Supergirl and The Stache Coming soon
well at least they won't bump into eachother and get married later in life. So there's something to avoid.
can someone explain cisgender to me someone was trying to tell me about it and linked the wiki page but it just looks like what a regular person would be? genetically male and feels male mentally, I don't understand why they need to be labeled
can someone explain cisgender to me someone was trying to tell me about it and linked the wiki page but it just looks like what a regular person would be? genetically male and feels male mentally, I don't understand why they need to be labeled
That's what cisgender is. "Normal".
then why does it even need a label I fail to understand I always hear some transpeople saying "cisgender scum" it's stupid
Referring to them as normal implies that trans people aren't normal because they're transgender. I think that'd be why they label them as cisgender rather than saying they're normal.
then why does it even need a label I fail to understand I always hear some transpeople saying "cisgender scum" it's stupid
It's not a label as much as a description. On the issue of gender they are "Cisgender". It's not like that's their identity or all that they are, it's just how to describe that part of them.
then why does it even need a label I fail to understand I always hear some transpeople saying "cisgender scum" it's stupid
Because people like labels.
Referring to them as normal implies that trans people aren't normal because they're transgender. I think that'd be why they label them as cisgender rather than saying they're normal.
This, fucking this.
then why does it even need a label I fail to understand I always hear some transpeople saying "cisgender scum" it's stupid
that's just /v/ being total fucking retards. I don't know of a single transperson of ever saying that. Plus, why would you? it degrades the entire community and makes you look like a fucking idiot.
You mean, prickly after shaving (A day or so) or right after? If it's right after you used and electric razor and you should feel bad. If you used a decent razor it should be smooth as fuck and you should orgasm every time your legs touch cloth.
im a boy who's never shaved before I'm a fucking terrible shaver sue me [editline]5th September 2012[/editline] also trans isn't "normal" because it's not the majority or usual. If that's what you mean. by "normal" I mean "usually happens"/etc
Well, for something to be 'normal', it conforms to the usual state of affairs for the thing in question. As such, anything that is a fairly large minority is technically not 'normal'. It's essentially a synonym for 'ordinary' or 'common'. Another meaning of 'normal' is actually for a person without any physical or mental disorders, so take that how you will. I'm aware that GID is pretty much only classed as a disorder so that it can be treated as one rather than being something else that could potentially require a lot more money to get related treatment (hormones, SRS and so on). At least, I think it's something like that. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Why obsess over being normal? That's like someone obsessing over perfection. There is no way for anyone to actually be normal, or perfect. It just isn't human nature. Normal is what you feel is the average of your day to day life. As for me, it's normal to be panicky, depressed, and have all sorts of other issues. That isn't what society views as normal, even then you have to define which society you wish to be normal to. Here's my pro-tip for life, do what you want because if ya don't, things wont be so nice.
also trans isn't "normal" because it's not the majority or usual. "Normal" is a vague and dumb word, but people know what I mean when I say "Normal"
Normal is an incredibly stupid fucking concept and it has no place in modern society. Normal implies that there's a base type of person and there really fucking isn't. Urgh.
Only if you misunderstand what 'normal' means. You can't argue that there isn't a model of a 'typical' person based on what the majority is. It doesn't imply any bad things about belonging to a minority, it's a simply a term to describe what is usually the case with people in general.

The typical person in america is a 30-50 year old White Middle Class Christian but do you really think that's the typical person in Europe?
No of course not, and I never stated that that was the case. However, while some aspects of a typical person change based on where you are in the world, others vary a lot less. I am fairly certain that it is almost always the case that the majority of people in every country are cisgender, and therefore that is what can be considered to be a 'typical' or 'normal' person.
wow.
They have a point you know
For some reason, I find the word "normal" to define something rather boring/uninteresting, if I am to apply it on someones personality or behaviour. Which I often tend to use as a word when people do not share my commitment in doing something spontaneous, new or odd).
I've often stated "I dislike this person for being too normal" lol one of the clans I play BF3 with I find weird because they're so "normal" :V Like they're RL Ned Flanders'. You could run a fine tooth comb over their entire life and their mother wouldnt gasp at anything lol
I remember a little while ago, my gran was talking to me about how my sister and her friends all buy the same clothes and she said to me "well, they all just want to fit in with the crowd, everyone wants to be normal" She didn't mean it in a mean or sarcastic way and it just made me think. Ok, maybe I wouldn't have chosen to be trans, but I certainly wouldn't choose to be boring and just like everyone else. I've spent my own life trying to be different, so no gran... not EVERYONE wants to be normal and like everyone else... whether they're given the choice or not :P
