Out of 4 league races I've done on Forza 7 so far, 3 won and one second place. Think I'm doing okay ish
someone managed to import FH3 Supra to FM7 [t]https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/354290526821941248/388743663972253696/Supra_F.png[/t] source: forza discord
Got the bundle codemasters racing since it had some games. Decided to start with Grid 2, it doesn't feel bad even though i'm not racing with high tier cars so the speed isn't too fast.
Racing in Besiege Multiplayer is more fun than I expected, even if it is mostly a demolition derby. [t]https://i.imgur.com/mzcaoiT.jpg[/t]
So, the NFS modding scene is coming back with some new stuff, map conversions also speaking of need for speed, someone actually found the asian beta of NFS World, and it's being restored. Right now people are just datamining it, but soon it should be playable.
not sure if you guys heard about Killer Loop before, but here it is futuristic racing game with magnet balls and cool soundtrack, but it's often compared to WipEout
Are there any good sim or arcade-sim road racing games these days? I would love an updated version of something like Test Drive Unlimited or if not open-world, just something with crazy long roads to drive down.
Obvious answer but Forza Horizon 3 is the closest you'd get these days
Obvious answer but Forza Horizon 3 is the closest you'd get these days
How is it on PC? Wheel/pedal support any good? I am assuming it's a port which I'm always skeptical about haha.
How is it on PC? Wheel/pedal support any good? I am assuming it's a port which I'm always skeptical about haha.
It was supposedly made at the same time as the Xbox One version. Performance varies a lot, some people have great performance, others have lots of stutter issues, others have lots of crashes. I suggest downloading the demo and seeing for yourself. I don't have a wheel so i'll let someone else take that one but I haven't heard a lot of good things i'm afraid.
How is it on PC? Wheel/pedal support any good? My main gripe with the wheel is you can't change the FoV driver position in the interior despite it being showed off at E3. The game likes threads, VRAM and being installed on an SSD. Probably best with an i7 (or CL i5) or Ryzen 5 1600(X) or better but still playable on Quad Cores and AMD FX 6/8core CPUs. You'll want 8GB of VRAM for maxed graphics, because that's what the Xbone has
Also regarding FH3 performance, i'm running on an i5 3470, 8GB RAM, 280x with 3GB VRAM, installed on some old HDD. All settings medium aside from a few (reflection and car reflection or something?) on high. Game runs at a wobbly 40 so it's capped to 30, and still really likes to stutter a LOT. FM7 on the other hand runs at high at a rocksteady 60. Your Mileage May Vary.
Obvious answer but Forza Horizon 3 is the closest you'd get these days
I'm still gutted that FH3 did such a terrible job of representing Australian car culture. So much missed potential

FH3 runs perfectly at 60fps with max settings where FM7 is borderline unplayable if I don't lower them.
Well I gave it a go, what an awful experience from start to finish! The game directory is protected so I'd have to go and mess with the permissions over the install folder to be able to get into it and set up a logitech profile, so I didn't bother with that. Started the game and the opening cinematics are incredibly loud and it was a good few minutes till you can get to a menu to turn the volume down (it turns out the in-game volume settings don't change the cinematic volume anyway, at least they don't seem to). Finally get to a playable part of the game and went into the control settings to set up my wheel/pedals and for whatever reason the game is constantly detecting an output for LT when I try to bind anything. I was going to try just unplugging/plugging my pedals back in to see if that made a difference. As soon as I unplugged them from my PC the game crashed. Re-launched and had to sit through the stupid opening cinematic again. Finally got back to a playable section of the demo to change the bindings again but no joy. Any attempt to re-bind anything is immediately set to this phantom LT output. Unplugged my DFGT from the PC, game crashed. Had to sit through the opening cinematic again... I made sure I had no other controllers etc plugged in. Through a bit of trial and error (and after seeing the opening video for the millionth time) I realised this stopped happening when I launched the game with the DFGT unplugged, but this has never happened in any other game before. I don't even have the DFGT pedals plugged in because I don't use them. I went to test Project Cars and I was able to re-bind stuff fine so I have no idea where it's picking it up from. In the windows device calibration for the DFGT it doesn't show anything happening with the pedals (duh because they're not even plugged in). 1/10 would rather have had uncontrollable diarrhea for the 30 mins I wasted on this instead :v: Do you guys have any ideas before I uninstall this?
My horizon has fucked off, can't even sign in on xbox live on my computer anymore, the fuck?
I finally decided to buy Project Cars 2 because I've gotten a bit bored of GT Sport. I've got gold on all of the campaign events, and finished all of the arcade events on hard too. GT Sport's two biggest problems at the moment are 1) simply not enough maps and 2) it barely even uses the content that it already has to the best extent. On point 1), if you take out the reverse routes of tracks, as well as the different variations of some tracks (eg Brands Hatch Indy vs GP), all that you're left with really is three rally tracks, three ovals and probably around seven circuits. This is most obvious when most online events never use the rally tracks, and mostly ever use just four of the circuits. On point 2), the game has those rally cars and rally tracks, but I don't think I have seen a single online rally event yet. The game has a whole heap of production cars, but in online Gr.N races, they are only ever one-make races with the lower-powered cars, so eg if you buy the Aston Martin Vulcan for 3.3 million, you're never going to use it, ever. Same goes for Gr.X and Gr.1 cars; there are actually so many of them, but Gr.1 is never seen in online, and when a Gr.X race does happen (rarely), they are always one-make. So eg you can't take a Toyota FT-1 and put it up against the Mercedes-AMG Vision GT car. Or anything else. Oh, and there's also the infuriatingly poor implementation of VR which only ever lets you inspect some cars in VR or do a 1v1 race against a dumb AI driver, around two laps of a circuit. That's literally it. [editline]14th December 2017[/editline] Was pleasantly surprised with the playability of PCars 2 using the DS4 with tilt to steer. I ended up getting that collector's edition with the scale McLaren, art book, steelcase and season pass. [editline]14th December 2017[/editline] Anyways have some more (albeit old) FH3 photos [t]https://gallery.services.forzamotorsport.net/fh3/photo/ce5ca0db-2ceb-4614-9884-e86c191547cf[/t] [t]https://gallery.services.forzamotorsport.net/fh3/photo/ad9e7cd5-03cd-476f-ac6b-ffc4f20b9007[/t]
the fuck is this BMW
M1 lmao. If you ever wondered why the 1 Series M Coupé was not called the M1, that's why.
The M1 is easily my favorite BMW. It is such a good looking car and the racing versions were nucking futs producing 800+ hp IIRC. Just listen to this thing
Turbo F1 cars are ridiculous

Of 800 contenders, I finished 7th. First run was a 8:59, second was a 8:45. I'm happy with that.

I've been testing TrackIR with AMS, rF2 and DiRT Rally. Really glad I decided to, I've only used it for Arma and flight sims before.
Got Project Cars 2 Collector's Edition delivered today. Pretty fuckin devastated though [t]https://i.imgur.com/shu2PSL.jpg[/t] [t]https://i.imgur.com/d6eJh3t.jpg[/t] The bastards sent it without any bubble wrap or any other kind of cushioning in the parcel, so it was probably shaking around like fucking mad while in transit. I've already put in a refund/replacement request because this is just inexcusable.
