Anyone know how to change the colours of the weapon comparison pips? I seriously can't tell the difference between what's green and what's red, so I've no idea if a weapon is better or worse in stats.
There are probably a number of hud overhauls that'll do that. alternatively, you can edit them yourself by extracting them and editing them yourself, all you have to do is put them in the right place when you're done and make sure they're in dds form.
Extracted some files but for looking for what I want specifically, I have no idea what I'm looking for.
Oh huh, I just downloaded the latest dev stuff for CoC and noticed they restored the sunmask (cloud shadows!) and did something weird to the regular shadow rendering.
Yeah I can definitely recommend Next Day: Survival. Really looking forward to new maps and potentially underground areas like in STALKER.
On github?
I downloaded the latest binaries/archives from their google drive + the latest code dump from bitbucket. (note: this is all indev stuff so install it seperately from your main CoC install, don't install mods meant for 1.4.22 unless you know what you're doing, etc)
Tried running Next Day Survival, had to go to the lowest graphics settings, and even then only got 5-20 FPS :disgust:

It feels a lot like a third person stalker, right down to that kind of unpolished but endearing feel. The devs seem pretty responsive too, since they patch things within a couple days. It's also really cheap, I think it's $7.50 right now.

I'm sorry, but even though you've managed to elude even the biggest STALKER fans so far, what you posted is legitimately an asset flip of the highest order. The screenshots on their steam page show assets directly taken from the game with little to no transformation and re-purposed for the game. The most telltale example being this one: [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/rE9zjfK.png[/thumb][thumb]http://i.imgur.com/IR5CdZ7.png[/thumb] (I didn't take these screenshots, I got them from google) If that example was this obvious and it was on the store-page screenshots, how many more examples are there? I mean, fuck's sakes even the red-star door was copied from the game, the sandbags from duty, the fences from cordon, the fuckin guy is holding a VSS Vintorez from vanilla too, the watchtower looks way too familiar to be a coincidence: [thumb]https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Yvx5TxZUFgw/maxresdefault.jpg[/thumb] I have to be frank, this legitimately looks like a copyright bomb just about to explode. Hell I already have recognized some stalker mod community content put in this as well.. This isn't going to go down well.
What? I don't work for them if that's what you're implying. It does seem to have a lot of assets that look similar to STALKER's, I don't know what's up with that. I'll enjoy the game until it either gets taken down over it or not, though.

A game with not so good graphics set in a post soviet country with soviet vehicles looks like another game with not so good graphics that is set in a post soviet country with soviet vehicles. ??
I don't think they are stealing assets, it's probably more likely they are just based on the same thing. That truck for example is actually a real truck.
I mean the ZIL for example has diffferent mirrors, higher up gas tank, different wheels, different tray, way smaller indicators on the side, so it's not a 100% ripoff. The Red Star gate exists irl aswell, granted it's not red IRL unless theres another gate with a red star I can't find a picture of. Next Day got the gate ingame closer to the irl one aswell. [t]http://farm5.staticflickr.com/4171/34390189385_114923e588_c.jpg[/t] The gate models themselves are different too. [t]http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/stalker/images/5/5a/Train-hangar-western-approach.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20111202205512[/t] compared to the Next Day ones, the bars at the top are different and there are no bars at the bottom. The closest similarity really is the commie block, but the roof is different, windows are spaced differently, the windows themselves are different, etc.

It's just I feel there's something really off about this game in particular and I encourage someone do some more digging. Food for thought.
Lol none of those models are the same as S.T.A.L.K.E.R's dude. They're based off the same post soviet source material but there are a lot of obvious differences.

Food for thought.
As someone who has hundreds of hours in all three STALKER games + Call of Chernobyl, in the 6 hours I've played Next Day nothing has stood out to me as being stolen straight out of STALKER and nothing about the game seemed off or dodgy to me.
There any STALKER-likes coming out that aren't multiplayer-focused or outright MMOs?

If two people make a 3d model of same object in real life, do they sue eachother because it looks similar? Stalker is well known for being quite accurate to how the places in it look like they do in real life. Next time do your research boy instead of shouting big words. EDIT: Now that i think this over, those don't even look like same thing. They are familiar yes, but there is nothing that looks like it's directly taken from one or another. I shouldn't have even bothered in taking you seriously, but did it anyway.
You can try Faction Wars which I'm pretty sure is an actual, literal copyright fraud that's up on Google store app's right now. Other than that, no.
Back into the shadows I go, then.
--snip--
Wait no, I got the names mixed up. It's actually War Groups.
4.5 star rating. The Google Play store really does have abysmal standards.
Well I have no idea what the fuck is going on, just wasted time, Strelok's Stashes, 2/3 of them were empty, the first one had some shit inside it, the 2nd had a single document and nothing else and the 3rd was completely empty, had absolutely nothing inside it, what gives?

That doesn't make sense, the loot for those are set IIRC. This isn't a modded CoP is it?
War Groups isn't that bad, in my opinion. It's okay. Last time I played, game was hellish hard.

I actually like that, since it just lets me do more STALKER-ing in another game. I hope they change the faction names though, "Civilian" is a weird name for a group that's still carrying guns and fighting people.
I'm hoping they put actual ambient and direct lighting levels in a future update. The day/night cycle exists, and there's shadows, but the contrast between light and shadow is sooo dull it might as well just be cloudy 24/7
