The base game is worth it for 12 bucks. I got the dream pack DLC, the japanese pack and ready to race pack. Don't care for ferrari or porsche so I didn't buy the other DLCs

Defending is much more satisfying than on F1 2016 tbh, loving this game.

I had to do a double take on that one, thought I was looking at IRL F1 footage.
Okay, the full car list (now that it's been released) for Forza 7 is incredibly disappointing. Correct me if I am wrong, but there are literally less than perhaps two dozen new cars to the Forza franchise?
Let's start with the racing cars. Almost all of them are outdated. Sure, all of the NASCAR Sprint Cup cars are new, but only half of the Formula E cars and a quarter of the V8 Supercars are new. The rest, including almost all of the WTCs, are from previous years. Then there's the big offender - grand touring. Today, BMW competes with the M6 GT3, Ferrari has the 488, and AMG has the Mercedes-AMG GT3. But in Forza 7? There's STILL the Z4 GTE, the 458, and the SLS AMG GT3. Why?
Then there are production cars. I would hazard a guess and say that at least half of the newest production cars in Forza 7 aren't even in production anymore. Who still cares about the 2011 Alfa Giulietta QV, when there's now the 2017 Giulietta Veloce? Or what about the 2015 Audi TTS, when there's the 2017 TT RS? Oh, and here's a total joke: The game still has the Infiniti Q60 Concept, when the production Q60 based on that concept had already been in production for a year!
Continuing on: The Alfa Giulia QV - highly anticipated as an 'M3 killer' does not appear in the game. Ferrari 812 Superfast? Nope. 2017 HSV GTSR? Nah. New BMW M5? Not a chance. I could very well keep on going.
btw don't expect to have the new M5 in the game since it's atm exclusive on NFS Payback
Anyways speaking of Forza, Forza Motorsport 5 is "free" on Games With Gold so be sure to snag it, because you know every September Turn10 kills a Forza game that's 5 years old and later you won't get the dlc

I saw FM6 had free play days with gold. But looking at the store front i own it ??, or it doesnt list how many free days and there is no option to purchase.

They could have at least had any new production car, but the newest productions cars are all from Horizon 3.
My guess is that the base release of FM7 will just be the 'greatest hits CD' of FM4, FM6 and FH3, in terms of cars and tracks, and actual new cars will be released as DLC. But I'm not supporting that. No, I'm not putting down $100 just to get the base game, then another $50 to get the season pass which will eventually add new cars, of which we don't yet know.
As someone who's been with Forza since the Xbox 360 days, I am just extremely disappointed with the lack of anything new for existing Forza fans. Sure, this will all be new for PC players, but not someone like me. I'm not interested in a Greatest Hits CD. I'll either wait a year for it to be cheap, or I'm just going to contemplate PCars 2 or GT Sport instead. At least those two actually kept with the times.
Have they announced whether you can make custom race lineups. It's incredibly frustrating that you can't race single make races outside of the career. If it's not in there's no reason to go for the new one
And have they even announced any new tracks other than the fantasy one. I don't even mind fantasy tracks, but the forza ones recently have just are just boring supercar sweeper snooze fests made for the trailers

I'll still buy it like a sucker

Yeah the only new track is that Dubai one. The other 'new' tracks are just remasters of a few FM4 tracks; Suzuka, Mugello etc. They need more technical circuits, yeah. More real-life street circuits would be cool.
I think you can kind of make a single-make race in FM6 if you make a custom multiplayer lobby, and set it to private? But I do remember trying that, and I still couldn't make a race with just that Mercedes truck. But yeah, FM6 was dumb in that regard.
Dude just give me Fujimi Kaido again with better textures, same layouts zero changes. I'd love the shit out of it.

I'll bet a million dollars that it will be the track released with a FM7 expansion pack, like how Homestead and Virginia were added in FM6.
Hell, I'll bet another million that if they do add in Fujimi Kaido in such an expansion, the rest of the expansion will be Toyota cars lmao
Anybody who has played Project CARS 2 in here? I think the first one had a lot of potential but was game breakingly broken most of the time. On the very rare occasions that everything actually worked as intended, it was a pretty fun game but I shouldn't have to slog through so much shit just to race some cars around a track. As much as I was asshurt about the first game, I still want PC2 to be good because it is in theory a perfect entry level "hardcore" racing sim.
How is the second game right now? Is it broken? Is it good? Is there an NDA that prevents people from honestly answering that question?

