oh and ret DOES need buffing really, because of the fact that a shaman or a mage in the similar gear level that my paladin is in for ret they could hit 5-6k deeps. whereas i hit 3.

Jesus, Fuck questing. I just did one round of AV, and I wasn't even there when it started. I went from level 55 with one bar of xp to nine bars. Eight bars of XP for playing half a fucking round of AV.

ret doesnt need buffing. it needs a factor in the rotation or gameplay that means you can improve your dps via skill. Ret is completely gear dependant. youre fucking horrible at the game if you dont know that
