Watch all the hype they are trying to make and the only changes end up being some tweaks and removal of that copyrighted material.
Though if I'm optimistic i'd hope they'd have some new features and maybe a weapon pack integrated as well
Im a fan of MISERY (gasp) so im actually looking forward to this. Not sure what new features actually made it in but stuff like the dismantling feature will be cool to see.

Apparently OGSE used to have a lot of quests to do after the conclusion of the main story, the "freeplay" quests, but they were removed in the final version because the team felt like it was too much to include in the mod. :frown:
In OGSE, has anyone ever [sp]found the unknown artifact (the elusive yellow one in Darkscape) after the completion of those quests? Sakharov has a follow-up dialogue that appears after an in-game day or so about how the artifact disappeared in transit and how it isn't even at the darkscape anymore. He mentions that if you ever find it, you should bring it back, but it doesn't start a new quest or anything.[/sp]

Oh man. You're right. Yuri over at the ModDb forums said what you said. It's a shame. I hope we can see them someday in the OGSR version. I remember having read about the Freeplay quests, completing 100% the game and then finding out it was a C-Consciousness ploy all along :disgust:
Regarding your second point...[sp]Have you faced two fearsome enemies where you first found the artifact? If the answer is yes, then there is nothing more to the quest. Otherwise, you should back to the place where the yellow rolling ball artifact was found.
Can't recall if you first found those two enemies or you had to go through the OP as fuck anomaly field. If you already overcame both obstacles then that's it! I don't remember the reward but it was a cool item [/sp]
Oh, and if anybody has trouble with the Treasure Trove quest where you have to find a guy in Bar, near the exit to Army Warehouses and you don't find anyone, check out around the bushes which are to the right of the road, just as you exit the bar buildings. [sp]If you find nothing, walk around a little until an event happens.[/sp]

Even if MISERY early game gunplay is kinda or extremely crappy, the length and balance of middle/middle-late game is one of the most satisfying experiences. The gun fights are awesome and they do feel very tight. Sadly, late game balance goes out the window if you manage to find Strelok's SIG and modify it 100%. I found no other reason to pack anything else than that. A short burst (with the godlike ROF) will take down anything instantly. I hope they address that kind of issues.

[sp]Yeah, I went through each part of the quest and killed the electro-chimeras. The reward was a Red Star, a transmute artifact, a cool item indeed. The dialogue option with Sakharov I spoke of happens after this - some span of game-time had to pass before it was available, a day or two I think. He says the artifact disappeared in transit to a research lab in the big land, that it could now be anywhere in the zone, and that if I should find it again, to bring it back to him. He specifically mentions the artifact's absence at Darkscape. I was wondering if this is actually true, and if you can actually rediscover it, or if it's just fluff. Again, there's no quest, just the speech. [/sp]

Is that part of the [sp]Klondike quest, or is it something else? I can't remember. I did all the quests I could find, but I'm positive I'm still missing stuff. Trying to complete everything in OGSE I can.[/sp]

[sp] Yes. That's the reward item. There's nothing more to it AFAIK as I really did travel around the zone. Perhaps it may appear under rare circumstances like when you have find that artifact under the rain inside an electro anomaly.
And regarding the second point, yes, it's the Klondike chain quests. I believe it was #3 as I took my time walking around the Bar trying to find the guy who I need to meet as per the objective details.

TKGP, Secret Trails had a patch after your translation, it requires a new game and is incompatible with the existing English adaptation. [url]https://yadi.sk/d/HiwxGPGynWNFM[/url]. Hopefully this will fix the third quest being broken. I can play in Russian for now, but if you could do a new translation or fix the old one that'd be awesome. The mod's pretty cool, one of the better story mods I've played so far.

That's a cool way to increase the sense of progression a bit. That way you can influence carry weight in another way besides suit/artifacts.
Now if only we could get Escape from Tarkov's inventory/search system.

I would love for the backpacks to decrease stamina faster the bigger they are and for instance also limit jump height / run speed. Is such a feature possible? I think it would be interesting due to the metagame you introduce with such little changes and diversities between the backpacks

Hey Alundaio, any plans to fix the drawcull issues when wandering through buildings?
Example is the lone train station near Yanov. Walking around and looking through windows, I can actively watch the farther elements disappear and reappear depending on my position. Another spot is the place where you find materials for fixing dude in Yanov, multi-story building with sparklers on the roof access (I've been building up supplies there so those are my main examples :v: ).
Speaking of buildings, I've not updated to the latest CoC since i'm using CoM currently

Yeah, most SoC areas weren't designed for a sun that goes that low and as such the meshes don't have a backside or a NOSUN mesh behind them. It would be nice to see that fixed, but it's probably not even worth the effort :v:
I wish CoM had an OL addon or something. I think beta ambience would really go well with the mod merge, but the existing ambient sound mods and stuff like that don't seem to work on CoM.

They work just like outfits, they have:
additional_inventory_weight (walk weight)
additional_inventory_weight2 (max weight)
power_loss (it affects power restore speed as well as stamina it takes to move/jump)
So they already take this into account.

I haven't played a STALKER game in a while but I installed CoC and I'm having lots of fun.
Except for one thing.
I have 7 Expert Toolkits, 1 Advanced Toolkit... and I have not found a -single- Basic Toolkit in like 20 hours. Is there anywhere where there just IS a toolkit, like, guaranteed?