Oh boy I just remembered how dumb it was to set up a gamepad for the first game. Yes, I know it's the kind of game to be played with a racing wheel, but probably 99% of people who bought it on PS4 would have played it exclusively with the DS4. The presets were all awfully terrible, and it was a nightmare to tweak the controls. I suppose that it would have made too much sense for the game to let you tweak the sensitivities and dead zones in the pause menu, instead of having to go back and forth between a race and the menu several times.
[editline]5th September 2017[/editline]
I've decided that I'm not going to get Forza 7, because I'm not interested in buying a 'Forza's greatest hits'. I know that I used to be heaps pissed off about Gran Turismo Sport because it won't be a GT7, but I'm kind of over that by now. So I'm more inclined in looking at GTS now.

To be fair setting up a wheel was a performance too there was about 4000 force feedback settings
Gamepad support is much better now. I've been playing with an xbone pad with zero issues.
But really, the worst thing about Project Cars was the lobby system. Because players had to host their own servers, they got to control the rules, and as a result, 90% of populated servers were GT3 cars at Monza. It got incredibly boring, incredibly fast.
Another thing with that lobby system is that players were spread too thin between servers, because players could choose the servers they wanted to join. Instead of having a matchmaking system which puts 16 players in a single server, you often had a few completely full servers which everyone was queuing for, and about several dozen servers with less than 4 players. So you're either waiting a long time for a slot to open, or you're racing with only a couple of other players.

It's the main thing putting me off of PCars 2 at the moment.
I got my first pole, pretty underwhelming considering the car I was driving and the car he was driving.

I even cut eau rogue a bit, but no one noticed, no blue flags tho.

Which game? I feel bad that I don't know which particular game that is.
And still, not a bad effort. Not bad at all.
[editline]7th September 2017[/editline]
Now I know why everyone drives the VW Beetle in Forza 6. I tuned mine up to B class by engine swapping it with a stock WRX STI engine, 5 speed gearbox, putting better tyres on, stiffening the suspension etc, so just some simple upgrades, and it absolutely dominates in B class. Never had so many victories. It's fastest off the line, it actually has very well-balanced steering (no discernable understeer or oversteer), and it's a rocket ship on the straights. It feels like I'm cheating while I'm driving it.

rfactor 2, it has the best tyre model and it's quite brutal on you when you have used tyres:

I got some good info from their discord.
The team is working on an improved version of the unreleased build, that means the tractor suizes are coming and the blockades are coming as well.

I hope they add proper cockpit cameras
And multiplayer saving. And hopefully they release mapping tools that don't crash when you look at it funny

Actually looks pretty good! I've started watching WRC this season for the first time since McRae and Burns were on the go and I've really enjoyed it. The challenging, technical stages on this look great - looks like a lot of fun. The sounds are a bit canned, but if it feels good to drive I can get past that. That'll be the key, but I'm itching to have a go in the new spec cars.

that actually looks good, the detail and vision distance in the stages is getting my hopes up.
maybe this year's WRC game won't be mediocre
How's the driving physics on those games, any of you guys tried the earlier ones?

I've been trying a couple different racing games with VR lately, specifically Assetto Corsa, RaceRoom, and Project CARS. As much beef as I have with Project CARS, I think it's the most immersive of the 3. It seems to work better now than when I last tried to play it, which isn't saying much. Aside from the sound bug that happens if you are in too many consecutive races, and a bug where I consistently got the green light 3 seconds before everybody else, it was relatively bug free. I also played PCARs online only. R3E doesn't have enough players to regularly get into a race and I don't have enough DLC to have a good selection of servers in Assetto Corsa.
RaceRoom's VR is decent, but nothing special. I still find Assetto Corsa underwhelming even in VR. I think what makes me like Project CARS more is that it has a lot more environmental details than the other two games that help make it feel more alive and immersive. Assetto Corsa in particular just feels so sterile and lifeless compared to Project CARS.
