Plus imo i think dense vegetation can hide enough of the issues. I'd rather see that effort spent on NEW levels to explore, much as I'd love to see the old ones remastered.
I would really like to see an overhaul of the engines AA and foliage rendering. Foliage (most of the time) looks like complete shit in the games when you aim for dense, lush trees and such.

This is what happens when you have maps that are a combination of maps made in 2003 and ones (re)made like a year or two before the game's release. SoC's development cycle, with the game being remade like 3 times over, was not kind to its asset quality. :v:
Would it be possible to just subdivide and smooth the ground meshes instead? Some kind of global quickfix for it.
is anyone else having issues getting detectors? ive got like 3 complete spare sets of tools but ive been using the bear detector for almost the whole playthrough thusfar.

I've been having the opposite problem... I found Veles on the first corpse I looted, and have only found one set of Expert tools so far.

I find it kinda weird the military is considered a faction in Warfare, as they mainly exist to control the Zone borders...

In Clear Sky they were also involved in the faction war, and generally in all the games they are still counted as a faction.
I think Warfare still needs a little work with spawning populations. Duty takes forever to send a squad over to take a new point, while the military seems to just spawn whatever numbers they want and pretty much win all offline engagements. Second I left Rostok the military started taking my bases and they respawn and recapture their old points faster than I can kill them

Good point, but they never really pushed as hard as other factions, they kind of just...existed.
Yeah, that's what I noticed. Military just fucks up everyone constantly in Warfare, maybe they're just set too strong in my configs, dunno...
Does anyone have a full list of mods like armors or weapons that are compatible with Call of Misery? I don't want to accidentally mess up and cause it to not work.

I enabled volumetric lighting in the 'comet' anomaly for shits and giggles...forgot that it applies to the acidic one too.

Honestly some of them shouldn't be too hard. The Bar, for instance, possibly the worst offender, is actually really simple and doesn't involve too much that an intermediate modeller / texturer couldn't run through. I imagine scripting is the problem.

I really do like the effect. STALKER is the only game I sometimes just let go for a while to see what takes place in front of me. I'd be nice to see the grass waves while doing so.
That grass looks super neat, especially for people like me who play with high grass densities.

Same. It's a game where I really love getting to a high-up place and just watching things happen. Watching firefights, mutant activity, the sun rise... All while listening to Radwind Pt2.
The game may not have the best textures, the prettiest models, or the best sky rendering, but it's still a damn beautiful game when it wants to be. Especially the volumetric sun shafts and the shadow rendering.
