Forcing PCSS shadows in LA looks pretty nice but it seems to absolutely wreck performance...more so than it already is. Introduces an extremely irritating microstutter.
Anybody have a link to the grass draw distance tool? I can't find a working link for it.
You should just patch the dll of the game you're playing so that you can use console commands to change grass draw distance and density.
Could you tell me how to use it? :)
All the documentation you need is included in the download. Here's a bat to unpack the whole thing, just drop it in the game directory with the exe.

Leaked footage of Sid's bunker.
[del]Is Lost Alpha unstable as fuck for anyone else? Got the latest patch and all, but it just crashes randomly and very often.
Not even a CTD/bug-catcher prompt either just a stutter into an audio-less, black-screen.[/del]
Switched from DX9 to DX10 and it hasn't crashed yet; too lazy to tweak it and find the culprit...
Oh man, the last few pages on the ZRP thread on the GSC forums is a fun read...

After all these years, Tejas_Stalker is still a nuisance.
Seriously, I recall him talking shit about mods WAAAAAAY back in the day, where Inferno Mod was a thing, Oblivion Lost was the newest shit and SuperModPack was still being developed.

That Drama Vodka was quite sour, damn.
how do i uninstall ShWM?
how do i uninstall ShWM?
By backing up your bins beforehand so you can just revert. Otherwise reinstalling the game is the simplest option.
How do I disable grenade throwing in Misery? I'm tired of it. I honestly enjoy everything about the game except the grenade throwing by NPCs.
Been playing Call of Misery, and so far its been pretty challenging. The hobo phase feels more pronounced than in regular misery, but this might just be because I started as an ecologist. I had to make a pretty harrowing journey down to the great swamps and the cordon, but once I got down there I started to make some money. Only now am I able to barely afford a mosin, but once I have all the bandits in the cordon are as good as dead.
You would imagine an ecologist would need to do jobs associated with research, but the first job I got from the main ecologist guy was in a place where I had no chance of survival with my current gear. Once I get enough cash from doing jobs and general murder I will get some artifact hunting stuff and do that instead.
Ok so I'm suddenly having a serious problem and I was wondering if anyone could help. Audio/Video syncing in recordings.
This has been an on and off thing for me when recording Stalker specifically for some reason, but now it's outright preventing me from making videos of it. I'm trying to make another episode of my series on the cut locations of Stalker in CoC, this time on Darkscape, but I absolutely CANNOT get it to record properly. I'm using shadowplay as I always have, and every time I'm done with the video and plug it into Premiere, the audio and video will be completely desynced.
You will hear gunshots that haven't happened yet oncreen, see silent firing etc, but if I cut and move a track to fix it in one spot, it almost immediately gets desynced again down the line a few seconds later. Any help? Also Darkscape is very juttery for me which probably isn't helping the problem.

Premiere HATES variable framerate videos. Run it through a conversion pass in Handbrake with the "Constant Framerate" option checked on.

Alright, thanks a ton. Trying this with a test video now. How much would you expect this to affect the video quality in a final product though, having to encode once in Handbrake, then edit, then encode AGAIN in AME once it's finished?
Wassap with these map mods in CoP ModDB page? They look cool. Even though the bets are 99% they won't be finished, 1984 looks like a cool concept.

I've done so for a letsplay channel a few years ago, as long as your re-encode process isn't very compressed, the final result should be about the same. It's definitely not as bad as what Youtube will fuck it up to be.
that's pretty impressive
is there any way to make it take into account items in containers too?

Yeah, I just didn't get around to it yet
That is impressive. What map is in the bottom-right corner?

Looks like Valley of Whispers.
Are those stashes in the map, or items that are physically in the world already?
ive always been disappointed with how little there is to find in buildings in stalker. Stalker has a great deal of enterable buildings and houses especially when you give consideration to when the games were made, it seems a waste to be able to find stuff outside of wooden crates.

It makes sense for the areas to be looted, given the environment. I've come across mods that hid items in clever spots within or in the vicinity of the building, like hidden in ceiling rafters, doorframes, underneath mattresses, or even hid in desk cubbies.
It really gives a nice flavor factor when your scowering and thinking out of the box lands you a nice stash

I've been out of the loop for a while, what mod is that from?
