Seriously looking forward to it. INFRA was such an interesting and beautiful game.
Well, here's major news blast: Announcement-News https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/132517/96405a28-acc9-4825-9b3f-36c2b4257289/Whiprock_Prison.png
Woo more INFRA!
I wonder if the DLC will re-use some of the ideas or levels that didn't make it into the game. But goddamn, I'm really excited! I wouldn't have dreamed hoping there would be DLC, and that's saying a lot.
Awesome! Looking forward to it.
I'll just post some Open-Sewer progress here, as it's closely tied to INFRA, and not worth of own thread: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/132517/0cc69cf6-7468-40df-b8d4-a49c67448595/Day_in_open_sewer.gif
I'm certain I'm late but I'm playing INFRA for the first time and I found this: https://puu.sh/AKPZJ/e587cfa80c.png Heh.

Man alive, I just got back to the office building. Im so engrossed but I’ve missed so much. For example I never fixed the dam, so I couldn’t get into the juicy part of the bunker. I also failed to fix all the water plants. But man am I enthralled in the story. I’m definitely going to play the game again.
My biggest disappointment with the game was the amount of stuff I missed! The creepy science bunker was one of favourite parts.
I'm planning on a second runthrough to try and 100% everything. Should I use a walkthrough? I don't think I want to spend as long on the game the second time as I have the first time, but at the same time I feel cheaty using a walkthrough. However my biggest fear is me getting fed up with the game and just dropping it by the time I'm done with the dam or something.
I ended up using a walkthrough in a few parts when I got stuck walking in circles or if I couldn't figure out a puzzle despite spending like 30+ minutes on trying, like the switches next to a drawbridge in one of the dams. I do like that the game doesn't always hold your hand too much since it sometimes forces you to scour the whole area and you find stuff that way, but I definitely have been lost a few times and appreciated that the walkthroughs are there.
As someone who 100%'d it I think yeah, you should use a guide, there are a ton of corruption items you can miss if you don't explore absolutely every corner of the map, and that'd take forever on your own
Some geocaches are practically impossible to find without a walkthrough, they can be hidden in the middle of a bush in a remote part of an open area.
I put my fishies here: https://i.imgur.com/qR8JZgI.mp4 And some major progess [MAJOR SPOILER]: Wasteland notes
Finished the game. It's a fun game. Definitely need to go back with a walkthrough and 100% it, the emails on my computer weren't great. Does anyone know what Rob's present is? I think it's supposed to be the teddy bear but I'm not sure.
It's a coffee machine I think
And it breaks on a second use.
Some news from the spin-off project: News
Finished the game after 30 hours of gameplay and apart from a few nitpicks, it was a game that was engaging from the start to finish despite its long length. There were a few times when I'd run around in circles for a while before finding a necessary item just out of my view, but that seems to be a common problem with environmental puzzle games, especially when they are this long. And some of the puzzle themes (a lot of them involving water control) seemed to repeat a bit too much, although I think Act 3 did a good job of introducing more varied puzzles and areas. I'll probably look at doing a 100% playthrough, since the Steam guides suggest I missed quite a lot in the game. And I'll definitely use a walkthrough next time around; I don't really like the idea of missing out on content because I failed to pick up something ten hours earlier.

Okay, the spinoff game has overflowed into Early Access: Open Sewer on Steam
hi uh who, wholesale, with just some vmt edits, took the metallic car paint phongwarp material thing i made for garrys mod and used it for this game's car props, even using the same specific phongwarp texture file i used in an older version i'm 100% fine with it, i love it, it's just so surprising, i didnt think it went further than the forum for an obscure gmod rp server i posted it on
I'm curious now, what does it look like in-game?
oh, if you dont know, "phongwarps" change the way dynamic light reflections look. with this metallic car paint thing it essentially adds a second, glossy layer to such reflections to mimick how real metallic paints work
Interesting, thank you for sharing.
Can you post image of your material, and where it is found in our game?
its used in basically all of the car props in the game but i dont want it changed or anything if thats what you mean, in a way i just find it amusing
INFRA or Open Sewer?
