You need to copy your Data folder from 0.84 to the 0.90 Data folder.

I have done that. The only thing that's textured for me was Earth. This 'comfort terra' is just an orange ball.
Check to make sure that your textures are in the right place. As well as your catalogues.

Pulsars actually spin, that's cool.
Catalogs and textures are under 'Data'
Hm, try downloading the mirror and see if it works.

I've been so busy looking at planets/moons I forgot about all the other Space phenomenon.
This life bearing moon I found, its Orbital period is exactly the same as its rotational period, right down to the millisecond
[QUOTE=Synelor;28983768]VY Canis Majoris is the largest star currently known to us.[/QUOTE]
Thats the one. That, how the hell do i find that. :v:
I wonder if the creator plans and adding Light maps to earth for the dark side, and maybe randomly to "life" bearing planets.

F3 + Type in the name

Wait, I can't find it in the program. Strange
How do you search for life bearing planets (Where does it say so in the description?)
In fact, can someone translate the readme into something understandable?

An English read me comes with 0.90
You can't specifically search for life bearing Planets, its all trial and error. Most of the life bearing planets I found were actually moons orbiting gas giants.
[QUOTE=God of Ashes;28984348]how are you able to go to the planet? Mine doesn't do that[/QUOTE]
i'd like an answer to this :smith:

Just hit B#### in the search, there are only two "known to the game".

just tried that, it also says that in the readme that I missed, but it never takes me to the surface, it just kinda bumpsmy camera along
:q:
Damn, i'll be downloading this soon.
The binary star system Menkent has three 'life' bearing moons, one orbiting Menkent 8, two orbiting Menkent 9
Make sure to have procedural planets around catalogue Stars enabled.
I would love something like this to be in a dawn of war game, exterminatus would be so fun!
Funny, Earth is not labelled "Comfort Terra with Life" it is just "Comfort Terra"
God damn this game(?) is beautiful.
The procedural stuff really makes it great, no one wants to look at the same piece of rock we've seen in Celestia a hundred times before, it really makes you go out and explore.

Having fleets of millions of ships dropping billions of troops onto land and having total planetary war.
Oh my god.

My Menkent doesn't have any life planets, probably because they are procedurally generated, no one gets the same planets.
[editline]5th April 2011[/editline]
Oh wait, just found them.
Does the game have any music in it? Because with the right selection it could be an awesome experience.
No, it doesn't. But I usually play it with music in the background.
Right now I'm actually playing Space Engine while watching Carl Sagan's Cosmos.

procedural planets on existing stars are always the same with everyone I believe, the texture will be different I think tho.
[editline]4th April 2011[/editline]
Zombii, perhaps you should have put procedural somewhere in the title, that would get peoples attention.
This thing looks so epic..
A few screenshots from this will probably end up as my desktop background.
More than just a few, I added over 40 new wallpapers after one voyage.
Dem planets with Rings :flashfap:
where is this pulsar?
[editline]4th April 2011[/editline]
also this game + listening to jazz = AWESOME
