So, I bought 1050 cartel coins last night to unlock some stuff from collections (Did you know Rascal's Toothpick cost 600CC to unlock!?). Anyway, had some coins leftover so I bought one Freelancer Bounty Pack, and ended up getting this...:D

Was pretty cool to get one because it allowed me to throw it in a guildie/friend's face because he has wanted one for a long time now.
Btw, if anyone of you are Republic on PoT5, my guild does Open Ops runs on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Always looking to get more people in the guild for them. Our current progression groups are moving into NiM at the moment, and pretty much everyone in the guild has cleared all the HM content.
those things are rare, i think
also just buy a toothpick, they're like 300k at the most and even that's pushing it

i can't play on pot5 anymore, it's too painful. :( the memories.

Yea, when I realized how much it was, I ended up buying one for 230k and just used the coins to unlock other things instead. I remember when I first bought one, I only paid about 65k.
The Varactyl's sell for about 3.5-4.5 million right now. I know a couple of people who have bought multiple hypercrates, and still have not seen one. I bought a hypercrate when the packs were first released. I got a bunch of different things, and ended up making about 7 million selling everything.
Shit dude, nice.
I'm definitely going to make sure I don't buy anything, I'm not good at regulating my CC buying so it's totally not worth it. For me, anyway.

I'm kind of the same way. I bought a couple of different sets, like Eradicator, Valiant, Stalwart, and the Smuggler-looking one with red pants. I also use coins to unlock everything in my collections too.
I've bought a lot of stuff off the GTN, from previous packs. A couple of assault cannons, the Tythonian and Ziost lightsabers, Darth Malak's Jaw casing, Troublemaker Duster, etc. I end up unlocking all of that stuff too. I'm a whore for playing dress-up in Star Wars, lol.
How does the Collections thing work? You buy something on one character and you can give it to another character?
How does the Collections thing work? You buy something on one character and you can give it to another character?
Basically, once you get a CM item and then use it, it is added to your collections for that character. You can go to the item in the collections tab, and generate as many copies of that item that you want, on that character. When you try to access that item from another character you have to unlock it. Unlocking it consists of simply paying an amount of cartel coins. Once you pay the one-time price, you can then generate that item on any of the characters in your legacy, as many times as you want, for free.
One great thing about it are the CM color crystals. They are level 55 crystals that only require level 10 to use. My Sentinel had two +41 power crystals at level 10.
Just a note its something retardedly trivial in terms of CC to unlock as well, like 10. I did the same on my shadow, had the +41(?) power crystal at 10. lovely boost.
The fights in Dread Palace are among some of the best so far for this game, sadly hardmode doesn't bring much of a challenge but I'd imagine nightmare will.

rip
Our progression group is starting HM Fortress tonight. We did an open group Fortress story mode last night, and cleared the first two bosses. We murdered the first boss, and then the second boss had us at a stand still for quite awhile trying to figure out all the adds, etc. Once we finally figured them all out, we beat him without much issue. There was three attempts where one of our guild's tanks was not in his tanking stance and didn't realize it. It was throwing us for a loop why he was going down so easily mid-fight, lol.

good luck, the last boss is the only hard fight in the zone, and it seems a bit overtuned in comparison to the rest.
I wish they'd have more double xp weekends. >:(

looks like we finished this current batch of content with a world 2nd/ US first ranking (hmd MAGENTA is my guild)
knowing shit like this makes me wonder why your guild ever accepted me in the first place
it was out of pity wasn't it
Progression group did first two bosses on HM 16M Dread Fortress the other night. We will be progressing faster in the coming weeks. This is only our second time running together as a 16m group, and a good bit of us are not BiS Underworld yet. Previously, it was two separate 8m progression groups. One of the groups was working on Nightmare, and the other was finishing off HM Styrak. We decided to merge the groups for the new content.
Our open story mode group wiped out Fortress last night, and we went into Palace and wiped out the first three Dread Masters in there. The last three bosses in Fortress were a joke compared to the second boss, even Brontes (story mode of course though). The second and third boss fights in Palace are some of the funnest encounters I have done in this game.
a shadow can solo tank 16m HM Brontes, apparently
Honestly, seeing Brontes and all of her tentacles for the first time was one of those, "I've seen enough hentai to know where this is going" moments.
Oh yea, we also found it funny that the Corrupted Clones of Kephess mob type label was "Level 55 Disappointment" in game. lol
The last boss of Palace is pretty much a nightmare level fight lol. Incredibly fun to learn, only issue was one of the bosses lag leaped near the end consistently and made it impossible to melee dps and if you dont get it down within time all the other bosses will also be down again with it.
Also there's a bullshit no warning auto wipe mechanic when you're burning down 4 remaining dread masters in the last phase of the fight, one of the 4 (no warning whatsoever) channels a "you're about to die lol" ability if you burn him down past 28% (what a fucking random number) unlike the other 3 bosses.
hopefully i can hit 55 before tuesday (we'll see, i'm 45 now). if not, i can hit it for sure before you guys run it on thursday. probably best i'm not part of the progression group YET, i need gear first. by the time i get to the progression group though you'll probably have it on farm already
ok i transferred my sentinel from shadowlands to pot5, vec
somehow i was talked into it

