Very awesome.
The UI is getting an update as well. Yeah, I saw the changelist but I have not seen those pictures yet. He doesn't have a release date yet, but I'm guessing before the end of august to early September.
How do I go about acquiring this? Every time I go to their website it becomes blocked due to malicious items on the site or I just can't connect..

Fuck yes.
Terrain is looking as good as the Terragen program now, and that program used to take upwards of 45 seconds to render a single image, given the quality settings This is starting to turn into a really badass version of Noctis, hooray [editline]20th June 2012[/editline]
I love Space Engine, can't wait for spaceships
Made a shit video with the same idea way back This as well. These were way back though, a few versions
Fuck yes.
Fuck yes indeed. I'll be losing days just exploring the procedural galaxies/universe structure. Edit: Speaking of videos, I've made two slow and shitty ones myself. First one: Second one:

New planet type, "Titans". http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/21-589-6
- New class of a planet - Titan (ice world with a hydracarbon ocean) - Fully cloudy planets - Venus like warm deserts and Titans A bunch of screenshots. Note darkness - titans are cold worlds, far away from their sun. Titan with green atomsphere reminds me of milltary camo for some reason
These were pictures posted on the Russian SpaceEngine forums that were forgotten by the dev. They're over 2 months old so it may have been improved since then, bear in mind that it's WIP. http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/21-589-6 Also, the original post on this thread needs a bit of an update.
I've been working on it for a while. The problem is SE is extremely volatile on my computer, which makes it hard to get good screenshots, if anyone could provide some good ones for the new OP, I'd be delighted to add them. [editline]26th June 2012[/editline] changed the OP around a little bit
Here's every picture I've taken that I've deemed as "ok". 0.94 0.95 .gifs (about 100mb worth)

Darn I was going to post that video. Oh well.
I wish this would go open source.
Oh my god. Oh my god. Oh my god. 0.96 is released. Holy fuck. http://en.spaceengine.org/forum/20-704-1
Holy crap I was just looking this morning in hopes that it had been released already and here it is :D
[del]I'm not getting anything from the torrent, seems like no-one seeding.[/del] Now I do. 2.4 mb/s, I suggest using the torrent.
Might as well use Deposit Files in my case since my ISP blocks my torrents from going any higher than 80KB/s between 12:00 GMT and 02:00GMT
Might as well use Deposit Files in my case since my ISP blocks my torrents from going any higher than 80KB/s between 12:00 GMT and 02:00GMT
That's a terrible ISP. :/ Then again, mine caps my upload speed for torrents to like 5kb/s on busy days. Edit: Hey guys, check out the new star generation system. [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32146097/scr00000.png[/thumb] Oh, did I say stars? I meant GALAXIES. Edit 2: [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32146097/scr00001 (2).png[/thumb] Edge of the god damn universe. Edit 3: New planet renderer: [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32146097/scr00004.png[/thumb] EROSION: [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32146097/scr00005%20%282%29.png[/thumb]

Desert dunes: [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32146097/scr00006.png[/thumb] "Scorched Selena" [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32146097/scr00007%20%282%29.png[/thumb] I'm really excited if you can't tell. This update helped performance, added a metric fuckton of more features and it looks better.
Holy fucking goddamn shit. So exciting!
Rendered galaxies are really pretty now: [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32146097/scr00003.png[/thumb] Edit: Oceanias are no longer cloudianas! [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32146097/scr00008.png[/thumb] Edit 2: Have you guys tried the editor? You can change what a planet is like in real time! :D Edit 3: The Flat Earth Society would love this: [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32146097/scr00009.png[/thumb] Edit 4: Wish a had enough time to show this in motion:v:: [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32146097/scr00010.png[/thumb] [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32146097/scr00011.png[/thumb]
I found a hot ice giant how does that even work :v:
I found a hot ice giant how does that even work :v:
The atmospheric pressure might be compressing the water into ice, even though it's hot.
OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD! Funny thing is this morning I played 0.95 first time in like half a year.
Edit 4: Wish a had enough time to show this in motion:v:: [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32146097/scr00010.png[/thumb] [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32146097/scr00011.png[/thumb]
What the, pic from the surface please. :tinfoil:
