Preferred leveling might actually be viable!
I'm slow to respond on this, so I'm sure you already did the changes and all. Didn't really look at your gear last night, but it appeared you were decently geared.
Get the mats for the 72 offhand and have it made if you haven't. We will be doing 16m dread fortress tomorrow night, so be sure to sign up. Need to start building your ultimate comms for the 78 offhand. Once you get that, you need to focus on Implants from ultimate comms.
Yeah I just had someone craft a 72 barrel for me (had all the mats anyway), and I bought a 72 offhand with elite comms. I've got 137 ult comms so on Tuesday I can go straight for a 78 offhand. I also bought the 78 chest because I had the ult comms for it on my juggernaut that I never play.
I'm missing a relic, but otherwise my lowest gear is 69, which is nice.
Darn it! being having the itch to play again, logged in today to pvp on random alts.
Wow, it's almost a month since the last post.
Well, anyway, I just found out that you can remove those fucking security keys and I managed to restore my old account with lots of good stuff, like some chars leveled up, preferred status and 910 Cartel Coins. So my question is - is anyone still playing and maybe you have a guild I could join?
EDIT: And I actually just managed to get my most precious treasure - my first old account. With Digital Deluxe stuff, level 29 Agent (I bet I still have that TAC rifle on her), 1113 CC and some nice upgrades from legacy, like Rocket Boost. I am so happy right now.
So here's another question - what would be best to buy from summary 2023 CC?
I'm still playing on and off, probably drop a month's game time next week, take advantage of the double exp (Either do my sniper 40->55 or my 'Rauder 42->55) and then give the new space pvp a go.
Couldn't give advise on the CC though, im literally sat on 2000 myself.
Well, I don't know what I'm doing. I logged on my second account, made a Jedi Knight on RP server and bought that black robe for 900 CC. So I guess I'll stick with it.
Funny thing is about RPs - there's no difference between PvE and RP. It's just people on RP trying to, uhh, roleplay. But again, only trying.
Also people are more nice, and there's probably no ruskies like on Red Eclipse.
For the Cartel Market, a very large majority of it boils down to vanity. However, there are a few pluses to the market, and they lie in the Collections tab. If you open up your inventory you will see the Collections button at the bottom left. If you click that, anything that you have acquired from the Cartel Market, and have used, will be added to your Collections. When an item is in your Collections, you can generate as many copies of that item that you want. You can re-generate the items for free on the character that you unlocked them with, and if you log into another character you can pay a small Cartel Coin fee to unlock said item for all your characters. If you pay to unlock it, you can generate the item on any character, as many times as you want, for free.
The next great thing are the Color Crystals that drop from the Cartel Packs. They all have +41 stats, but instead of requiring level 50 to use, they only require level 10! This means that you can have a max stat Color Crystal for your mainhand and offhand at level 10. These Color Crystals are also listed under your collections, so they can be unlocked for all characters.
The rest of your options in the Cartel market are Vanity or Consumables. The consumables are very useful, especially the EXP boosts. I highly recommend picking up at least a 5-pack of the Major Experience Boosts. These last 3 hours each, and the experience boost stacks with the upcoming double EXP event. Also, if you are not a subscriber, you will need to purchase passes for certain content, escrow, equipment, etc.
Lastly, the Cartel Market can make you some in-game credits if you need them. Everything you get from the Cartel Market can be sold on the GTN, as long as you don't use it. For instance, if you buy a Hypercrate, it will be bound for 36 hours. Once that timer runs out, you are free to do what you want with it. Hypercrates sell on average for 6,000,000 credits on the GTN. Individual packs vary anywhere from 250,000-350,000 credits per pack. Then of course you have various pieces of gear and other items that can demand high prices, especially items that are obtained from packs that are no longer available. Revan's Mask for example can no longer be acquired because the pack it came from was removed from the Cartel Market. The mask alone typically sells for 20,000,000-30,000,000.
Also, I highly recommend that you keep a security key on your account. You get a free 100 Cartel Coins every month just for using the security key. Also, you get 500 free Cartel Coins every month if you are a subscriber.
Cartel Market aside, there are some other things you might want to look at in game. If you open your legacy window there is a large list of unlocks. Some of these unlocks are global, and some are unique to each specific character. I highly recommend looking at global unlocks first. The first one is being able to remove the cooldown from your Fleet Pass, meaning you can travel to the fleet any time you need to. The next is reducing the cooldown on your Quick Travel. The lowest you can get that is 10 minutes, which is very convenient. Other useful unlocks are the ship unlocks, among others.
For character specific unlocks, there are quite a few that are useful. You can boost the exp you gain from exploration, class missions, flashpoints, warzones, and even space missions. You can unlock the use of a speeder as early as level 10, and you can unlock your own personal repair droid and mail droid.
If you are looking for a place to play, I play exclusively on Prophecy of the Five. I currently have five level 55 characters there, three Republic and two Empire. Myself and some in-game friends were playing exclusively on the Republic side, and we were pushing the current HM content. However, the past couple of weeks we have been dissatisfied with our current leadership's attitude towards the game. Basically, our leadership only shows up on Operations night, and does nothing to help the guild. Me and several friends from the guild have decided to start fresh with the Empire. We still have a lot of interest in the game, we work well together, and we laugh a lot. So basically, if you have any Empire characters on Prophecy of the Five, let me know and I can get you a guild invite.
Welp, that was a good read. Thanks, now I'm more certain on what stuff to get from CM.
So, Prophecy of the Five? Damn, that's PvP server. And of course I don't have any chars there, plus all my shit is on Red Eclipse/The Progenitor. And it's also US server, but that ain't really matter, I still do fine with a bit higher ping.
Well, what if I'll make a new imp char (probably roll as Agent, for old times' sake)? Can you still get me into guild? I promise I won't be a liability, cause surprisingly I haven't forgot how to play despite a pause in a whole year. Hell, I maxed out Gunslinger back then.
Guild is not an issue, as I am one of the leaders. Like I mentioned, we are starting fresh, so we are currently building our ranks up.
Red Eclipse master server.
Also have a single shadow on The Shadowlands.
Which is a shame, be nice to have people to play with >.< i've still not seen half the operations (Only KP and the other entry one to the game back in vanilla.)

