Oh, neat. Oblivion Lost Remake 3.0 footage
So I went to go see if there was any updates or anything regarding TKGP's CRC addon but it looks like he's axed it, no further development I guess. It was good while it lasted. Gone but not forgotten. Issues need to be resolved first.

I really like that feature.
Gunslinger looks better and better every time I see it
I really like that feature.
Being able to play Gunslinger is one hell of a feature.

Misery 2.2 nears. Can't wait.

Can't wait.
http://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-misery/news/misery-22-progress-report Really? fucking lol a single slav has done more in 3 months with their mod on CoM than they have done in YEARS. And when its released you'll all get bored of it in 20 minutes because its still basically the same shit. [editline]5th April 2017[/editline] I realize the obvious retort is that much the same as any STALKER mod is "basically the same shit" but really, at least with CoM youve got the entirety of the stalker catalogue to play on....

Like Misery isnt my preferred way to play stalker at all ever, but I don't understand the huge hate boner for misery. Why does everyone want to tear it apart and shit on i?
I've never played Misery, but personally I'm put off because a ton of people online and offline tout it as the 'definitive' Stalker experience next to Complete. I can't talk too much shit since I've never even played it, but just hearing so much about it that way makes me not want to try it out.

Even then it doesn't need to go as far as personally insulting the authors.
Misery is giving stalker entirely different experience and thats what i like about it. Instead of just chilling in the zone, you mostly think about your survival and managing your belongings. I might be a masochist but i actually really liked managing inventory and figuring out ways to get past through stuff in misery that was borderline bullshit impossible. But oh how rewarding it felt to finally do everything right and succeed.

Every game with a lot of modding has one, and eventually the detractors get as bad as, if not worse than the fanboys.

Still not sure whats wrong with it. Like I've tried it and I didn't like it, but that was because it doesn't suit the way I want to play stalker. I didn't notice anything wrong with it [editline]6th April 2017[/editline]
It's the Brutal Doom of STALKER. [sp]I can't stand brutal doom[/sp] So its not bad really, its just a thing that how grown so popular it eclipses new and super good mods that should really be given some more attention
I've been wanting to try Misery again because I like the idea of an extreme survival mod. The first time I tried it I must have installed it wrong because it didnt work. Also the ~BROWN AESTHETIC~ turned me off but iirc AN4 removes the brown so maybe I'll give it a shot with that.

Sorry but I just cant imagine anyone getting hyped after all these years for the big bad release of what amounts to some config edits really.

So that argument is kind of weird.
Only like CoC has new maps like that vehicle graveyard. So that argument is kind of weird.
COP misery: 6 maps COC misery: 32 maps do you get it now? If there isn't going to be any new content, then why would anyone bother to play the neutered version of the same mod?

As much as I'm not a Misery fan this intense anti-circlejerk is getting a little old. Let people play what they want to play, let modders do what they want to do. It's this kind of hostility that leads to communities falling apart. Let's not have that for our favorite game series, shall we? (what the fuck I can't format my post)
I've not played Misery but I've had people tell me about it. I know I wouldn't like it so I just stay away from it. :P
What mod had this as its menu theme? Was it Redux?
Misery did have some crazy artificial difficulty. Not so much in mutants taking a bunch of bullets, but more in story quest areas having like 2 controllers, 6 blood suckers, and a wisp thing circling it. THAT was a turn off for me.

I'd find a full group, have them take me over there, then back off and let them kill a couple mutants before getting killed. Rinse and repeat until it's manageable. You don't really get to see stalkers fighting the tougher mutants, so it was fun to watch.

It's hard to make Stalker ever truly difficult with how endlessly cheesable it is.
