Crossdressing/Transgender Megathread v. There is an unicorn under my dress.
Well, hello there. Been lurking this thread for some time and to be honest, just really want to vent some frustation.
When I was 12 I started to crossdress, out of curiosity but that grew up to a desire to be a woman, other part of me kept saying it was wrong but at the same time I enjoyed it, it continued and I started to repress it, do it more rarely but I kept using fapping as an excuse to satisfy that desire. I've always felt bad afterwards, thinking it was wrong, but at the same time enjoying the moment. I'd have some crazy occasiations were I would just want to become a girl right at that moment, imagine how it would be and so on, but with that came insecurity of what my future would look like.
I've been living for 18 years as a man and for the most part of it, it sucked. I haven't been on any serious relationship, part of me just thinks that maybe I'm just doing it wrong and that I'm going to eventually fit in but the other part of me just questions if I'm actually a man to begin with. I don't want to be that guy who gets a nice job, a wife and two kids only to find out the he wasted 20 years of his life being someone he wasn't but I don't want to at the same time take some drastic decision that will accompany me for life.
Hey, I'll make the same offer as Inufin, if you'd like someone to talk to, I've been told that I'm a good listener. c:

So it's my birthday today and I acquired a sum of money. I think I shall go buy clothes! By the way, does anyone know any nice androgynous haircuts?

Depending on your facial shape, a bobcut could work.

So now I really will be using the birth control. Just until August, when I can get my legitimate hormones. It's not much, but it's better than nothing.

What benefit does taking birth control pills give you?
birth control pills have some female hormones in them i think.
They can also be dangerous
Hey everyone,
I am going to the therapist next Friday (the 25th), and incase the therapist says no, I want to bring up the opinions from some of you, the reason of which is because, most of you from what I read, such as Sasha and my other friend, are Trans and would possibly know what signs it would show in a person. They (Sasha and my other friend) told me that I might have the condition, so that gave me the idea. I think it would really help my case if you could give your opinions on this, since you have GID and the therapist doesn't.
Edit
Oh and I will have to contact you through steam to give you some background stuff.
I know I said that the other time was going to be the last, but eh, might aswell, since I am going to another therapist tomorrow aswell.
For the love of everlasting CHRIST don't do that Riodoku. There's miniscule amounts of the hormones you need for feminisation in birth control pills all with the added benefit of potential death if you have complications, which is entirely possible if you have not consulted with a doctor about this. Which is the entire point it's a prescription basis thing.

I'm dead serious you can have strokes, blood clots & heart attacks from meddling with pills.

Generally being uncomfortable in male/female clothing. Preferring to fit in to female gender roles, straight up feeling more like a female. Depression as a result from these feelings, etc.
Basically agendered behaviour and desire to dress/act like the opposite gender. I dunno, there isn't really a concrete thing.

You shouldn't do that. It's your decision, but that is really dangerous.
Haha! I did something similar a little while ago when my friend stopped using the pill (changed to implant). I was curious about what it could do to me, took a few, nothing really happened then I pussied out and never touched them again.
Alsoooo

The amount of estrogen in birth control pills is so low it won't produce any noticeable effects.
In fact, your body may even produce more testosterone to compensate for the slightly higher levels of E.
Contrary to what every one else is saying, you most likely won't die nor have serious complications from short term use though.
WOOHOO

Okay, there's my answer. The amount of hormone and anti-an is really too small to give anyone those large-scale complications. This is what I figured, but is male development sped up with the extra testosterone? If not, then I'll probably just take them as a placebo.
I'm trying to find ways to make my wait a little less burdensome. Thoughts of suicide have passed my mind too many times lately.
If you really want to you can take birth control pills but there are still health risks for little to no result, so you're probably better taking vitamin tablets as placebos or something.
Self meddling in general seems to be incredibly risky if you don't know what's up (from what I've read), it's taken way too casually, especially since this stuff changes your body in general (why doctors take lots of info before prescribing for you personally)

Of course. But your options and thought process change when you find that the mountain you just scaled has Mt. Everest erecting from its peak. Self-medding is dangerous, but that may end up being my only option. Death within five years is better than suicide.
I most likely won't take them for fear of what it could change in my initial blood test for hormones. But I've got to do something to numb my mind to my problem for a little while.

In that case, do something dietry. I hear that Red meat and Milk increade testosterone, so just cut out that meat like I've started doing (no more bacon D:) and replace dairy with soya or something. Just pretend you are lactose intolerant or something.
Might not do anything, but the thought that it COULD work keeps me happy.
Also, tomorrow at 8 i FINALLY get to meet my new GP. Hoping it all goes well.

daedalus has a heart after all
My mother or someone told me when I was put on birth control what they do is level out/change the hormones and obviously do other things to the female body to avoid falling pregnant. Pretty sure if you don't have the hormones already or a body that can fall pregnant they won't help you due to the amounts of hormones in them being pretty damn small.