Well, I guess I'll make an Agent there. What's your IGN? I'll hit you up when I'll make a char.

On second thought, how well is charater transfer working? I have a level 29 Agent with lots of good shit, and I suppose I could transfer her, but that wouldn't worth if I loose levels or gear or something else.

I wonder if anyone else here plays on Red Eclipse. I thought maybe find a good team and reroll as Trooper.
I'm mostly imp on RE, but i do have a 50 Guardian and 51 Sent.

I didnt like my trooper, life as a vanguard was not that interesting, everyone preferred Knights tanking for them and the last power in the tanking branch was horrible. Though this was many moons ago I dont know what its like now. Trooper story isnt that interesting either, I kinda got sick of hearing Jennifer Hales voice.

I tried Vanguard several times and didn't like it either, so I always make a DD Commando. Also I love Jennifer Hale's voice.
Also if anyone on Red Eclipse wants to reroll with me on Rep side, I've made a Trooper, level 10 for now. IGN is Clío (take note of í, it's not i)
I prefer Grey DeLisle(BH, and a ton of other stuff http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grey_DeLisle ) over Jennifer Hale

My IGNs for Imp are Enril, Neced, and Veyl'rahn. I'm on Enril mostly.
Server transfers work great, and they are instant. Your character, legacy, etc, stays exactly how it is. The only thing you may have to change is the character name. Unfortunately, I don't think you will be able to transfer though. They do not allow EU > NA and NA > EU region transfers at the moment.

Shame I can't bring my Agent, but no matter. I'll hit you up after I have some sleep.
Is it okay to sell your accounts? I was just thinking, maybe someone would get my first one only for 2 month sub time code.

As with every MMO, that is against the TOS.
Never mind then. Besides I wouldn't give away my first ever account that easy.
Just a reminder that double exp starts tomorrow until Sunday Night/Early monday, then it's the release of the ship pewpew for subs.
Just hit 40 on Commando and only just finished Balmorra, and all that in one week. I'm Preferred, mind you.
Really, it's still easy to level even with XP reduction for freebies. Even that I joined some dumb random guild with full XP bonus, it only gives +10% more XP and F2P reduction is -25%.
So if you ever said something about preferred leveling not viable - shut up.
Now with Double XP I think I'm gonna hit 50 pretty soon. Last time I hit 50 was on Gunslinger when I almost finished up with Voss, that time I was a sub and no double XPs.
Right! resubbed! going to grind my rauder to 55, if i get time, my Sniper to 50+
Then i think i may do my merc after that, or my sorc. hard choice.
So im very tempted to resub tomorrow when I get paid!
How is this game at the moment?
I am really considering to start playing again, but i dont know if i should start a new character or keep playing on my lvl 28 guardian, and has the game changed alot? Any tips on how to get money and lvl?

Just do quests, end-game dailies give money. Game's changed a decent bit, it's more stream-lined, less bugs, much more content, new/different Skills/Skill Tree's

Nice, but i don't want to play alone, anybody here that wants to play with me? I can start over on another server, would be nice to start fresh.

Maybe.
Double XP is the shit. I haven't yet started Chapter 3 and bonus series for Alderaan and Hoth on Commando and I'm level 47.
So I made a Scoundrel. Level 10 when I just got to Mannet Point. This is insane.

If you're on Red Eclipse, I'm online 24/7, we can play if you want.

I am also Red Eclipse... i think. I'll check when i get home. Got my Maruader from 40-42 in just under 2 hours, felt pretty good about that considering i was just doing the Alderaan bonus quest, Went pretty fast.
