Badger men invaded my fortress and tore out someone's guts in the food hall that nobody uses ever. Anyway this looks really cool and I hope to see it get completed.

I hope the castle story baddies are as fearsome as the DF baddies. I mean, I still break out in sweat when I see a friggin' elephant in DF even long after they were fixed... I just can't help but feel one day dwarfblood will catch their scent again... So yeah, I hope I fear for my brick-a-tron's LIVES when I see a baddy looming on another floating island

Yeah it looks fun as hell, but the first video was released a few days ago so it probably will not be released for a year (assuming the devs are competent IE not cortex command devs)

The physics in this game look great, I can see many possibilities of making a "decoy" bridge to have the monsters cross and blowing it up while they are on it.

All of my money, I was obsessed with lego and mechanics when I was younger, so naturally a game like this that goes even remotely towards a dwarf fortress style is amazing.

Why would you make a sequel to a perfect game?

I've not played much of cave story but from what I hear of it I doubt a sequel could live up to expectations. I would much rather have this.

They should just made a teaser for youtube and left it at that. Now they are begging for them to take their money for an alpha. Alpha releases more often then not don't work out too good..

Depending on how good the game actually is ofcourse. I would buy it in a second though.

Chances are there are a good deal of things that they DIDN'T showcase that are bad and buggy, so yeah, an alpha may not work out so well. Personally though, I'd be fine with them releasing it with a big disclaimer saying something along the lines of 'THIS IS A PRE-ALPHA, EXPECT IT TO NOT WORK WELL, IF AT ALL'.
