Does it work with any games other than those listed on the website? Third-party mods and all that jazz?

How likely would you say them supporting MW2 or most major shooters in the next, 3 months is? Anyways, I play TF2 a lot, and this looks like it'd be pretty cool for HL2 and stuff too, so I'll probably be getting one.

So, who here who has one recommends it?
So, who here who has one recommends it?
Get it if you got alot of games on the list that you want to add a new challenge to.
I have all the VALVe games and both Battlefields, I'll probably get it.
Once the new F-Gen Drivers come out for the Novint, I'm getting Borderlands for the PC and I'm totally making new maps. :D I'm so excited.
What are these F-gen drivers they keep talking about?
I have all the VALVe games and both Battlefields, I'll probably get it.
Wait, this works on Battlefield? Cool. That must make it much more interesting to play. I'm not sure but I think it may work with normal windows (need to check that though)

Oh man, that would actually be pretty cool. I just made myself sad now :frown:
I would get this if I had any money.
Good lord is this compatible with killing floor?
Alright, I will buy it. I hope it is as good as you guys say.
As said the F-Gen drivers will allow global support for any program (including Windows). You will be able to have per-application settings so that each one can be specifically set. You will also be able to script settings so you can make psudo per-weapon settings (like typing 1 has different forces than clicking 2). There is an alpha out for 32 bit Windows that just has mouse function but the beta (with scripting) is slated to be released before the end of the year (32 and 64 bit supported). There will be an import/export system so that the community build and share the game settings that they create. As time goes on more tools will be added in for us to use (gesture events and pixel reading are planned.
Bought mine :)
I just ordered mine in black :D I can't wait.

You just got half of Facepunch to buy this.
Bought mine :)
welcome to the falcon community! Check out the forums http://home.novint.com/community/message_boards.php
Am I reading this clearly? The text at the bottom reads: *Discounted from our Christmas pricing of $174.99 and $184.99 for our white and black Falcon bundles, respectively. To receive your Black Friday savings, enter the code ‘NovintXmas’ when making your purchase! If you are looking for an even greater discount this holiday season, try looking for a code from one of Novint’s referral program members. So if I use 'NovintXmas' and the referral code I got 'FALCONSALE' could I get it for 79.99? Has anyone gotten this to work?

So how many people have purchased a falcon?
I'm contemplating this purchase, and it's a tough one; is it something that I'll continue to enjoy down the line, or is it more of a novelty item? Oh, and also: is it more difficult to aim than a mouse?
I'm contemplating this purchase, and it's a tough one; is it something that I'll continue to enjoy down the line, or is it more of a novelty item? Oh, and also: is it more difficult to aim than a mouse?
it's something that will become more enjoyable overtime as they are adding more and more support for games. The aim varies, but it is apparently better then the mouse. I ordered mine a week ago and so it should come this week. I think it's a wise investment for gaming.
I have a falcon. Too lazy to hook it up and play though the half life series with it. Also need the pistol grip :(
I have a falcon. Too lazy to hook it up and play though the half life series with it. Also need the pistol grip :(
pistol grip is $20 not too bad
With shipping to Canada and the current conversion rate it works out to $161.15 for me, but that's still about $90 off. I'm going to order one, I'm just waiting for a response from sales to see if I can get it for a little cheaper without the orange box. Also yes, the black is totally sexy enough to be worth $10 more in my eyes :v:
pistol grip is $20 not too bad
Yea but it took FOREVER for them to get in stock for longer than a week
Yea but it took FOREVER for them to get in stock for longer than a week
fair enough
Jordguitar, try posting on Novint's forums. Tom (the CEO) has put in several personal orders for a pistol grip. He may be able to help you there. As to enjoyability/continued use, your milage may vary. With the F-Gen drivers approaching though you'll have tons more to play with. Aiming isn't any worse. It takes some getting used to (10-20 hours) but it won't detract from your skill once you get used to it. That seems to be one of the biggest (yet unfounded) criticisms from people who don't have a Falcon. A close seccond is game support but F-Gen will fix a lot of that.
