It's probably one of the worst AI i've ever seen in a GT game. There is something wrong with GT League, it never happens if i do that on Custom Races at Professional difficulty. Cars don't just punt and go off track like that

Eg in a Ferrari race at Monza in GT Leagues, the 330 P4 will start off by doing 2:06 laps, but as soon as you get within 5 seconds of them, it is suddenly capable of doing 1:53 laps. I could get up to 2nd in a stock Enzo within two laps, overtaking many LaFerraris on the way, but I had to fully upgrade my Enzo to take that sports car from the 60’s. They also have a complete disregard for your car. And they must cheat with tyre compounds too. Eg at that race in Monza you are not allowed to use any of the race tyre compounds. But yet almost every other car has significantly shorter braking distances, indicating that they are running on race tyres.

For me luckily, the AI in GT League is so blatantly bad that they forgot they can't control the car. This happened pretty much day 1 of the new Ferrari only car event Each league from Beginner to Endurance, there's 1 or 2 cars that will gain a stupid amount of boost. In Sunday's Cup, with the addition of the Alpine A110 1600S '72, it starts at mid\back pack and punt\overtake all the cars. In the TT one make race, there's always one that is clearly boosted and just goes off track because it's too unrealistic fast for it. Worst i got is the 458 Italia in the Midship event from Professional: It starts slow for some laps and all of sudden, it barely breaks and can still run fast in Big Wilow, quickly reaching 1st. Again, this would never happen in custom (only exception is Gr.3, the M6 are the boss cars and always stay way ahead of others)
Oh god that 72 Alpine A110 at Blue Moon was a pain in the ass. Not as bad as the 330 P4 though. Yeah I think the reason why the AI is fucked in GT Sport is because it tries to match the AI to your skill in real-time via the rubber banding. IMO the races would be much better if the AI was fixed to medium or hard arcade mode difficulties (maybe dependant on which league the event is in), and you could qualify for races like you could back in Gran Turismo 3.
Started playing the Assetto Corsa campaign so i'm not a total pleb if I go online. I hate the X-bow so much, Kunos y u do this? Also kinda confused about the FFB, seems off but I don't know shit about configuring it.

Essentially I was under the impression that I was playing Burnout. I mean, what do they expect when there's no penalties for anything? Some tracks have really nice shortcuts too, like the Nürburgring GP where you can just blast across the chicane section at full speed if you're not afraid of a bit of sand - You even get a nice jump! :v: [t]http://puu.sh/zGowD.png[/t][t]http://puu.sh/zGoz7.png[/t] Ok maybe a bit too nice sometimes. GT5 only limited you by horsepowers, so I'd always take part in low-BHP races with some ridiculously light carbon fiber racecar with immense downforce. My favorite bit was winning all the Rally events with a tuned out Mini Marcos, which at like half the weight of the opponents was pretty damn unbeatable. Sometimes I wish I had a PS3 so that I could at least try GT5 and GT6. What happened was I went from GT3 and GT4 on the PS2, to FM4 on the Xbox 360, then PC for a while, then PS4 (and I also got an Xbox One just for FM6 and FH3). Although I've heard bad things about GT5 and GT6. [editline]13th March 2018[/editline] GT Sport still has classes based on just power. Eg the Alfa Romeo 4C and Volkswagen Golf GTI both occupy the N200 class, despite the 4C being able to flog the GTI on any track. I have no idea how the idea of classes based on power/weight ratios somehow went over the heads of everyone at Polyphony. Even going by power, the classes don't make sense anyways. Eg N200 is for cars up to 245bhp, which is 248 PS or approximately 182kW. Where does the 200 come from?
bruh, slicing through traffic is fun. when i got hit off i finally stopped caring and just basically pretended i was the only one on track. Sorry I know brake line, I truly don't care at this point
I mean, it does kinda help that the GT1 is one of the best cars in S class :v:
Need your opinion lads: I have GT Sport on disc. Key word is disc. I play it perhaps once every one or two days for an hour or two each time. So I like playing it regularly, but not for long sessions. If I want to play another game that I have on disc, I have to get off my lazy ass and swap the discs around. I have $37 left on my PS Store wallet, from a gift card that I was given. GT Sport is currently on sale on the PS Store for $47. Should I pay $10 out-of-pocket and use my remaining wallet balance to buy a digital copy, so I can be lazy? Yeah, nah?
fully worth, i'd do it
fully worth, i'd do it
It’s settled then. My lazy ass gives you thanks
bad decision mate but i mean it's cause i'm a lazy shit myself and have done it before

kinda late, but i've decided to do the alternate version without stickers https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/206442/aa01a07b-ba2c-4776-a59d-6fc0c164f0ea/20180312_123949.jpg

Lol I’m actually glad I did it. Also I can get my money back by trading in or re-selling my physical copy if I feel like it. I’m BF btw and this is my new account. Fucked around in Scapes mode in GT Sport a bit today. The Alfa one has been especially popular in terms of likes, although I should have made the lighting a bit better before I uploaded it. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/226043/75c895d5-8ae5-4f3c-8c43-6d433a67d05e/F94B0ED1-21F8-4C89-854D-68A205A391C4.jpeg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/226043/5645c9ca-1d69-45ca-88e5-ff4c361b23b1/C0BBB44D-D91E-4B4E-A92B-D9F7C804649C.jpeg
Hard to go wrong with more rally!
yeah it looks good, hopefully it's not a totally boring arcade racer
I'm not particularly picky gameplay wise. As long as it has a nice selection of cars and tracks, i'm pleased.
If this doesn’t have VR support out of the box, that would be disappointing. I know that it’s a sequel to a game made like 15 years ago, but that name today is practically screaming that it will have VR.

I remember seeing this gameplay somewhere, i'm interested
"Announcement trailer" Hasn't the game been announced and available for a few years now?
that's early access
I backed it and I've had loads of fun myself, it's good.
https://youtu.be/4aSr6bFPZAc wanna talk about onrush? it looks interesting
Yeah, GRIP is good fun. If you were a Rollcage fan, then you'll like it. Some of the devs formerly worked on Rollcage. The track/level design is very interesting, with a lot of verticality since your car can stick to different surfaces. I've mostly played the standard races and it's kept me content, but there's other modes available. The different cars have different attributes, so it's up to you to decide how you want to drive. The soundtrack is great also, if you're a fan of drum and bass or breakbeat/bigbeat.
Any fun racing games I can try out next? Lately I've done GRID2, NFS series and Gran Turismo. Don't care if it's recent or old, as long as I can lay back and play it without too much hassle with a controller. Emulating is also an option I guess.
forza motorsport 4 and the horizon games are pretty good i've always heard people say the midnight club games are good, though i don't have an opinion on any of them also motorstorm is good :v
