Put the Caldari Leviathan in orbit around Ceres and then flew the Normandy SR2 up to it to see if I could get 2 ships in orbit with one next to the other. Did pretty well I think but will be much easier when we get a MFD.
Red Giants are bumpy? I read a lot of Science Textbooks and watch science related shows and never once did they mention that huge stars look like this.
I guess it's more recent knowledge then. It's not very easy to know how a stars surface looks, especially not when they're that far away.
Am I the only one who can't even navigate in this game? All the controls seems to be backwards, or I'm doing something wrong.
Is there some sort of CTRL-F function to this game so I can find Brown Dwarfs and Black Holes and such that aren't on the F6 list?

I hate my computer. I have tried almost everything now but still my game crashes randomly at every planet and star i visit. even planets at the local star system crash the game for me...
I can 85% guarantee that you don't have enough RAM/don't have the Large Address Aware program applied.
No, it's gotta be something more. I'm having the same issue and I've got 8 gigs of RAM, and used the LAA program. I get well over 100FPS just running around the sandbox, but if I approach any planet the game craps out.
I wish this didn't crash. I went flying through random galaxies with adjusted exposure settings and found a black hole that had 2 stars in such close orbit the star shine was cause the black hole to permanently glow. Took this screen and then it crashed before I could save the location. [thumb]http://niggaupload.com/images/a0P3.jpg[/thumb]
I wish you could name planets and stuff.
Took a crack at making the Planets in TES: And a shot from Nirn:
My computer doesn't like it when I export the planets at 16384x8192
I can 85% guarantee that you don't have enough RAM/don't have the Large Address Aware program applied.
I have 4 gigabytes of ram and 1256mb on my gpu. and i applied the large address aware but it did nothing.
[thumb]http://niggaupload.com/images/4EuQ6.jpg[/thumb] Not finished with textures or anything but this is just a teaser of the star trek ship pack. Should be out soon once all the models are converted.
So I was funking around with the editor and somehow I made planets invisible. Any help?
I'm afraid you must raise the spirit of James Brown.
My computer doesn't like it when I export the planets at 16384x8192
Mine decides to crap out whenever I do anything above 2500 for planets, or 3800 for skyboxes. Maybe it's because I'm using a laptop.
I tried to render as much as the universe as I possibly could: I think I reached a generator limit or something, it crashed like 5 seconds after the picture. At least I can use bragging rights by saying "I rendered the Universe!" now.

I wanna fly the normandy around fucking shit up.
Christ, I never realized how many galaxies there were in the Universe. I always thought it may have been just 50 or something but holy shit we have a lot of exploring to do. [editline]13th July 2012[/editline]
Actual gameplay cannot come fast enough. LOL 50??!! Try 50 billion, and thats just the %1 of observed universe. Start on a planet, build entire cities and nations, expand to space. Control fleets or individual space craft. Commanding a fleet from a huge ass capital ship you built from your own city HNNNNNNNNGGG
Am I the only one who crashes every 5 minutes?
Would any of you mind if I posted a 28mb panorama or is that just too god damn big? Well here it is anyways: [thumb]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32146097/ALLLLAAADEMMMGALUXESSS.png[/thumb] 2048x8192
Shores of Hazeron but not retardedly laggy. Yes.
Throw in game mechanics from Garry's mod and Universe Sandbox and you have the ultimate god game. It would be pretty awesome if you could distrupt the orbits of planets like in Universe Sandbox, it would be spectacular to have a ground view of a planet that's being eaten up by a star.
Shores of Hazeron but not retardedly laggy. Yes.
Too bad Shores fell to a totalitarian dev.

Only no physics. :( I hope 0.97 has physics, even if simple.
Shores of Hazeron but not retardedly laggy. Yes.
Well SoH in spirit but more like Sim City ish building of cities. AKA less clunky and annoying. Also don't have a shitty dev. Haxus was seemingly a cool dude but literally out of fucking nowhere he goes "I'M PLAYING THIS GAME FOR MYSELF YOU GUYS CAN FUCK OFF" and destroys his own game's community.
What do Brown Dwarfs look like from a distance? I can only ever find Yellow, Orange or Red ones.