We finished up Palace story mode last night. Man, even in Underworld gear, the final fight was leaps and bounds harder than the rest of the instance. To make it worse, we were melee heavy. Thankfully our only ranged DPS was a Sage, so he was able kite Raptus.
Since it was story, we had been winging every fight up to that point. We found it more fun to figure stuff out. The Dread Masters though, there was just no way, not on our time frame. After a couple of wipes, we said to hell with it and looked at Dulfy.
i've concluded that it will be impossible for me to get a legacy weapon at some point in the near future (the BH event has one but i can't get the rep in a week) so I'll throw the shit from the weapons into BoL armor and at least get 72 everything else...bummer.

The Bounty Hunter blaster only requires Friend ranking to achieve. You can get Champion in your first week. If you haven't traded those tokens for sabers yet, save them and get your blaster. Only problem you will have is the offhand. There is currently no way to transfer an offhand barrel/hilt.
If I can't transfer them I'll get sabers, I think my sent has a 72 offhand and a 66 main hand, inexplicably.
Two questions about things you said that I didn't pay attention to. 1) how do you get champion in one week? Duly shows the highest you can get in one week is hero. 2) isn't that weapon MH/OH? So can't you transfer offhand barrels on it?
I mean it's okay because the MH token is underworld and the OH is Arkanian so I'm not losing out on TOO much.

It depends on the amount of characters you have. You can definitely get enough rep items for Champion in a week, you just need multiple characters. Of course, you have to wait for the weekly cap resets. Running on 5 of my characters, I only did two days worth of bounties, and I was less than 2000 away from Friend when I hit the cap, and I have about 6000 worth of rep items in reserve. Also, you can buy authorizations for kingpins from other people. You can do a kingpin for every character you have, once per day, as long as it's a different one each day.
For example, say I did kingpins for five days. I have five characters. Each character can do a different kingpin authorization each day. That totals out to be five kingpins, per character. Each kingpin gives a purple rep item. That's roughly 30,000 worth of rep from just kingpins. Of course, you have to have the characters and the money to buy the authorizations in order to do this. You can definitely get the rep items required for champion just from one week of bounties. I'd even argue you can get the rep items for legend in one week, but that might be grueling.
As far as offhands, there is no transferring offhand hilts/barrels, period. You can transfer the mods and enhancements only, which you should do.
Hm. Okay, I've got a slight issue...maybe you guys can help me out here. I've got a decent amount of Arkanian tokens as well as Underworld MH/OH tokens and 140 ult comms on my sent, and I'm using it to gear my slinger. I'm trying to figure out the best way for me to spend my shit. You swear that I can't transfer offhand barrels, so if that's true I'd guess my best bet is transfer the mainhand, transfer the mods/enhance from the offhand (Lord offered to make me a 72 barrel and I should be able to get the mats for close to free) and then I guess maybe buy and transfer an Oricionian piece over? Not sure.
My initial thought was to buy the 78 offhand with ult comms but then I still can't transfer the barrel so that doesn't really help. :<
As Thanksgiving Season approaches, you are at the top of our list of things we are thankful for. We receive a lot of support from you, the players, and it’s really because of you that we are able to continue development on this game we love so much. We’d like to show a tiny measure of that thanks with a Double XP weekend starting November 27th and continuing through Thanksgiving Weekend until December 2nd.
I'm slow to respond on this, so I'm sure you already did the changes and all. Didn't really look at your gear last night, but it appeared you were decently geared.
Get the mats for the 72 offhand and have it made if you haven't. We will be doing 16m dread fortress tomorrow night, so be sure to sign up. Need to start building your ultimate comms for the 78 offhand. Once you get that, you need to focus on Implants from ultimate comms.
