S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series Megathread: Maybe someday mods releasing edition

There's no download, I haven't finished it yet.
I just like fishing for attention unnecessarily
Any addons you'd recommend for Call of Chernobyl 1.4.22, besides:
Original Weapon Restoration 3
Outfit Addon
Immersive fast travel
Loot money
Lens flare remover
I already tried STCoP but that gives me too much weapons already, I guess Arsenal Overhaul would be way more.
And DoctorX quests addon doesn't like immersive fast travel.
Iirc Arsenal Overhaul is smaller than STCoP but in general higher quality/more consistently quality but a second opinion would be good
Isn't it the other way around? E.nigma 'borrowed' a lot of weapons from STCoP and overall the initial impression I had of AO3 was that it's one unbalanced mess. Both damage / handling as asset quality wise.
Most streamlined weapon pack is OWR, then STCOP for consistency and overall feel and then the mess that is AO3. I remember AO3 having some pistols outdamage 9x39 rifles which already were a OHK.

I've been playing the alpha for a few months now, the game has its ups and downs when it comes to the updates. The MP5 they just added is practically useless and makes the makarov look like a match grade pistol though, and the AI is all sorts of goofy. But hey, it's scavenging, killing, and trading so I'll take it.

You guys would know better than i would, it's why i mentioned a second opinion :v:
lol at people still arguing over which pack is higher quality
honestly, they are very similar. A lot of the hate towards AO3 stems from stupid nerd slap fight, i.e popularity contests not sincere assessment of the actual quality.
Ive used both and I can't honestly say one is noticeably better than the other. AO3 tends to have its red dot and eotechs work more consistently across the board, while STCOP tends to have a more realistic selection of weapons (i.e very potatozone orientated, with a LOT of AK skin variations probably too many IMO)
both mods are poorly balanced in various regards and you will probably spend time looking for mini-mods to fix these things.
I just have the arsenal name in my head associated with a shitton of crappy models ripped from FPSbanana with awful smoothing and animations made in 5 minutes in Blender :v:
in my experience with the two stcop is much better if you get the distribution fix
I've done some experimenting and learned that wishing to be immortal from the Wish Granter doesn't necessarily make you completely immortal.
Some anomaly obstacles like the Electro wall in Pripyat will kill instantly. Some sniper rifle headshots have also instantly killed me.
...and Wolf's PKM, apparently.
Is there a standalone playable-guitars mod for CoP?
Edit: never mind, I wrote my own instead.
The sky looked like a blowout was about to happen while I was driving around for work today

Could anyone help me? I extracted CoC config files and everything was fine till I realized there's Clear Sky faction missing in character_desc_general.

Reminds me one day I was driving home and close to arriving I noticed that the sky and the clouds had a brazen tint to it.
So once at home I immediately climbed on our rooftop and took a picture.
And it was quite similar a blowout when it started pouring massively after I took the picture raindrops the almost size of fingers.
The camera couldn't catch that brass color too well, but minor editing could bring it back.
Reminds me that post production color correction is quite important to photography, because more often than not; the camera doesn't see what our eyes see.
Like how some materials in olive drab show up as a muted brown on cameras.
Both my previous load bearing vest and Bundeswehr backpack, both which I have in a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. inspired picture I took a few years ago.
Oh shit, CoP just got like a 2mb update.
SoC too.
i bet its stalker 2
[editline]8th July 2017[/editline]
wanna replay CoP, is there any mod that's all the rage recently? Other than CoC I mean, I'm abstaining from that mod as long as possible so I can return to it one day when it's nice and fleshed out and with other mods working on top of it
Just a multiplayer fix.
We're preparing an update for all three S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games.
This update resolves a recently found vulnerability in the network game client code, which allows intruder to crash the game using specially created server and map names.
Thanks to the fan community sites stalker-life.ru and team-stalker.ucoz.com and also personally ufa and Sin! for help in discovering and addressing the threat.
After the upgrade, user maps must follow naming convention, namely starting with "mp_".
Update is already live on STEAM, standalone Multi-Patch v.2 for retail versions will be released today.
Yeah, that photo doesn't show how everything was tinged orange
Just bought STALKER: SoC and I've been playing it a bit. This game is absolutely cruel, but I love it.
I find that I keep dying because I go in gunz blazin. I cheeki breeki'd when I should have sneaky Zeeky'd.
Also, I've been playing it vanilla. Should I wait and finish it once before adding any mods?
Vanilla once, then break it with mods.
[editline]14th July 2017[/editline]
I mean more than it is broke already.

Please do tell us some campfire stories from your first experiences. Always good to listen to the woes of a new STALKER.

did you murder the cordon guards
i did
fuck them i wanted their guns
Been playing some Autumn Aurora 2 and I was trying to mod the spawn probability for mutant parts. I did it the usual way
Spawn_Inventory_Item_Probability = 1.0
, but that isn't working. Is there some other file it is defined in in AA2? Also where are healing item effects defined, that doesn't seem to be in item.ltx unless I missed something.

Nothing too interesting or funny has really happened other than bodies falling in weird ways/getting stuck on stuff. Oh, I did drink 34 bottles of vodka then attack a bandit camp. I have ragequit a few times already.

Nah, I don't kill anyone unless they are enemies and I have to.

Oh, and I met both the Bloodsucker and The Controller within 30 minutes of each other. That's the hardest I've ever shit my pants playing any game.
Has Wormwood been canceled yet or is it somehow still alive?
Shame
None of us had any time to work on it, so it's been shelved indefinitely.
Wormwood has become wormfood. :saddowns:
So between the last time I played this and now they apparently changed how save game works and now I can't seem to edit the carry weight anymore. I know about "experience vanilla" and all that jazz, but the 50-60 kg carry weight used to just drive me nuts, and at one point drove me completely away from the game, till I edited the carry weight to something much higher.
Thing is, I think it's now in these ".db#" files and you gotta unpack them, except I'm having no luck doing so. Anyone got any suggestions for getting at the carry weights? I've already tried modifying system.ltx and actor.ltx but I've had no success with those.
