Everytime I look at a planet and go closer to it, my fps drops from 80 to 5

Tune down anisotropic, set Vram manually, in emergency turn off antialiasing.

This is pretty awesome, but whenever I move my view up and down I get a lot of flickering and blacking out. Is there something I can change to fix this or is this just an engine problem?

e: Oh duh, turning on VSync in the config fixed it. I'm a moran.

In your Space Engine/Config folder, you can open up main.cfg with notepad, and scroll down to this:

// screenshots and startup splash window settings
f_ScreenshotFormat "png" // screenshot format (tga, dds, jpg, png)
f_jpegQuality 85 // jpeg compression quality

Change PNG to JPG and 85 to 100, which is what I did. JPG doesn't look as good as PNG but the filesize and not having to open up in Photoshop to save as a Jpg for bandwidth saving images is worth it

Aww, this wont start for me :saddowns:. It goes into a white screen, then some planet it says to be Earth, but it doesn't have textures and then it freezes completely.
