Dirt 2 was the first game in the Dirt series I bought and I wasn't a big fan of it, so I'm probably not the right person to ask. As far as the Gamer handling is concerned, I guess it's similar. I just gave it a go and it feels super grippy, which is what I remember from D2. The simulation handling is obviously vastly different.

Even with gamer-handling it's still a bit more of a handful than Dirt 3. More challenging even..
Then again, I was drunk when I tried to take a quattro for a spin in Australia so that's probably not that good of a reference.

God the windows store is so fucking terrible.
Reached 20gb out of 50~ yesterday but then my pc shit itself and froze. Restarted it, download had to be completely reset.
Now I'm at 42gb and it just says 'downloading' with absolutely no progress being made.

I literally reinstalled Windows to get FH3 working because an issue with the hotwheels xpac download completely bricked my Windows Store, therefore couldn't launch or update any UWP app.

Was running the Dirt 4 monthly in the Stratos. In the top 50, feeling great, 3rd stage, getting faster and faster and then BOOM! Hit a guard rail square in the driver's seat at 134km/h, instantly killing the car and I'm assuming I'm dead too. End of monthly.

Just acquired a Logitech G920 with shifter on a DIY rig using an adjustable honda civic seat. All the important stuff is in great shape.
Haven't had a wheel since the O.G. USB Sidewinder (no ffb /cry) and I'm pretty bad with it partly due to pedal placement. I also never drove stick (let alone heel-toe) IRL so this will be an adventure.
First order of business is moving the pedals much farther back, then space to have a monitor directly behind the wheel, need to run to the hardware store. Maybe a cupholder :v:

It was janky at first but there's plenty of fine tuning you can do to the FFB ingame. Seems all the cars have ~200 degree steering racks as input beyond 90-100 deg left or right does nothing. I don't have a problem with the FoV at all but that's all subjective

I think it was possible to change the steering lock... I forgot the option, it was with the other advanced wheel options. I think its Steering Sensitivity? It has a slider, you'll have to experiment to get the lock you want.
FOV still is absolute piss for me though, and hood cam has no mirrors. I think the devs even had wheel setup for an expo one time, fov and all that set "correctly". It baffles me why they didn't include it. I mean Forza Motorsport has all the fancy stuff doesn't it?

My screen is 21:9 and I get at least the rear view and driver's side mirror. The linearity is just fine, the onscreen wheel turns just as much as I turn the wheel, it's just all the cars never need more than 90-100deg of input L/R.
Have assetto corsa mostly dialed in at this point. Found a couple Gran Turismo track mods so I can run a familiar track :v:

Just found out that the PC version of Horizon 3's finally been unfucked, and have enjoyed it a lot these past couple of days.

Upgraded the motor and battery, changed the width of the tires, and reduced the weight. While it still has a relatively low top speed (265Km/h), it still reaches said top speed sorta extremely fast, while also being very maneuverable. It's great to blast past everyone in the start, having them drive past you on long straights, just to shoot right past them again as soon as a turn shows up
