CoC is giving us the next step in a true immersive STALKER experience.
Can I romance the C-Con / Wishgranter?
I still can't get over how OLR feels like I'm just playing a beta screenshot sometimes :v:

If I just play it in static lighting at 1024x768 at 20 FPS then it's the true experience.

I would do the same thing and toss bolts to get the bones to fall out.
Bar in OLR is so interesting with all the strange anomalies, the little comfy apartments and houses, and the actual bar part feels more alive than in the vanilla game.

I love the bar level in OLR, it's just so neat.
For a few moments, I had that feeling of exploration and new-ness again. It was great.
Anyone know when the next update for CoC is out?
Anyone know when the next update for CoC is out?
Nobody knows, not even me.
Nobody knows, not even me.
So, what, do you guys just not plan updates? Just kinda "whenever we feel it's good"?
Not trying to be a dick, just genuinely curious how you guys decide when an update is ready.
Sounds like us in the Sven Coop team. We try to have a schedule but it's hard when everyones got stuff going on IRL or just occupied with other things.
Lyo, if you know how to edit the resistance of mutants in OLR please do tell me. Im at Yantar and I have to stay for a quest in a village packed with bloodsuckers and its bloody difficult to kill them. Like they can soak up 2 entire VSS mags to the face.
Apart from some weird balancing issues OLR is extremely entertaining.

Honestly when I run into situations like that I just cheat like a pussy and use g_god on

Members work on the mod at their own pace; just about each one has taken breaks from modding. If someone takes a break, that's fine, they don't get kicked off or replaced like some teams do. It's just a hobby for each of us. This is not the same as if we were some studio making a budget mod for a very popular AAA title, stalker modding just happens to be our "card collecting" or "model railroad".
Patches are usually released when there is something to fix, but when certain areas of the mod are worked on you can't increment the build anymore with small patches. For example textures had another rework and some more unused things removed, this can't be patched in, when things need removed a new build needs composed. Since we are doing a new repack of the mod then more structuring in other places may as well be done, for example the config file structure for items and trader were overhauled which will alleviate some annoyances when making addons that add new item sections. Level work was being done, which isn't my area, so I'm not just going to put a pause on the mod waiting for it, I just work away on the mod like usual and with level work also means new all.spawn and players haven't needed a new game since 1.4, which is another good reason to take the time to do big changes. Darryl needs to complete work with the 3 addons, and maybe finish the encyclopedia if he wishes, he took some time off and in the meantime the mod will continue to be debugged and/or new simple features added to take the boring edge off.
To summarize, no it's not "whenever we feel like it". We work on the mod whenever we feel like it but the process is managed.
So I would say it's extremely foolish to put 4k textures in Xray when it's only 32-bit.
I can only dream that some wizard manages to port the whole engine to 64bit.
Well CRC is dead apparently. No one even in the Russian channels
Yeah I just checked, I hope if this shit gets sorted out with those trolls that people will start using it again.

Honestly stopped playing CoC because of it lol
So I never got around to completing Shadow of Chernobyl, but Call of Chernobyl is too tempting. Should I play through SoC etc vanilla, or are there any crucial mods?

I'd say get ZRP and Absolute packs/PRZ and you're good to go

Thanks. So it'll be a whole new download when it's released?

Thanks for the lowdown on that :)
I guess I'll keep nabbing stuff from the bitbucket repo when I get bored and wanna check out what you guys are up to :v:
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a .geom importer for Max 2017?
Edit: latest version I could find was for max 2011 and (x64) 2014 :/ so I can't import my level from the LE (I can import .object but the LE crashes when I try to export, error "External Exception EEFFACE")
so nitro got shot to death
any chance that traders respawn?
EDIT:
I'm guessing from the ratings that I'm pretty boned
