I drew on a shirt today too actually.

I need to let it dry tho. The shirt is male model, gonna try it and if it doesn't wash out and stuff like that I'm going to get a girly tee and art on it.
I used something special pens that are made for this so it should stay.
Stop calling her by the wrong pronouns please. It just makes you look a jerk.
[editline]27th April 2012[/editline]
Does anyone else who's here have an issue with, whenever you ask a family member to respect your identity and your new name, and then get it wrong, they go "Well this is really hard for me!"
My Mother does this and I almost want to go "OH YES, I HAVE NO IDEA HOW DIFFICULT IT MUST BE FOR YOU TO USE MY CORRECT NAME. A PERSON SUCH AS MYSELF HAS NO DEFINITION OF HARDSHIP TO UNDERTAKE."
She doesn't do it so much anymore but christ it makes me angry sometimes. >.<
Uh maybe because it is a very hard thing to get used to. It just seems like you're being an asshole since in your last sentence she's obviously trying. She's been calling you him/billy/joe/whatever your male name was for I'm gonna guess at least over 14 years, do you understand how hard it is to stop that kind of mental ingraining and then substitute a new name and flawlessly call you it without a single mistake?
Hell, on two occasions in this thread alone yesterday I accidentally gave HorizoN a male pronoun, it's a subconscious thing.
And saying "A person such as myself has no definition of hardship to undertake" is just incredibly low, yes you are a transgender person, you face the same issues as thousands of other transgender persons and probably the vast majority of thousands of homosexual, lesbian and people of other unusual sexual/gender makeups, it's just nasty to use that kind of card on your own mother who loves you. Unless I've jumped the gun and you've legitimately faced some serious tumultuous times, then I apologise.
I ain't trying to stir up shit so take this post with a grain of salt, I just feel that a few people in this thread have failed to realise that there's a point of compromise. Some people in this thread have or may have their parents disown them over having gender dysphoria, so I feel someone actively trying their best for you and failing sometimes is better than that, right?
Face I spose. I remembered my laptop has a webcam and I don't look totally terrible right now. Pht.

It can be hard to see the other perspective sometimes. Being called by my birth name will usually put me in a pretty foul mood, even though I know it wasn't intentional on the other person's part. Part of it comes from the idea that the other person isn't being completely understanding, part of it is the dysphoria it creates and the confidence in yourself that it brings down, and part of it is just a natural defensive reaction.
The majority of my family has disowned me, all I've really got left is my parents, my sister, and my distant uncle and his children. It tends to make me pretty defensive when something comes up that makes me feel as if I'm not being taken seriously, but you are right. People just need to remember that it's hard to get used to when you've known someone for a while, and it isn't a remark toward you, how you look, or how you act.
Am I the only one who isn't bothered by this too much? I absolutely despise my name. I have since I was little. But people have been calling me by that name my whole life. I don't feel bad when they do now, I just feel a lot better when they call me by my preferred name.
Same goes with pronouns. The friends I hung out with that night were being so apologetic after they call me a "he", it was silly. I mean come on, I just literally told them that day. I expect them to forget or make a mistake every now and then. :v:

Imgur makes me sad inside.
Imgur makes me sad inside.
What's wrong with Imgur?
What's wrong with Imgur?
None of the images load on FP, you need to open it and refresh or else you get 403 errors
if you open the link and remove the i. in front of Imgur it should work.
What's wrong with Imgur?
Imgur blocked Facepunch.
Garry must've pissed someone off or something, who knows.

Seriously? How'd you find that out?
Imgur blocked Facepunch.

Dammit, Imgur was the best.

It works, neat.

My avatar is being weird nowds, dsal
Also it only seems to be blocked on Firefox for some reason, imgur still shows up on Chrome.

I'm on Chrome so that's not the case for me.
Weird. Imgur works on Chrome for me, but not on Firefox (which is my main browser, Chrome is basically the backup).
Onyx told me on Firefox if you go to about:config and change network.http.sendRefererHeader to 1 that Imgur pictures will show up.
Works for me. Might want to try it if youre on FF.
I'd say Jerry made someone mad and Imgur blocked all referrers from FP.
My theory is that whatever happened with the site being down for massive lengths of time is related in some way.
Imgur wasn't loading for some reason but it was fixable and worked fine outright for a good deal of people.
Garry's wise solution was to intentionally totally break every imgur link ever posted.
I think it's just getting so much traffic from us that they blocked us? The only place i've seen imgur pay for more bandwidth for is Reddit.
(I swear if this starts a Reddit bitchfit. >:I)
... Phew.
Thanks a lot, it really helped! Actually gave me the courage to go on towards the next step.
It did still feel kinda awkward to browse around and actually buy clothes and other products in the stores. Felt like all eyes were focused on me and that I would bump into someone I knew, around the next corner (glorious paranoia).
Also, does anyone know any great sites within Eu where I could possibly order more unique clothes from?

When Waffleimages went down, Imgur was hailed as the new semi-official Something Awful imagehost. You'd think if they can handle a behemoth like SA they could handle FP... Which is why I'm not sure if it was intentional. Also Garry's wording is unclear if they actually said "Yeah we're blocking you not saying why" or if it was more "I think they're blocking us and they haven't got back to me better purge every reference to them like some kind of Stalin metaphor"

You've got more courage than me then. It took me half a year on HRT before I could even buy a girly shirt. Used to order most of everything online.
I'm glad I helped, though. I don't think it was that bad, but I know the feeling, and to hell with them. :v:
I only have 80 posts in here? D:
I have 234, second to HorizoN who has 527.
What. D:
HorizoN tends to post an absurd amount in any threads they frequent.

I bought a dress in August and nearly chickened out after 45 minutes of basically doing laps around the store.

Most of HorizoN's are -snip-
Fuck, the support group I was looking forward too was canceled. God damnit, this is the second month in a row that I missed it for some reason.
Good news though, my mom took me to the mall to get some cloths, I got a skirt and two shirts. Will post soon.
Been thinking about stuff lately. Gone through much. Long story short: Took meds+alcohol, self-harmed while "high", called myself an ambulance. Haven't been in school for over a week. Been just drinking and having fun to ignore the hard facts. I'm never going to be a real girl.
I'm going to go with being a androgynous person.
