Damn, the game keeps quitting with the error "fatal error in gc: GetThreadContext failed".
I had the same thing in Kerbal Space Program, and turning off ESET solved that. Doesn't do the trick with this game.
does saving not work? :(
made a cool castle, tried to save but had to run. looks like it didn't work
If you press escape then resume game it bugs and you can't open that menu again until you restart the game. You can avoid this by not pressing resume game when you pause and instead only using the escape key.
Had an odd glitch where I saved and reloaded and I had my guys where they saved and also back at the center crystal woo!
Had an odd glitch where I saved and reloaded and I had my guys where they saved and also back at the center crystal woo!
My friend had this happen to him everytime he loaded a save file. Seems like regardless of where they are when you save, the game automatically spawns 5 new Bricktrons at each load game.
Perhaps people don't want to pay for something they are unsure about?
From what I've seen in the videos the prototype version looks really bad compared the developer version.
The prototype version and developer version are essentially the same thing. Everything looks better in the videos because:
1. The devs are doing it, and they know what they are doing but also start with semi pre-made worlds and hacks
2. Obviously they are going to try and show only the polished bits, and re-record if major bugs pop up.
The thing is the developer videos are almost a year old, you'd think they had more than enough time to make it playable.
Controls made me hang myself, revive my body, then hang myself again.
My god.
It took me 2 hours to figure out how to build a stockpile.
I'll be streaming shortly if anyone wants to come on and share their expertise with me since I am a newb to the building process

completely unplayable. How the fuck do you cancel block placement?
Chose the same block to build with and click on the wireframe

A bit late but just an fyi, saving won't work if you have people assigned to groups. So remove them/delete the group and it should work.
okay, spawning 200 AI with a 100 of each side is bad.

Shift+Click. Works for both phantom and real blocks.

You'd be surprised; I believe that they only really managed to buy proper development tools after the kickstarter money got in, and you must remember that this is still a very alpha stage. They are more worried about getting vital features in and fixing bugs later, because it's important that they don't spend time polishing features which could later be removed. It's quite probable that many essential features we're taking for granted were put in then: for example, the radial building menu and the X-Ray. It's quite probable that others such as the group system, the whole "spirit" system and others were implemented or finished up during this time.
I do agree that is is very painful to play, and it really is quite sad considering how fun it can get once you get going, but they said they'd give small bug fix updates for any game-breaking bugs in the beta, like the one where workers become derpy and stop doing anything. That should hopefully make it overall more enjoyable.
Even so, I do think a lot of the problems would be fixed with a decent tutorial and user interface. This is something that is really quite difficult for the developers to judge, since they made the game and thus know their complete way around it. I hope they will take this all into consideration for the beta.

Saving works with groups for me, but in my experience all the guys become derpy and stop doing anything, and 5 new guys spawn as if you started a new game.
I keep getting bricktons stuck in my stockpiles :suicide:
I usually just make long strips, and it seems to work fine. If you place others, make sure they are at least a stockpiles width away from each other.
[editline]Edit:[/editline]
Humm, you know what this game'll need once corruptrons are properly implemented? A "lockdown" feature; you don't want your miners to continue mining and your loggers to continue logging when they come, instead you'd want them to run inside the castle and shut the gates. Having a big button on the UI to retreat to user-defined zones would be useful.

Just made this bridge:

It exploded pretty awesomely
With debug mode enabled, how do i disable explosions upon clicking after activating it, i ended up blowing up all my guys and a bridge trying to figure out.
man the guys dont even do anything for me.
Holy balls is this a little bit buggy and hard to control. I just had some Jeb guy alternate between dimensions, flickering bewteen two locations. It was as if he was two men at once.

He does that
Why is it so buggy, anyways? The dev version didn't seem nearly this bad.
After messing with this game for a while I have decided that I have given up completely until the next release :v:
holy shit when did this come out and why did nobody tell me
we wanted to keep it a secret so we could surprise you
suprise

practical solution
Anyone else has this bug which makes empty mining or building groups which you can't put any bricktron in (so basically makes you unable to do anything) ? Also is it common that bricktrons just ignore one's commands and just stand around doing nothing ?
Behold the mighty catapult tower:

Mash rightclick in a distant open area. When they are just standing around and doing nothing, chances are their pathing is screwed up and moving them will fix it.
Oh shit it's out?
Where do I get it?

This should get you in the right direction
