Ever since I came out, I keep thinking back at things in my past that make so much sense now I know what was wrong, whereas before they didn't really have a reason/make sense :P
Huh. I do that aswell.
Suddenly things in my mind makes sense. Quite an unusual feeling.
just go buy something you like and wear it
Well, the only reason I haven't tried doing that is I'm in college and I /really/ don't want anyone to find out about that kind of stuff (aside from being gay).
Any tips on good ways to hide and bluff (in case things go horribly wrong)?

Just be careful, find a spot where you know no one will look and hide your stuff there. :v:
I tend to say I'm working in a theather and we need female clothes in my size for the act we're currently working on.

Those are kinda obvious, but thanks anyways.
Hmm...I think I might start with something gender ambiguous like armwarmers until I feel comfortable (plus, it is easy to explain armwarmers since it is 'tendy')...and slim up (plus it will help my back if I do so, double plus good).
My mind: "I guess some day's going to be the first."
Hello.
Is there anyone else here who is trans* and couldn't figure it out until quite lately? I've been dysphoric and had the feeling that I would have preferred to be a woman as far back as I can remember, yet I couldn't connect the dots enough for my brain to go "Wait a minute... Bloody hell, I'm transgendered!" until around December.
If by "lately" you mean late in life, sure.
I figured it out at 17-18, but never did anything because I was a paranoid git. I was severly depressed and was going to two therapists (forced to) for not having any friends and never going out, and I wouldn't even tell them that I was gay or trans, or even depressed because I was an idiot. The only thing they could think of was my diabetes, but honestly it doesn't bother me, but they insisted that it does. :U
After coming to the US, I went to my current therapist who specializes in gender, and she helped me with a lot of things, and I started HRT a little after my 21st birthday. And I regret that I never did anything about it before because I could be pretty far into it by now.
w8 zeldy, you're on HRT as we're speaking? How long have you been doing it?

Started in late October, so almost 8 months now!
wow nice! Is there anyway to see how you've progressed during the 8 months? If you want to show it ofc. (:
Pretty much came out to my uncle as "gender-confused", though hating being male.
Thankfully, he understands my situation, and is going to help me out a bit tomorrow.
Also he's gay and obviously supports LBGTQ stuff.
My other uncle is bi.
...dear lord my family is pretty gay.

Not a very big change, really, I just gotta work on myself. Most changes things I notice only, sensitive skin, breasts, little bit finer body hair, etc.
Ok, so certain issues arised and I ended up telling my mum I cross-dress.
Took it surprisingly well I think.

omg it was amazing and an hour and a half later my ears are still ringing

Zeldy I'm jealous of your seemingly perfect hair.

Perfect? It's a hassle some times. Frizz everywhere the moment I step out of my apartment, always gets in my face, takes a long time to dry after a shower, too wavy/curly for my liking if I don't flatiron it, etc.
[editline]13th June 2012[/editline]
I'm glad you like it, though. I'm finally happy with it, even if it is a hassle. :v:
Well I hate my hair, it's terrible. I'll probably just end up cutting it again because it only grows so far before it stops, then all it does is curl outward and make me look like a clown.

Meh, it's not like I look any good with hair anyway.

Yay, I actually got an endocrinologist appointment even though it's apparently just about them explaining things about hormones to me that I already know, but hey, progress!

Umm.... ok?
Did you stumble into the wrong thread or something...?
[editline]dfasg[/editline]
Oh wait I just remembered the title says "There's a unicorn under my dress." Lol.
I'll have you know Brawny is one of the strongest paper towels ever! Fuck you!
Hey shitstopper, you got your name wrong.
Sorry. Foul mood tonight.
But seriously, this isn't the pony thread.
Some of us may like them, but we don't post them.
Also "Crossdressing and transgender megathread V. people assume unicorn = ponies edition"
So I'm StopShitter?
Too be honest, I'm kinda surprised we didn't catch a brony until page 167.
