Man, one thing I keep forgetting bugs the shit out of me in Clear Sky Does Scar have fucking Haemophilia or something? He just bleeds forever if he gets hurt and you have to use like half a dozen bandages to stop it :v:
Bleeding in SoC was little more than a nuisance since you got like 50 trillion bandages from corpses and they completely stopped bleeding and healed you a little bit, so GSC buffed bleeding and made bandages only stop a little bit of bleeding and not give you any health back. At least that's my theory. If you were to use some metaphor to describe Scar's and Strelok's use of bandages, I guess Scar would be a victim of fifth degree burns and Strelok would be a mummy halloween costume.
I dread the day I come across a stalker mod that has Darkscape modded in, but the mod itself doesn't have vehicle support
Damnit, I'm playing CoC and jogging across that goddamn place was exactly what I had to do the other day :disgust: (there's no vehicles in CoC, are there?) Had a hit on some dude hanging out by the tunnel to Cordon, so I thought I'd take "just a slight detour" and get that mission done on my way to Sidorovich. Yeah, fuck that. Both military and bandits blocking the way, nary a single piece of cover and no scope on my shooter. I'd probably have quit if it wasn't for a random blowout to spice things up.
You can only spawn vehicles in coc. I guess they're still in beta like coc itself.
New Arsenal 4.4 Playing it right now, it's gut
Got a link for it? Also, what patch is it on?
i like the dark valley in coc, i dont really mind the tree cover combat
My favorite map is the Army Warehouses because you have the Freedom base to get drunk/high in then you can head over to the bloodfucker village to have some real fun.
Is CoC the mod that turns all three games into one? Is that THE way to play now?
it has its issues, namely a lack of direction or purpose but other than that its really good
I just want fucking gunslinger to come out goddamn
it has its issues, namely a lack of direction or purpose but other than that its really good
Is completing the objectives in the story mode what you're basically supposed to do to "complete" CoP? I've actually started an ironman playthrough (despite lambasting it earlier) as an Ecologist (because I'm a massive pussy). It's going kind of well so far, the NPCs you can recruit provide a massive survivability boost since ducking into cover will cause bandits to target your colleagues rather than work on flanking you.
Is CoC the mod that turns all three games into one? You can go wherever you want except areas under Brainscorcher range. It's not like other three game where you have main quests+side quests to ignore, it's up to you to not get bored in the Zone.
The way to play? nah It's a game where you have nothing to do but do the jobs from other stalkers - shoot this, find that, rescue that guy and that's it. It's has no voice-over or anything though. I'm currently doing it now but with Ironman I'm certain the Labs will end me horribly.
Ironman in CoC is fun until you suddenly die to slav bugs. I remember I cleared out all the stalkers from Rostok and saw the Arena door for some reason was unhinged and floating in midair, until I accidentally bumped it and it slammed back in place, lodging my flailing corpse in between.
Yeah, CoC lack its proper story but honestly if you strip SoC from Strielok, replace it with "just another stalker" character and turn off all cut scenes you end with similar gameplay as Story mode in CoC(turn off, bring, go kill). True that its just one plot, and it lack those side quest that make game more alive(eg. Sidorovich, barman, those small but connected with each other quest from dudy/freedom). But instead we have more random quest from random stalkers. They are repetitive, but Stalker is not only game with that problem(eg, Fallout 4 where most of missions are bring/kill) so its not big deal, especially that most of us played at least 100 times original stalker so repetitive gameplay is not something that we cant tolerate :P What I would like to see in CoC is better way to deal with artifacts, because this is reason why everyone is there. But when playing, its just feel like its some useless addon that you pick up if you close to anomaly field and you have few seconds to spare. What I would like to see are smaller, invisible anomalies fields, that will force player to use detector more often in different areas. + I would revert idea from first Stalker where you actually treat artifacts as bonuses where you need to spend some time mixing them together, not just pick them up to sell. Because CoP really F up this idea, not only it lack proper "action" and you just wonder around map with rest of stalkers but you dont get any fun from gathering artifacts like in SoC.
Is anyone else getting a bit worn out by STALKER? I used to love playing it all the time, but something about it now can't keep my attention. I guess it's because I've played all of the games so many times over and I'm just getting tired by the content.

Do any of you have the editors to change the FOV and grass render distance of SHOC? It's not on the repository.
Also Wormwood was cancelled so it's easy to see why you might feel modding had peaked...

That's what happens when you play any game over and over unfortunately... I haven't played the game pretty much at all since around the time CoP came out, now I'm having a blast again. Maybe do some ironman runs?

I'll probably wait a few years and get some nice mod I haven't tried yet to play it again.

Just cherish the many hours it's given you already and put it aside for a while, it sucks to wait so long but it really helps in making you want to play it and get invested again.
I'm really surprised no one has posted it here, it is really well done.[sp]I even went and checked every page since July.[/sp]
Soups are the best "Marked one go grab a jacket" "Sure" Picking up the jacket causes hundreds of zombies to spawn who overrun the cordon [t]https://pics.me.me/blyat-25461066.png[/t]
Which mod is that? Sounds like fun
It was one of the many Narodnaya Solyanka builds, unfortunately I don't remember the exact one
My fondest SOUP memory is still the woke as fuck moment Morgen Freeman landed a helicopter in front of me to sell me drugs with the worst translation I've ever seen, and when I didn't buy the drugs it meant several hours later I was instantly killed by a mutant that somehow zombified me through every one of my saves.
Did all the soups start you off in a cave with a minigun blasting skeletons?
Did all the soups start you off in a cave with a minigun blasting skeletons?
Oh man, I hate this so much. This cave is the sole reason I will never play any soups and derivatives. [sp]NEVER EVER[/sp]
You mean you don't like wandering aimlessly through caves with no map while the Resident Evil movie theme plays, while also having barrels thrown at you by dwarfs and poltergeists... What are you, [t]https://ka-perseus-graphie.s3.amazonaws.com/b7233b353c7b4b5b0e2cf5e19fa4067f1dd25701.svg[/t] a square?
