Can someone here please explain the concept of genderqueer/androgynous to me, its been bugging me for days now and I can't seem to find any answers I like on google.
Genderqueer is an umbrella term for a variety of gender identities. Bigender - Person who follows gender identities for both males and females (or belief they are both genders) Agender - Follow neither gender roles or believe they aren't either gender Genderfluid - Switch between different gender roles (i.e. a man may feel like a girl some days and a man on others, and may accommodate for the gender roles) Third Gender - Belief that they are neither gender (like Agender) but instead are some third, unknown gender Overlap (my own term) - They are a mix of both gender roles. Androgynous is not a gender identity, it just means that a person is naturally born with physical characteristics that don't make them look like a male or female.

Guess I'm Agendered them.
Wait so gender is pretty much defined by roles? Guess I'm Agendered them.
Gender can be whatever you want it to be. But for the most part, yeah, gender is defined by social norms and roles.
Gender can be whatever you want it to be. But for the most part, yeah, gender is defined by social norms and roles.
It was mostly because I read some stuff about people of one sex getting a sex change during childhood due to genitalia being destroyed in surgery, yet still feeling the urge to be their original gender once they grew up, which I found kind of confusing considering I've never really seen gender as anything beyond roles and expectations, not something that is genetically programmed into someone so I find the concept a bit confusing.
Honestly, I forgo all that and just go with the concreteness of genetics...
Gender can be whatever you want it to be. Sex is biological, gender is social.
Gender is just roles and expectations. There may be genetic dispositions for gender, but I'm no doctor.

Called trans-policlinic and I found out I have a time in about one month (18.8). This is good because the estimated time was 14.9.
what does that mean
Hello, everyone. I just finished going through the past 100 pages or so and can safely say you are all awesome people. I just fully realized I wanted to be a girl maybe two weeks ago. I'd been curious about it ever since I knew being trans was actually a thing (which you can blame/praise TV Tropes for), but despite my girly behavior never really thought about it much for the next few years. However, recent events involving sort of playing the "girlfriend" role made me realize I was a bit more comfortable as a girl. Problem is, my situation isn't really optimal. My boyfriend is in Canada, which is apparently great for transitioning, but I'd need to go through two more years of high school before turning 18 and being able to head up there (not that either of us are ready financially for anything). I'm not in a big hurry to get this done, but it will certainly be a long wait. Since this is all fairly new, I really haven't done anything about it yet. No clothes or anything. ...That's all I can think of right now. Ask away? [sp]Why yes this is a shitty alt[/sp]
oh also i have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow so i can ask her what i can do about these cramps :D
If you didn't already know drinking a lot of water can apparently help with them Also just randomly remembered when one of my trans friends felt down so I hugged them like IT'S OKAY YOU BRAVE, BRAVE CHILD. JUST SOLDIER ON, YOU LITTLE TROOPER and it actually made them feel better :'D

You know what kinda annoys me? When I'm not allowed to post anything rude I'm interested in on my own NSFW twitter account. I only posted ONE image, which was a crossdresser, mind you; http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m48fo5mFIH1r8ihoao1_500.jpg And the replies I get are.. well.. (fyi @nekomiscarlett is my NSFW twitter) (after I even explained that the trap in the tumblr link above was wearing a stuffed bra) If they're so bothered about wanting to see girly guys crossdressing who look like guys, How about I post some goddamn lesbians instead?
personally i'm a bit bothered as to why people do this sort of stuff [crossdressing with barely anything/trapping]
personally i'm a bit bothered as to why people do this sort of stuff [crossdressing with barely anything/trapping]
I'm not 100% sure what you are bothered about but those people are called transvestites. Transvestites get sexually aroused by wearing clothing that is generally worn by the opposite gender, it's more of a sexual fetish than it is an identity issue. [editline]f[/editline] Don't hate on me if I'm wrong, I'm not an expert on the subject.
what does that mean
At trans-policlinic I get to see the doctor who is specialized to this and as in one month is my first visit that starts the "timer" for the 6month wait for hormones. So if everything goes as planned I get my HRT in 7 months.
why?
Don't bother answering him, Cotroxy. He and the other CDers will just rate you dumb, think you're a crybaby and act like they fully understand transsexuals (when they don't). Happened to me already. [editline]fkhdg[/editline] See? [editline]fkhdg[/editline] And then its like clockwork. Luafox gets offended/finds you stupid so he complains to Cheeseman and Nintendo-Guy over Steam to help him rate you dumb and fight you. It's a circlejerk of ignorance.
