it is just not the same thing.. I tried this at a game conference, and I tell ya' all. it is fun as hell..
If I didn't have orange box already I might have bought it.
$99 is a lot for a controller and penumbra.
the device is good for racing games aswell though. It's not just restricted to FPS and the feel mode is epic

One point though postage is expensive. It's $66.50 to send to UK I'm not sure of other prices to other countries
I've always thought this thing was a huge gimmick. It would be fun to feel things, for like 10 minutes, but then that's about it.
I still have my limited edition one :buddy:
They even replaced the power brick when it got lost in a recent move for free :3:

So, I'm getting this as a Christmas present. My parents are ordering (I'm paying for part of it) it Friday and I don't get to open it until Christmas. ;_;

Looking now, only some games are supported. I don't game much, but I'd like to know all my games would work.
Supposedly they are working on drivers to make it work with any game... but I am not sure until then.
If I wait until then though the price would be back up probably.
I'd buy it if I had the money, although I'm in debt right now from borrowing to much.
I've owned one for a few months now, it really enhances the gameplay for everything it supports, but unfortunately it doesn't support much. It's defidently worth 99$, but it wasn't worth the 170 I paid for it.
I think I might just get a webcam and the program to make anything into a mouse setup.
Unless they finally release novints drivers to let the gun act as a mouse so it works for any game.
Now if only I had 100 bucks :(
I will probably get one for Christmas, too bad it doesn't support much now... but I have faith that there will be more future support. Especially after this sale, I'm sure more people will have it.
So far the only thing that intrigues me about this is the force feedback it gives using certain weapons. That is not enough to really buy it though.
This would be really neat to show off to friends.

Wasn't one of these in the G.I. Joe movie? Anyways, they're pretty cool but nothing I'd spend the cash on.
I absolutely refuse to buy that thing. I have a mouse that serves the same purpose for half the price, or 1/4 the price if we're talking about the non-sale price.
