STALKER Bundle is at 75% of discount on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/35983/ I think you can use the GameSpy key you get to reclaim it on GoG too.
i wonder whether i should get the best one or the bundle
i wonder whether i should get the best one or the bundle
The bundle. All of the games are the best for different reasons.
What weapon mod would do you all recommend after using STCoP for pretty much my entire time with CoC? AO or OWR?
My personal preference is AO3 but tbh they're about equal in quality and not that different
I wish they'd just merge them already. Most of these weapon packs are almost identical at this point. The only one that feels noticeably different is OWR and that's just because it limits itself to mostly the base guns.

[editline]19th April 2017[/editline] Yeah Darryl is doing it I think, CWP, which is Chernobyl Weapon Pack I guess

After some Call of Misery, I think the only thing that could keep me going at this point is more new maps. Probably the reason I actually pushed through Lost Alpha's awful story. Since I don't really follow the actual modding part of the mod scene, why are new maps/levels rare to see? Are they just kind of absolutely awful to work with/build?

Every SoC mod and it's dog has Kostya's pack and build levels nowadays, for better or for worse.

Garbage is quite cool actually and Darkscape is HUGE. Lots of quests and new mechanics. FOTOGRAF? They grabbed maps from everywhere and made up a very cool storyline. The quests are very interesting and the new mechanics make it stand apart from other mods. The artifact system is like a puzzle game. One of those CoP mods that add a new map with a storyline? Haven't tried them yet but I guess they could be a lot of fun.
I've been going through Call of Chernobyl's files with the Arsenal weapons thrown in and I can't find the starting loadout files. I've been intending on having the merc trader sell the TRG-22 or -42 and the appropriate ammo or start with those as a mercenary but I can't figure it out for the life of me. Any clue as to where start looking? At least adding those to Sidorovich's trader supplies didn't help, so I doubt that trying the same to the merc faction trader ought to help.
LA pre-release stream Haven't watched it yet but I hope its good, even with a shit story decent A-Life would make me want to play the damn thing. Also it looks like they ported the CoP animation system

There's a common one for CoP I believe (something story? Pribori?) that starts on a very small map and I couldn't get into it at all.
Call of Chernobyl 1.5 changelog as of 22nd of April https://pastebin.com/fudcAF0i
Companions can now sprint and should catch up to the player a lot faster when far away.
holy fuck I might actually use them now
+ Added a post_combat_idle for mutants to utilise old engine features like dragging bodies and eating. + Added ability to ignite or extinguish campfires at will instead of relying on NPCs to do it. + Added animations for corpse searching, surrending and for when a stalker is wounded. + Added cooking feature, which allows the player to use a stove to cook mutant meats. * A-Life is now active on all thirty-two levels by default instead of just neighbouring ones. * Bounty tasks now tell you the name and faction of the target before accepting them. * Companions can now sprint and should catch up to the player a lot faster when far away. * Corpses are now displayed as a light-blue dot instead of the usual grey, making them easier to see on the map. * Corrected military rank abbreviations (Private, Sergant etc.) in the PDA's relations tab.
Finally.
Just stumbled upon this. Some people turne don the lights in Pripyat... http://izismile.com/2017/04/20/lights_are_on_again_in_pripyat_for_the_first_time_in_30_years_32_pics.html [t]http://img.izismile.com/img/img10/20170420/640/lights_are_on_again_in_pripyat_for_the_first_time_in_30_years_640_17.jpg[/t] [t]http://img.izismile.com/img/img10/20170420/640/lights_are_on_again_in_pripyat_for_the_first_time_in_30_years_640_21.jpg[/t]
Added 2C's customisations to Yantar and Outskirts levels, expanding many building interiors. Added 28 outfits and pieces of headgear, 26 of which from VodkaChicken's "Outfit Addon". Controllers now actually hurt AI stalkers, they can commit suicide or attack their friends. NPCs now react to step sounds, you should walk if you want to sneak up on an enemy. Reduced the volume of rain by 25% as it was often deafening during thunderstorms. Stalkers now used a knife to smash open boxes in their way instead of shooting at them. * Weapon pack sights can now be right-click attached to specific weapons, not just current/primary slot only.
fucking GREAT changelog
Lost Alpha : Directors Cut is coming on the 26th of April. See ya there space cowboy o7
I am one of the beta testers for LA:DC, and just wanted to let you know, that DC isn't that much different from the original one. Of course it's more polished, with more features, but overall the feel is still the same - so if you deeply hated LA, this isn't gonna change your mind about it. If you liked playing it, you will like this more - and yes there are more spawns in areas, a little bit more, but it still feels pretty empty at times. Last I checked the sounds for the new ported weapons were still out of sync with the new animations, so I am pretty sure they were focusing on skills and all of the new features rather than story elements or spawns that much actually. There are new mini quests, some better AI and many improvements overall, so it's definitely worth a check out still! Only wanted to let you know, not to expect a completely different thing because it isn't.
Did they fixed amazing 3min loading time into ~20fps stutterfest?
rather than story elements or spawns that much actually..
That's literally what most people complained about with LA though fucks sake
That is a sexy changelog.
Might in the future be getting an airsoft svu, would be cool if there was ever a stalker themed day at a field somewhere near me.
Yeah just start spinning around in a field, when someone asks what your doing tell them a whirligig got you
And be sure to modify a GP-5 so you can drink vodka from the filter hose. That's the important part. [editline]24th April 2017[/editline] The asbestos gives it flavour.
Well I am glad to hear that LA:DC is coming out in two days but that leads into a question. Now that LA will more or less be fully out into the wild will anyone be making an effort to port LA maps to CoC? I always felt that the old build maps (SoC) would mix well with CoC. I am assuming for a myriad of reasons it will probably not happen but one can wish eh..?

I am assuming for a myriad of reasons it will probably not happen but one can wish eh..?
It's doable for some maps, but you can't really do a full conversion of LADC maps to CoC. Too much effort to correct the content spawned in the maps. That being said, CoC could really use some of the new terrains LA has to offer to really expand its content. Rostok Factory, Construction Site, Forest, the Swamps, Outskirts, Countryside, maybe even an altered Dark Valley are all 10/10 locations but they're horrendeously misused in Lost Alpha. I think they fit a lot more into the fold of Call of Chernobyl personally. But lets be real here, lets be real here dude. Cooking. In a Stalker game. If they get immersive smoking mechanics it's basically a 1:1 eastern europe lowlife simulator. [editline]24th April 2017[/editline] Also I kind of hope that CoC will have a bit more stable update release schedule for 1.5. It feels like 1.4 had too many patches shelled out over its course, which made keeping persistent games and addons difficult.
