oh yeah crew 1s photomode was even better cuz it allowed you to upscale the game even more and also would put in above ultra settings, sadly only ever took 1 picture, guess i'll dump some other nice crew2 shots https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/107131/5e93208e-ec92-45fc-bfb6-375983176083/Pic_20161005_001039_4096x2160.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/107131/82f5a4af-d84d-4719-b1b0-42128a607277/Pic_20180603_233005_3840x2160.png https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/107131/549c6259-e3b4-440b-a42f-f585f8489311/Pic_20180603_233123_3840x2160.png
I bought it. It's really nice. They've changed the hybrid deployment to a push-to-deploy system rather than the passive system that the original LMP1s in the game use. It's not simulated to the level of detail that the AC or iRacing versions are, but it's something. I've been doing laps of Le Mans and you really get screwed if you don't manage your deployment and recovery - coming out of Tertre Rouge onto the Mulsanne with less than full hybrid storage is agonising. I really hope they can get multiplayer driver swapping implemented. pCARS2 really should be the go-to for endurance racing with its day/night cycle, the weather effects and the track progression.
Anyone who has played NFS 2015? Ran into the oddest bug ever. Started a race, someone hit me and I crashed before ending the little sequence at the start of the race, did the whole crash cam thing, then the car drove a bit at a slow pace automaticaly, started the race, until it stopped and just stood there motionless, unable to do anything other than turn the camera
hell yeah, i hated the passive system of the og LMPs, while ACs Hybrid modelling is nice with variable MGU settings nothing comes close to iRacings implementation of it, finally i can deploy power at my will

For those of you who use a controller to race, do you use your left or right thumb to steer? Just curious, since I switched to my right and it felt more precise once I got used to it.
Motion sensor steering on the DS4 for best precision from a gamepad. It makes Project Cars 2 actually playable without needing a wheel.
You using an Xbox controller? It would make sense in that case since the right thumbstick is closer, so your pivot point isn't strained as much. I'll have to try that.
Using a DS4 actually, just randomly had the thought that since my right hand is my dominant one it might be easier to do precision steering with it. Its been taking some getting used to, I find it gets sore pretty quick. I would like to try the motion sensor steering setup, but I don't think many PC games support it.
Does anyone know if perchance IRacing have added any of the singleplayer stuff they mentioned at the start of this year?
Forza Horizon 4 announced. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VmQNo8xtcAg I hope they pinch Forza 7s dash camera
Or they could just let you adjust your cockpit view like any other game like they demo'd with FH3 at E3 and then never released the feature. I really hope the courses are more technical all around. I love FH3 but 75% of the tracks are just dragstrips joined by single hard corners. Looks like more than one location possibly? Japan was rumored and I def. see Japan-y scenery, but a lot looks like west europe and the UK. Kinda hyped.
yea was like scotland and the coast of great britain or w/e they said time to nose dive off some cliffs lads
Well I rage-quitted and uninstalled Project Cars 2. Again. did the Pirelli World Challenge event at Long Beach. Qualified first. Got almost to the end of the race until an AI PIT maneouvered me. Restarted. This time it started raining almost immediately, despite the weather forecast only saying ‘overcast’. I continued on until I was PIT manoeuvred, again. Restarted. This time I didn’t risk it and put wets on. But then it didn’t start raining until the end of the race. So I had to run wets on a dry track for 90% of the race, and fell back to 9th because of overheating. Why the fuck did the developers get rid of the intermediate tyre compound for PCars 2? And the mediums? They were in the first game... this time around you only get softs, hards, wets, snow and off-road. Off-road tyres for a fucking GT3 car. The rage-quit point was when I did the next race in the series at Road America, where the qualifying was at 8pm... couldn’t see a single apex but yet the AI were driving around like it was midday. How ridiculous.
Man I told myself I wasn't gonna get the UE this time but the two expansions are apparantly also included in the UE this time... And route creator, property buying...fuck they got me. Property buying will probably just be a gimmick for 'perks' instead of the cooler TDU stuff though. I'd also totally place money on one of those expansions being the Isle of Man.
Tbh I wouldn’t be surprised if they did a dirty again and add paid content not included in the supposed ‘ultimate’ edition - the last two or three car packs in FH3 weren’t included in the car pass, which was really scummy. Buying property could be alright if eg it lets you store vehicles in garages which can be explored and from where pictures can be taken. Project Gotham Racing 3 did a really good job at that; you got to walk around the garages and check out all of your unlocked cars from whichever angle, and you could even go up to an arcade machine to play Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved.
The dash view is confirmed. Also, this thing is looking almost like the best of TDU combined with the best of Forza and entirely new stuff. Just to temper expectations for the property buying, we can't actually go inside them, but rather they serve as your "spawn point" when you start the game and you can view your car in Forzavista outside of them. Either way I'm still fucking hyped.
Car Pass not having all car packs has always been a thing sadly so expect that here too. And yeah the garages are cool, but I think that'd be too hard to pull off for a game with 450+ cars unless they'd do a shitty garage limit, weird unlimited garages which kinda defeats the point or that Gran Turismo 6 system that didn't really work.
Does anyone else have a lot of trouble counter steering in horizon 3 when using a racing wheel? In other games I can correct the car fine but in horizon 3 I always end up spinning out, makes the RWD cars unusable
Yeah I'm not going to get this. Let them figure out PC porting first. Bought the FH3 Ultimate edition but barely played it because it keeps dropping frames and crashes randomly.
you clearly didnt watch enough of those 1320 in Australia videos, Australia is just a big dragstrip
In order for the races made with the route creator to be good, the base game needs good roads as well. And by good roads, I don't mean long, flat, straight where any bumbling idiot with a 1000hp supercar can hold RT all the way.

I will wait on Forza until it's clear that the PC port is at least nominally stable.
looks cool, just hope they figure out how to get rid of the ugly temporal artifacts that the Unreal Engine comes with.
they will have been polishing horizon 3's pc version for like two years when horizon 4 is released so i dont think its going to be absolutely horrible

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R2ItRsbNBB8 Should make for some good IMSA racing with this and the GT3 pack.
What's the purpose of the led counter on the cars? Count amount of laps? Never saw that before
I'd guess it's like in IndyCar where the LED says the car's position in the race.
