I'm currently playing on The Red Eclipse, i started a week ago and i have a lvl 26 Trooper and lvl 7 Imp Agent. I don't suppose you guys got any tips for someone who is still semi-noobish?
Buy a cartel mount, they scale with your speeder level and are usually pretty fucking cheap (last time i grabbed one it was like 5k or something silly)

There has to be at least one of you on Jedi Covenant.
[t]http://i.imgur.com/v1YTx8d.jpg[/t] ewok companion
Is that a HK-51 customization I see in the shop window? [editline]28th June 2013[/editline] Wait, an Ewok? What, where?

You obtain it by paying a million credits to some guy in the new cartel bazaar area on fleet to set up a meeting with potential hired help. Ah darn, don't have enough creds.
How long is this stuff gonna be around for?
How long is this stuff gonna be around for?
this is all just PTS stuff, 2.3 is supposed to be out in august.
Oh. Is it going to be a permanent thing though? Or is it a temporary event?
Is it worth playing as a F2P just for the story?
Honestly? Try to at least get Preferred status. The amount of restrictions on F2P are disgusting in comparison to almost every other game that's gone F2P
Oh. Is it going to be a permanent thing though? Or is it a temporary event?
everything on the pts now is permanent, the event related to some of the reputation stuff is coming after 2.3 sometime [editline]28th June 2013[/editline] as of now the companion isn't tied to the event, there's 2 flashpoints (that need some tweaking) and a new daily area (that isnt working atm) [editline]28th June 2013[/editline] but hey, they've got a month [editline]28th June 2013[/editline] There's 2 rep vendors related to the event. One has 2 sets of legacy armor that's bounty hunter themed, another one-off mandalorian skinned legacy helmet. The other one has almost all of the stuff from the Nar Shadaa event from last year (the bowcasters and the pet) and a new blaster pistol, some pets, skins for hk/treek and a speeder. So that's the technically "temporary" stuff.
So I started my SI on Tomb of Freedon Nadd and it's just so fucking bad. It's literally making me want to stop playing the game. Luckily, I have 2k CC so I can transfer someplace else but I don't know where. How are the other english servers? Is there an FP guild?
When did they add quest rewards showing up in the quest log? Because thats awesome and should have been there from the beginning. Some of these f2p restrictions are awful, even for preferred, making it hard to play after being sub'd. It's really stupid that you need to either pay or sub to unify colors, have another crafting thing, remove your fucking helmet, to use artifact quality equipment, etc.
I'm getting a sub on next week, so is there someone on The Red Eclipse who wants to play?

It's great as a demo, but it shouldn't be advertised as anything other than a demo. There's a difference between giving people the option for convenience, and giving people only one choice if they want to enjoy content past a certain point. TOR is certainly worth a one month sub, especially now that you don't have to fork out $60 first like I did, but beyond that I have no idea. I haven't played since my first month
I'm getting a sub on next week, so is there someone on The Red Eclipse who wants to play?
Imp or Rep?
Imp or Rep?
Doesn't matter, I want to play as Imp Agent or Trooper. But not until I'll get sub. And money should be soon, I hope. EDIT: Tomorrow, if I'm lucky.
Might sub again. This game is pulling me back, mostly because my Marauder is a total badass, plus I'm like level 48 nearly endgame.
I forgot about legacy level lol, man theres people who havent maxed that yet?
I don't play enough, I've only maxed 2 characters, Knight and Warrior.
Doesn't matter, I want to play as Imp Agent or Trooper. But not until I'll get sub. And money should be soon, I hope. EDIT: Tomorrow, if I'm lucky.
I'm currently playing as a Trooper and as a IA.
Actually i got to legacy level 2 around lvl 20 on my Trooper.
I made a Consular, had I known about the Double XP weekend I would have started Saturday, but anyways because of the double XP and legacy XP boosts I was level 13 before I even finished the final Class mission on Tython. Anyone on the server 'Ebon Hawk' with lots of money or crafting skills who can help me mod up my Bastila Shan set? I'm level 13, so just low level stuff. been working on my cathar bounty hunter [t]http://i5.minus.com/iT1slwVlHNTUw.png[/t] i think the beret really brings out the badassedness of it all
I just had the worst run of regular Essles ever. Had a level 14 tank wearing level 9 non tanking gear, healer that wouldn't herself or anyone else and kept needing gear she didn't need, and someone who went AFK that the rest of the voted to kick. The healer also kept running into battles while the tank and I were already fighting another group.

I feel like I'm actively having my toys knocked out of my hand at every point, like the game is trying to make my experience outside of subscription as terrible as possible. I don't understand how they think it's okay to treat players like this when games like ST:O and Rift, or Tera, can give players EVERYTHING bar cosmetics and run fine.

One time I played as Trooper and on Esseles some douche Jedi needed Trooper gear. I asked him why, and he was only spewing about that's it's his loot. He got votekicked, and then he whispers me "freak". All other times I did Esseles or Black Talon were all right, mostly.
It's worse when they're F2P and can't trade it to you. Surprisingly this happened to me in a 55fp like last week (not the f2p but the needing on things that's not for their class).
my best advice i can give to people is not to do flashpoints while leveling, unless you have a group that you pre-select overall the xp gain is less effecient than questing and the experience can be awful On an unrelated note, if anyone has plans to level imp characters on the shadowlands leme know, guild is close to pushing 10% exp bonus and needs a few more accounts.
