Fucks sake, I try and fly anywhere, it crashes like a motherfucker. Not to mention, with this procedural shit, trying to land on a planet is giving me 0.56 FPS and constant generation of shit.
Must be a bug.
You know its got a huge scale when a small bug accidentally wipes out an entire galaxy.
Found a nice planet with life drifting apart from the galaxy next to a couple of white dwarf stars.

How can you tell if a planet has life on it or not?
[editline]5th April 2011[/editline]
Oh, it says 'WITH LIFE' I knew that
Hey guys, I have to take the mirror down, as my Dropbox just got suspended for 3 days for "generating excessive traffic" for the mirror. In the meantime I'll upload it to filesmelt.
I'll love you forever if that gets up soon.
This will be my last image dump for a while, this thing is just too fun to mess around with, I have to stop myself

Five minutes MS paint! Huzzah!
Mt textures are showing up fuzzy and my star bloom is fucking messed all to hell. Any good graphic tweaks? I run 60 fps at max settings and all bodies, stars, galaxies, nebulas turned on, so I am not sure what the issue is. The textures do look fine at a distance.
Whichever planet I visit, I never see any actual terrain deformation (aka mountains and shit)
Any command or something to fix that?
Then again it may just be the planets I've visited.

A Life bearing moon around a procedural gas giant and star. it looks like it has a thick Atmosphere. About Half the gravity of earth.
Also a lot of the gas giants look the same.
Certain earth like planets make me wish that earth had rings. That would be sweet

To give you all an idea of just the sheer size of the Space Engine hear is a demonstration, I damn near shit myself.
Oh cool that galaxy looks cool, but maybe I should go to a smaller Globular first it doesn't look to big:

Ok we have a couple of what appear to be a couper of stars nothing to big,

So I randomly click within the Globular, and...Oh shit! Computer Fucking OVERLOAD!

For god sakes people more content. Also don't think I don't see you lurkers down there. We need more discussion.
I wonder if the creator of this is thinking of doing anything with it (game-wise). Since this is pretty much the infinity engine but without a game/less detailed planets.
Also, to everyone who was saying that the infinity engine was impossible, because it wouldn't be able to simulate an entire galaxy. Look at this! It's doing MULTIPLE galaxies.

There needs to be a :sagan: emote.
how do i find Eta Carinae, i tried every single name for it and it couldn't find it.
Try e Carinae
Looks awesome.
I don't like the way the sun flares look, need some sexy dynamic flares
I never get to see the surface of planets - they have textures, but no deformation on them. Do I need to enable something? Also, when I get close, the generation of textures causes my computer to slow down the FPS hard.
Also, flying manually from one galaxy to another, fly into the other galaxy, stop still, wonder why all the stars are still moving around you so fast.
Then realise that you're watching the galaxy turning.
:byodood:
This program kinda reminds me of this: http://www.worldwidetelescope.org/Home.aspx
Except this is 3d and you can actually fly around rather then having your view point set to Earth at all times.
Keep getting the "error loading surface generator shaders" error.
When it asks me to turn off procedural planets and I click yes, all the planets are just white spheres;
If I click no, it doesn't run :sigh:
