I've been wondering what the bast way to tell my family that I'm trans.
Right now I'm honestly considering walking into a room, saying "I WANT TITS FOR CHRISTMAS" and then leaving. I'm not good at words.
You can always try e-mail/Facebook if you're bad at confrontation.

But then you might have a hooker under the tree when you wake up on Christmas day.

I plan to just tell everything to my family when they all gather up for Christmas, that way I'm hoping that at least someone will be on my side if things get bad.

Do you mean on christmas day? or just around that time? I obviously don't know your family so cannot judge, but I'd be worried I'd ruin the mood on christmas day if I told them and they took it badly :/

Around the time, god no I don't hate my family or anything to do something like that.
I found some people using the word hir as a combination of him and her.
I thought it sounded cute.
How is it pronounced?
How is it pronounced?
"Here" maybe? Like Mjollnir
so
exactly like 'her'
Sounds to me that it should be pronounced more like 'here' than 'her'.
I think the zir/hir thing is abit silly but i can see why people would want to use it.
During the spring it has been huge debates about the Swedish equivalent: Hen. It's pretty funny how I've never heard of a single opposing argument which wasn't rooted in a fiercly binarist view of gender.
Hopefully people can see now why I see sex and gender as purely genetic, and use only prefered pronouns (even when refering to myself) as a matter of respect.

Doesn't that go for everything sexuality or gender related?
Doesn't that go for everything sexuality or gender related?
That is of course true.
Hopefully people can see now why I see sex and gender as purely genetic, and use only prefered pronouns (even when refering to myself) as a matter of respect.
But it (sex) isn't straight up genetic??
Biological determinism (basically the idea that you are what your DNA says) is not an accurate view of humanity. In fact "Biologists sometimes regard a charge of biological determinism as a straw man, as there is currently no support for strict biological determinism in the field of genetics or development, and virtually no support among geneticists for the strong thesis of biological determinism. " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biological_determinism

"If I were to take a DNA swab of a transgender woman, what sex would the DNA results tell me she was? " It wouldn't. It tells you absolutely nothing. Phenotype is what is used in the determination of sex in human beings, and that includes everything from genitalia to endocrine system -- and even neurology. We're all real.
Sex is a whole combination of things, it's not really as easy as just placing one thing as the determinate of your sex.

hi, I never post here, but i figure you guys are the ones to ask: does anyone know a good place to get striped thigh high socks in a "low profile" manner?
I need them for purely scientific reasons, such as gay sex, I assure you.
Sockdreams socks arrive in discreet packaging if you ask them to on your little note when you order.
I just realized that my backpack says "trans" on is in big bold letters.
How fitting.

Before you come out, say "First of all, I think hitler was right"
It will soften the blow for anything you say next.

Oh god. I walk into collej today and saw a friend. I had my hair back, like a ponytail would be just without the tied up part. H First thing he says to me "Get a haircut, you look like a girl." I just love how his insult turns into a compliment without him knowing.
