I spent 2k gemming and enchanting my tank gear I got as offoffspec, after holy/ret, and it turns out being a tank basically means you can do what and when you feel like. No rush of being replaced, and even if you do, you're a tank, you'll get somewhere next.
Thats why it winds me up the main officers in my guild are also the tanks, they get all the first tokens due to the tank gear priority. Funny really.
should i drop mining on my warlock for alchemy (mining is at 336) and i rarely use it, i was like "fuck yeah ill mine some titanium ore after i get to 450" or w/e but that's impossible because of hackers mining everything in the zone in 3 seconds.
right now i'm getting the money by making icy prisms, and buying rare gems, transmuting them to epic gems (via someone elses alchemy), and selling them on the AH for like 300% profit. If i had alchemy i could do 2x the transmutations and get more money, however i'm not sure how much it costs to power level alchemy
Mining is easy. Just get epic flying and spam directions. You'll beat hackers if you just ignore how long you might have to wait to find a single ore, but still, it could be fun!

Powerleveling alchemy would cost like... 1k gold or something like that. I just farmed everything myself.
But the transmutation specialty can go fuck itself, three weeks of transmuting epic gems and only one proc.
