as someone who has quite a bit of time in The Crew, I'd like to see what you guys' thoughts are on it.
Personally the most enjoyable part of it for me is the long "faction races" (endgame stuff). The AI usually ends up bugging out amd getting teleported 30mi away so normally all it takes is for you to get to the end to get thr reward. But anyways, the reason i find these enjoyable is that theyre like mini-road trips, I can put on a podcast or some music and just drive around for an hour, pretty relaxing imo. I can ser how some people wouldn't like it, but i personally find it enjoyable. Hoping the giant open world carries over in TC2.
Anyways, like i said, what're you guys' thoughts on it?
(please excuse any typos, typing on mobile here)
I too enjoyed the Crew for its map. Taking a car and being able to just drive was exhilarating, doing a coast to coast drive for an hour just for fun.
The story was pretty lame though and the car list wasn't very inspiring. Although the last point is more just on me, I'd rather drive characterful shitboxes than another dull modern supercar.
I'm going to keep an eye on the crew 2, hopefully they'll add more fun cars (probably unlikely) and flesh out the map a bit more, it was massive but not very detailed, I'd like it feel a bit more alive. And I'd like a slightly more realistic handling model, nothing crazy just let us actually be able to drift a car without it having to be fully upgraded. And another unlikely one I'd like to see is an adjustable cockpit camera

I actually really liked The Crew, despite its problems. The best part of it was the map. I know people complained a lot about it, but I don't know how else they could have done it and they did a really great job with the map. Every region of the map really did feel like a different place, even down to little things like the differences in traffic lights and roads. It was really fun to just drive around in and explore. You could really tell that they spent a lot of time on that map.
That said, I'm not sure I needed or even wanted a Crew 2. I'm keeping an eye on it, but I don't really have any plans on getting it. I feel like I got everything I could have possibly wanted out of the Crew with the first game and I can't imagine the second one being different enough to warrant basically doing it all over again.
Man windows store really is a steaming pile of utter shite. I can't even preload the goddamn Forza 7 game. And release is midnight or there abouts.

if you had an xbone, then you would've been sorta lucky. I won't bother preloading FM7 on pc for a few days, but i already preloaded it on my xbox

Finally got it to install after an hour and a half of fucking around with the Windows store, logging out and back in, using wsreset command. All installed and waiting now. Not long to go.
Bruh why even have native DS4 support in Forza 7 if I have to push the joystick all the way just to get any input?

Try adjusting the deadzones in game or in control panel or whatever. Depending on the controller I have steering deadzones at either 0% (XB1) or 5% (DS4)
I don't get why game developers insist on massive deadzones anyways, it's always fucking horrible. The worst thing about playing any Bethesda game on consoles is the stupidly large deadzones that makes aiming so unnecessarily difficult
Clarification on the dumb rating, Doozle? Instead of rating me dumb, how about you be helpful and provide your own advice to Propane Addict, instead?
Anyways I did it boys. Reached driver level 120 and elite level 60 (the maximum for each) in DriveClub. For context, a single race will usually net you something like 20 thousand xp, but to reach level 120, you need to collect 140 million xp. To get there I had to level up a huge number of accolades, and essentially do the ~450 single player events twice.
To progress through the elite levels, you need to complete a difficult time attack challenge for each level. Pretty much only 500 people have passed the level 60 elite challenge, out of about 2,500,000 people who have ever played DriveClub. So I guess I'm part of the 0.02%?
Man, Project CARS 2 is so good when everything is working. Just came out of a fantastic online Sakitto race where I placed third with some hard fought battles. Suzuka is such a God tier track. I hope someday PC2 gets the real Suzuka.
Spa still confuses me, despite how many times I've run that track in AC, PC, and PC2. There's just something about it that doesn't gel with me at all. I don't think I've ever felt happy with a lap I've turned at Spa.

That moment when PC2 and GT Sport have the Mercedes-AMG GT3, but Forza 'Motorsport' 7 still only has the SLS AMG GT3

Same for BMW M6 GT3 replacing the Z4 GT3, McLaren 650S GT3 replacing the 12C GT3 etc

Apologies my dude, I think it must've been a phone scroll rating
I can't speak for Forza 7, but 6 had massive deadzones as default and removing them made the game so much nicer to play

Yep, I did the same with Forza 6 and FH3 as well. It really makes a huge difference. Especially with simulation handling

The bigass deadzones are a leftover from Xbox360 and PS3 days. Those controllers had massive drift, so you needed 12-15% of deadzone to not have unwanted input.
I'm really sad that the toyota GTONE is not in Forza 7.
It's been in every single motorsport game until now, and i was so hoping it'd be in this one since i've been wanting to drive that thing in a game since i was a kid and it was in gt3.

It looked pretty damn fun, I'm saddened by the fact that could never really get my hands on it
maximum tune recently has something about local arcade competition in japan on certain dates, and this is what you get for participating

TBH the GTONE was only so interesting in GT3 because it seemed out of place - I think it, the R390 and the 787B were the only LMPs, so they stood out quite a bit. Don't get me wrong; it was a blast to drive, but in Forza 6 it doesn't really have any special charm to it. And it has an uninspired exhaust sound.
imo you should be more disappointed that the game has like less than two dozen new cars to the franchise, of which most of them are just new liveries for existing race cars.
[editline]1st October 2017[/editline]
So after reaching level 120/60 in DriveClub, I still wasn't satisfied that I had "finished" the game and left my mark on it. So to finally be able to uninstall it and move on (might continue FH3, but I'm waiting for GT Sport), I just had to set a world record on a Sprint event. Which I actually did after about 25 attempts (beat the previous record by only several hundredths of a second, too), in an Alfa 4C, but I'm not saying which event, because I don't want someone like suXin to see and try to beat me out of spite, haha.
I don't really mind that since this is my first motorsports game. My interesst in it wasn't from it being out of place, but rather that i absolutely adore its looks; it's one of my all time favorite cars, if not THE favorite car i have.
Came back to Dirt 4 after getting bored of it and man is driving on gravel so boring and predictable, gonna play some dirt rally tomorrow and see how I feel about it after taking a big break from the games.

Had to delete the game because hard drive space was exceeding, shiet :v:

about time
After years of waiting, a racing game has finally been blessed with the Zakspeed Turbo Capri:

I haven't played a Forza game since 4, and I'm pretty pleased with the series, especially with their decision to include more actual racecars. The loot crate stuff is nonsense, but I really don't find it affecting my ability to enjoy the game.

Project cars 1 has it.
Can you create your own free races and choose competing cars?
Where the fuck are all the Toyotas?
