little unfitting.
[sp]The Emperor having such a vested interest in a smuggler or bounty hunter just feel odd.[/sp]
Anyone mind giving me some pointers as to picking between bounter hunter/trooper
I'm sorta afraid the BH story might get repetitive (I played one back at launch and got sorta fed up with having to do so many annoying sidequests to continue my story and never touched the game since then :v:)
They're functionally identical, it comes down to story preference. Personally I hated the trooper story. And Bounty Hunter isn't bad, but it's a little bland.
I liked the Trooper story; was the first one I started as.
Is basically just a military drama, but has best waifu.

I think those characters having accomplished so much without the force would be a point of interest for him.

[sp]He does actually mention it like that, noting that you don't have the force, yet still changed the galaxy.[/sp]
Kotor on android is amazing
Just finished KotFE. If only the entire game were as high quality and polished as that. The cutscenes were all great, and characters had much higher detail. None of the quests felt like MMO quests either, they all felt very Single Player Story-esque. And there's a LOT of decisions and ways to Irk and get approval from your companions but we're yet to see how those will pan out. Of course

Wow, I wish the rest of the game had that level of character detail.
I like how our antagonists are mommy and daddy issues: the chatacters
Honestly, the more I think about KOTFE, the more I see it as a wasted opportunity to make a true standalone KOTOR.
The expansions has random places that have multiplayer elements, but they are pretty pointless and immersion breaking. [sp]When you land in the endless swamp and you think you're alone hiding from the Arcann, then you leave your instance and see 100 buttfuckers dragging along their own Lana Benikos and it's like 'Uhhhh?".[/sp]
Also, even though I think the quality is so much better than the base game, and the characters are much better... they truly pale in comparison to other Bioware standalone titles of the same genre. Yeah, I know we only have 9/16 chapters, but it lacks a lot of flavor. Super watered down.
I'm excited to see what comes next for SWTOR, but I'd much rather see a KOTOR 3.
yo can we get a sick stronghold on hoth? peace

Maybe they could go back and redo a lot of the old models and animations :pride:
There's a lot to do at end game now, that's for sure. KotFE doesn't stop with chapter 9. You talk to a couple droids, you do a quick flashpoint, and it opens up your contact list to a whole shit ton of contacts with their quests on each planet. And each one of those contacts becomes a summonable companion, too. There's Supply Crates to turn in for reputation you get from repeatable heroics, which you can solo now no problem, and you get Nice orange outfit pieces and mounts and shit from the crates
I'm on Nar Shaddaa and I am the Corso defense force in general chat. Everyone else is spouting all these BADASS companions and I'm just here with a regular dude.
Hoping one day they'll update your character textures cus whenever I look at all the character details in KOTFE it makes me feel like a toonstown character.
So a thing that happens in TOR now is people actually form raid groups to tackle world bosses, because quests, weeklies, and for fun, and level scaling making a bunch of people required

Yeah, since 4.0 I've killed the Droid on Nar Shaddaa and Subject Alpha on Taris. It's cool that people do these fights.
