i've tried installing all 3 of the main weapon overhauls for coc, but each one of them crashes the game upon start. what gives? are they not compatible with the latest update?

I just started playing Clear Sky and wonder why I don't hear sounds while using items and PDA notifications about new stashes. Is that intended? How to fix that?
I don't understand what's wrong with it? It looks great to me. I thought they were very pretty screenshots.

I dont understand how filtering works on the moddb addons, anytime I try to sort it does nothing, I want to see more recent mods dern it.

The ambient occlusion / the darkness around objects is super dark and tightly contained around the objects when AO is supposed to be a softer look and spread.

In my experience, STALKER subreddit is mostly filled with memes and help threads, like " I'm new to the series. Which game should I play first? " But it isn't that bad imo.

Oh, I see what you mean. I tweaked the AO in OGSE because it seemed like interior areas were overly illuminated/pseudo-fullbright with the default settings.

To restore the 'stash found' sound, uncomment this line in gamedata/scripts/news_manager.script by removing the double-hyphen initiating the line:
[code]-- xr_sound.set_sound_play(db.actor:id(), "pda_tips")[/code]
I'm pretty sure using consumables [I]does[/I] generate a sound in vanilla - it's just a generic one that isn't unique to the consumable.

They're honestly really easy to kill when you close on them, it really makes you more confident and the teleport run-swipe stops being an issue.
