SGM is the best thing I can recommend.
SGM is definitely a mod you should try if you have the time - but be prepared for a very different experience to vanilla CoP. Give it a go blind, and when you run up against a brick wall, post your questions and hopefully we can be some help. [editline]1st August 2017[/editline]
+ Added a post_combat_idle for mutants to utilise old engine features like dragging bodies and eating.
Thank you!

Do you guys know what "stalker loyalty check" is? It's under my steamapps/username, has a folder named Support containing support.dll. Maybe related to CoC? [editline]2nd August 2017[/editline] Also any suggestions on some snowy playthrough? Was looking at http://www.moddb.com/mods/stalker-winter-edition/downloads any other suggestions? There's no winter for CoC is there?
Do you guys know what "stalker loyalty check" is? It's under my steamapps/username, has a folder named Support containing support.dll. Maybe related to CoC?
IIRC it was a license check to grant people a Steam discount on CoP if they owned previous games.
this was such a good feature, just one of the many they removed in CoP for some unknown reason!
They didn't technically remove it. I think it was an oversight when they implemented the new squad system. Mutants don't eat and drag corpses because they are script locked to squad orders. What I did was just disable taking script actions for a short duration after combat if they have no more enemies. So now once again you can see some chomping action or a bloodsucker pick up a stalker carrying him like a ragdoll into a bush somewhere.

But it will be extended if 2C decides to correct some issues that require level editing.
= Fix disappearing grenade for Grenade Launcher attachments = Fix weapon weight calculation. Loaded ammo and grenades affect weight.
I am extremely erect.

What's the opinion on CoCk Texture Pack?
What's the opinion on CoCk Texture Pack?
I'd give it a solid "xDDD if you put k on the end it means penis" out of 10.
What's the opinion on CoCk Texture Pack?
Besides the dumb name, it's a solid texture pack. It's nice to see some fresh textures that aren't just modifications of the Absolute packs.
He says he made most textures on his own, but I think I recognise more than a few textures which aren't his own creation. But other than that, very nice texture pack. Especially the bump maps are very well made.
Aight then, it's installed now. Been a while since I last trekked around the Zone
Turns out my GPU-less machine is able to run Clear Sky so i'm giving it whirl, prefer CoP and SoC no doubt but it's enjoyable enough. Anyway quick question with the Faction system. Just got done Clearing the swamp area of Renegades, does that mean the swamp is safe for good or will enemies respawn and retake stuff in my absense?

He doesn't necessarily say he made them from scratch just that they are "new", which could just mean they aren't ripped from Cromm's work like just about every other texture mod out there.

CoC beta update? Eggsellent. There goes my weekend. Thanks.
there really should be some kind of mod for coc that fleshes out the factions i don't need fancy shmancy megamods or warfare or anything, just some basic dialogue with faction leaders. the number one thing that absolutely murders replay value for me, is after i go on a long and drawn out war with another faction, completely wiping out entire locales full of enemies, clearing out entire bases, turning off brain scorchers and miracle machines left and right, only to come back to my faction leader and be greeted with literally a one-sentenced "thanks", at best. most times though, not even that. nobody seems to give a shit about anything, and i really don't know how you guys manage to set your own goals if none of the characters give a shit or even acknowledge the players accomplishments. i'm willing to dip my toe into stalker modding and try to figure out how to make something like this, a mod that is basically Warfare expect each of the 9 factions have their own step-by-step storyline progression with emphasis on capturing resource points and bases. i'd be primarily focusing on dialogue and questlines, which would be the meat of the mod itself. keeping it strictly sand-box of course, not forcing the player to do anything unless he initiates dialogue first with a faction leader. would anyone be interested in something like this? or am i just that weird dude who needs a list of shit to do in order to have fun?
This already sort of exists: http://www.moddb.com/mods/call-of-chernobyl/addons/doctorx-questlines
i know, i was thinking of making it a bit more linear and hand-crafted in this regard, with unique and extensive dialogue with each and every faction leader, trader and other important characters. dr.x questlines is similar but it's far more open-ended and really lacks the aforementioned "acknowledgement" of player actions. it gives you a list of shit to do and basically leaves it at that.

I would like to see something like that, myself. CoC can feel a bit aimless at times.
video
what was the cause for the 3rd person camera not working in normal ShoC?
what was the cause for the 3rd person camera not working in normal ShoC?
Refresh my memory. I have not played shoc since it was released. The normal 3rd person camera seemed broken in normal CoP (Bullets didn't fire at crosshair), but there was an experimental version of the 3rd person camera hidden behind a -psp command line option (Playstation Portable?), which was an over-the-shoulder third-person camera with an auto-target enemy lock feature. This mode seems to work just fine with the exceptions of the headlamp not pointing where you look and not being able to use zoom mechanic on weapons. I forget which version of CoC (probably 1.3) I made the -psp camera mode the default for third-person. And just the other night fixed the headlamp issue and added some code to switch to first-person when zooming in with weapons. I'm not really certain if Devs intentionally left these camera modes unfinished or what. But whoever designed these modes to begin with would have been smart enough to fix these in less than a minutes time if they really wanted to.
Stalkerbros images 404 :c The inevitable attrition of time takes all.
Ah I was hosting them on my Dropbox and forgot they killed public links a while ago. Here I reuploaded them onto imgur for you guys :) Stalker Bros 2011 Stalker Bros 2009 And don't worry about losing all of the old STALKER stuff. I made sure to keep these memories safe because they're precious not only to me but to everyone else here.
