Hair question, this might be the place to ask, since I don't know anything about hair care that doesn't include water and shampoo.
My hair is pretty straight until right at the bottom where it suddenly and sharply curls outward, and it looks ridiculous. I can't find a picture of what I'm talking about, so pretend this is an example: J
Are there any very cheap ways to straighten these types of curls? The only thing I can find seem to require going to a salon and paying $300 (at least) for a temporary (several month) fix, or 1.5k for a 'permanent' fix.
Alternatively, if I cut the hair off just at the curl and wait for it to grow back, will it curl again? It's really starting to annoy me and I'm starting to consider just cutting all my hair off. I kinda wanted longish hair but this isn't working, instead it's driving me nuts.

How long is your hair? Is it just shoulder length, to where the bottoms of the curls are essentially resting on your shoulders?

Have you tried one of these?
How long is your hair? Is it just shoulder length, to where the bottoms of the curls are essentially resting on your shoulders?
Nah, it's about halfway down my head. I'd say around the upper jaw area (side) and base of the neck (back) at the longest, but due to the curling at the edge it's about halfway down my face (side) and halfway down my neck (back).
So far I haven't tried anything (because I don't know anything) other than shampoo and conditioner, which (though makes it feel nice while it's wet) doesn't fix it.
I don't have an exact example of how it looks, so just imagine this, only half the length and none of the appeal (also on a man-face).
Straightening iron would sound like a cheap and simple solution then.

Aww man I love it when my hair does that.

Considered it, but (at the risk of sounding like a moron) I'm not sure how to use it.

Mine kind of does it naturally so it would still suck for you. Sorry :v:
Considered it, but (at the risk of sounding like a moron) I'm not sure how to use it.
It's rather simple. There should be instructions included, but what mostly you should know is that don't use it with wet hair (unless you it says in the instructions that it is fine). And um, turn it on and it heats up and put your hair in between the clams and slowly move it towards the end of your hair and repeat till is is straight. If you aren't sure you should just find a video on youtube. It is really easy once you understand how it works. :)

You're wording made it seem less common, oh well :v:
Mine does it all the time, like as soon as it goes from soaked to wet, it starts to curl, by the time it's damp, it's already in full swing.

Well that actually went well for a first attempt, I think. I only burned my finger 4 times and I think I'm getting a blister on the side of my face, but it could be worse :v:
I've also learned that my right side is slightly longer and thicker than my left, and likes to curve outward while the left curves inward, also the right side is starting to curl back again. Always troublesome this hair, maybe if I keep doing that it'll work.

Thought of the perfect way to reveal to my parents that I'm transgendered, but it's perhaps massively unfeasable.
