You mean you don't like wandering aimlessly through caves with no map while the Resident Evil movie theme plays, while also having barrels thrown at you by dwarfs and poltergeists...
What are you,

Oh god, how could I forget the constant Resident Evil theme throughout the cave

When is AO or STCoP likely to be updated for the latest version of CoC? When it leaves beta?
Had a look at OWR, but noped when I saw it kept vanilla stats.

For what it's worth vanilla stats in CoC are actually pretty heavily tweaked compared to CoP, weapons do more damage across the board and TTK is nowhere near as bad.
But yeah, when 1.5 comes out AO/STCoP will be updated.
My issue with the cave in SOUP wasn't even the confusing tunnel system or the tons of mutants you mow down with a minigun,
but that cluster of anomalies right before you talk to demonDoc that will instakill you unless you trigger them all simultaneously and sprint through in the span of .2 seconds.

That part of the cave and the big hall right before it with the huge fountain anomaly piss me off so much.
Nothing beats contracting super AIDS from Sidorovich in Priboi Story and The Doors musical number in Secret Trails 2, though. Also possibly the angry midget from that abandoned house past Cordon's rail bridge in Lost Alpha.
Tecno's soup had really fucked up balancing to the point where a spas 12 can snipe reliably and instakill most stalkers at 100 meters. I shat myself when a psuedogiant ran at me from the entrance of X18 but I just killed it in less than a magazine worth of ammo.
This SOUP sounds incredibly insane.
Any videos of this?
I remember installing techno's SOUP and in the tunnel under the bridge in Cordon there was some blue artifact or something that glowed brighter than the sun and it brought the game down to 2 fps, wtf

The SOUP honestly should be experienced firsthand if your rig can remotely handle it because it is something to be witnessed with your own eyes.
Just got done with SoC's main story arc - got [sp]the 'Immortality' fake ending and then the C-Consciousness refusal ending[/sp]
Now to either mod the shit out of it, or move on to Clear Sky and then Call of Pripyat
If you can get through the Agroprom part of the main quest in Techno-Soup you deserve some kind of award
In the underground you will try to enter the tunnel into Strelok's stash only to activate some bullshit teleport puzzle with the journal entry being "You know what to do lol"
I did not...
Eventually it will be time to leave the underground, thankfully the stealth works amazingly [sp]that's a lie shhhh[/sp] so as soon as your Slavic butt emerges from the underground everyone in the army base will know where you are. Being spotted then spawns in a helicopter that also spawns in a platoon of soldiers who are also wearing exo-suits
Plus every single person has perfect accuracy and superhuman reflexes because fuck you
Still fun though
Oh man, I hate this so much.
This cave is the sole reason I will never play any soups and derivatives.
[sp]NEVER EVER[/sp]
The cave wasn't actually as bad as I remembered last time I played it, but maybe they made it easier.
The Strelok stash teleporter puzzle was far worse.

I don't know, I didn't get past the cave.
:v:
Sometimes I think Soup was just a joke that get out of the hand, and people though its real.
Its just like modern art: Some guy made painting of lots of spilled color lines and put it in gallery, and people thought its art because it was in "art gallery"...
Soup reminds me of modded Source servers that have gigabytes of custom models and Quake 3 and UT99 announcer sounds and RPG mods, etc.
Basically, it's a mess.

AO is already updated, tho unofficially.

I use it on 1.5 and it works just like you'd expect
Where can I download soup?

I remember the first time I played SoC, I couldn't figure out how to stealth that part and always just got shot up. So I went into one of the barracks, crouched behind a bed, and gunned down each of the guys that rolled up one at a time through the door. Took forever, cuz it went from dead of night to daylight, but the place eventually got cleared out.
And that was how I learned how to exploit STALKER AI.
Where can I download soup?
I dunno if tecnobacon's soup is still the generally accepted one, so someone could gently correct me if it isn't anymore.
I think Joint Pak 2 is another interesting thing to check out.
i cant speak from experience but the diagram in the op recommends "STALKERSOUP"
If you dont want to experience mental breakdown and you still want to like Stalker after playing, there is mentioned tecnobacon's soup or NS2016 version, as for installation of Tecno all info is on site, here are links for NS2016:

I tried StalkerSoup by TecnoBacon but it crash happy and weird (technical) issues happen.
Pity because it was huge modification, not much bullshit happening until Agroprom and overall it was more pleasant experience than Joint Pack 2.
Which mod is that? Sounds like fun
Joint Pack 2, for sure. Top5 the hardest STALKER mods in the history, period (other ones are NLC and Reborns, another work of art).
Thanks to the indestructible enemies that are tougher than average pseudogigants in other mods, if you shoot them with bullets.
Misery? Hard? Just headshot enemies and deal with it.
But not JP2. You can dump a mag upon mag into enemy face* from AK and they won't go down.
I played dozen mods for all Stalkers and even so called "bullet sponges bandits wearing leather jackets in Misery2" were not that bad.
*it should be noted that NPCs head have few hitboxes so wearing helmet won't save them from shot to the jaw (and dying).

Does it utilize that new rank and location dependant loot destribution from 1.5?
Or you still meet bandos with expensive weapons at Cordon? I want my hobo-phase as long as possible, but without Misery bullshit.

Fuck I forgot about the Agroprom base with 40 dudes in exoskeletons. It took me more quicksaves for that than the entirety of playing the Stalker games.

only thing worse than the soup is reborn, in terms of easily accessible mods of course.
there'll be shit you'll find only on the deepest reaches of yandex that you'll never find through google

I've always really liked this track. I wish Marilyn Manson made more stuff in this vein.
Is Dushman in Dead City meant to have no trading stock? He shows as trader, but seems to have nothing to sell. What Merc character would have trading stock?
By far the hardest mod I've ever played is Narodnaya Solyanka.
During a night you have a chance of triggering a horror night, which spawn modified zombies and new mutants everywhere. Good luck surviving that outside the populater areas.
Also the fucking cave level at the start. Took a lot of time to finish that shit.
Cave isn't so bad once you know the way,
Up the thing, take a left, take a right, go through the exit on the back right in the big room with the anomaly in the middle, down the thing, and finally throw a bolt an the electro anomalies jump though and sell all the mutant parts for cheese money
Bob's your uncle
