i tried to play the sp with my friend and the game locked up to hell had to restart my pc knockoff stalker boys

I just remembered that in MISERY you can basically spend the whole game high up on cocaine + morphine and go around blasting shit without having ever to walk around, just sprinting, and being almost invulnerable to anything. No wonder Degtyarev chose to stay in the zone. EDIT: Oh maaaan not another WTF moment. I just lost my Gauss rifle trying to get it repaired by Nitro. Instead of pressing F, I pressed G, dropped the weapon thus giving it to Nitro :why: EDIT2: Hey alundaio, by chance, have you managed to find a way to fix the ROF of the An94 on full auto? If I'm not mistaken, it has the same ROF that the 2 shot burst has. Or there is no way to fix that?

Stalker is a very much acquired taste from what i've seen, people either love it and are willing to feel their way around, or they hate a good FPS challenge

If game dont lead you by hand from the beginning, protect you with auto-aim and AI that just stand in the middle of map, and most important, game dont provide you instant action for first 1 minutes, for typical teenager such game is boring and too hard. And I can just assume that he played vanilla game, his weak and retarded brain just cant process any game that is not 4k ultra-mega-giga quality with more lens flares than all J.J. Abrams movies combined. This is one of reason why I HATE new consoles. Because of those new games for new consoles players are used to auto-aim, retarded AI, auto-regeneration and fallowing tunnel-like gameplay with lots of help and tips during gameplay. Problem is that developers almost ALWAYS design game for console and then just port it to PC, so all those annoying things are in PC version. But even PC exclusive games are designed to be playable by everyone. And now we have new generation of players that where raised on such games and anything that need their attention and focus is too much for them... Im not saying that this is such situation but overall this is problem with today games, and Stalker, being old-school is just to hard and ugly for them.

I dont like Overwatch but I dont call it stupid after 9 minutes... Hell! I hate Minecraft but I dont call it stupid, because I see its potential and Im trying to not look at its community(pure cancer as I see it.) Also please separate "Fallout" from "Fallout 3 or 4" because its like fire and water. New fallout is one of best example what is wrong with games today that I mentioned in previous post. You could write book about whats wrong about it...

Honestly if he played for literally only 9 minutes then yeah, that's shitty. I love it to death but SoC moreso than any other game in the seires has some very, [i]very[/i] serious flaws, but you'd have to play longer than that to actually see most of them. To be fair though, the game doesn't exactly give a great first impression either. The early game of SoC is pretty miserable your first time through and the early guns feel like raw ass to use which is definitely going to be off-putting.

Probably the best STALKER game to start someone who is unfamiliar with older FPSes on is CoP

I had to make hotkey macros just to enjoy the game properly. There are ways to design cost-effective UI that works well for both gamepad and m+kb, it's a shame this is a problem.

Best game to start is SoC with few mods or one of first release of Oblivion Lost :D Its bugged as hell, but compared to new games its actually not that bad. But I would stick to Standard SoC and FORCE anyone to play it for minimum 3 hours. not 9min, I dont care if you need to go to bathroom.
