Well I suppose that isn't good.
How do you turn off the UI for screenshots?

Change your FOV.
Hold Shift + Left Mouse Button and drag up or down.

In 0.95 F11 automatically takes screens without the UI

Found this triple star system, the smaller star at the front orbits the bigger one besides it with an orbital period of 1.2 days.
Is there any way to reduce the constant crashes when going on planet surfaces
That stopped happening for me with this last update, so I'm not sure.
You could take a look on their forums I suppose.
Gonna check this out...NOW!

Everytime I try to fly towards suns it seems that I hit a wall and can't go any further, what's going on?
They're huge, your speed isn't fast enough to really get closer
Scroll wheel up to increase your speed, then hit W

It seems like the controls are messed up. Again almost like I'm hitting an invisible box and can't get closer to them. It only seems to happen on certain suns too. I was able to view the surface of various other giant class planets.
Also, I'm rather disappointed that all the nebula's are the same :(

I get that bug sometimes too, so it's not only you.
Any way to enable proper AA? The "toggle lines antialiasing" in the graphics settings does nothing at all, forcing it via graphics card settings does nothing either and there's still an ungodly amount of jaggies. Here's an example screen.

Those of you who are avid astronomers should know this one :)
Space Engine:

Real world shot:

(Of course you know the image is brightened and altered massively to crab that much detail.)

I don't know why but when I play this game it creeps me out. I think it's just the vastness of space that gets me.
[editline]28th November 2011[/editline]
Also, how do you guys find planets so easily?

Well you have to describe what kind of planet you're looking for, a terrestial, giant, gas, etc?
1. Find a galaxy
2. Find a giant class sun (Interstellar Neighborhood)
3. Fnd a dwarf class sun (preferably yellow or orange)
4. Fy closer in (using G hotkey, and turn on orbits in the F4 menu)
5. Press F2 to list all the planets in that solar system
6. Fly to the nearest terrestial "with life" planet
Of course not all solar systems have liveable planets which all depends on the conditions of the sun and the location of all the planets orbiting around it. Take into consideration that there are an average of 100 million solar systems in a galaxy and 100 billion galaxies in our universe! The result is 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (10x^21 or 1 Sextillion) stars in the universe, any one of which may have planets revolving around it. Got a lot to choose from...good luck!
Also look at this image and absorb its incredible vastness:
[t]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/b/b6/Earth%27s_Location_in_the_Universe_%28JPEG%29.jpg[/t]
(Oh and this engine most certainly does not properly list all the possible galaxies, but maybe provides you with a few hundred choices to choose from).
the galaxy list is atm 10k fixed known galaxies and rest is procedural ...
Two gas giants with multiple moons. Now that's what I call a close orbit.

That must mess with the orbits of each other as well. I'd like to see one of those planets get pulled away and shot into space!
I can't wait for next version ^^ I love this engine so much.
Holy, I didn't think that was possible
I found a sextuple starsystem

Oh never mind.
Try playing this with 256 mb of VRam, 5 fps on planets holla!
This game is still beautiful on an ancient graphics card

Something I found a little while back, I think you can add this to your places file. It has 5 life planets and its a binary with a brown dwarf and a yellow dwarf.

In my opinion, this music really fits.
Might as well post this here.
Tried to make the artist rendering of Kepler-22b into a planet but it wasn't easy for being new to this. Spent a long ass time figuring out the script stuff and still I couldn't get what I was going for, especially in terms of the temperature.
But anyways heres what I got

I love how the game specifies ice worlds being "cold" and "frozen". It makes me hope one day I'll find one that's somehow hot.

I forgot how cool this was. I just wish it could be turned into an actual game. It'd make the THE perfect engine for a space exploration game.
Also, my friend made a video and it is awesome.
