yeah, I'm not saying it's bad that Thorny made this thread about it, but there's no reason that his comment is valid about commission mostly due to the price the falcon dropped to Novint wouldn't make much

Very little of Facepunch browses the Steam forums, and many people didn't even know about the Falcon before this thread.

It was a good idea to post it, but you're not getting anything apart from the feeling of doing something good. The Novint Falcon isn't a game it's a piece of hardware

Half Life 2 support is not included, you need to download the Haptics Life 2 mod under the games tab above. Half Life 2 does not use the same engine so that is why its not supported. On a side note the Falcon works with several mods, that use EP 1 and 2. Reasearch and development and Minerva Metastasis are just a couple.

Anyway...
Doing a quick little test it appears that the Falcon is 6.2 lbs.
And you don't have to do anything but install the Falcon drivers to get HL2 EP2 to work. Installing the drivers before you get the Falcon can cause some issues with the game (easilly fixed but easier to avoid). The original HL2 needs a patch (called Haptix Life 2) since it uses a different engine than the later installments.
I, for one, and pumped for L4D2 support. I hope they release their F-Gen drivers soon.
I would get one if it was about $50 and had some room for it. Right now my desk is too cluttered.
I've actually wanted one all along, the price just wasn't right for me. When I saw it jump down with that deal and the pistol grip I jumped on it. I love to try out new things. I can't wait for it to come.

I got the Penumbra key right away, but I haven't received the Orange Box one yet. Then again, I ordered mine yesterday.
