I've had girls put make up on me a few times. It's great. aha.. but yeah you gotta be conscious of it. Ahhhh I wanna paint my nails.
...you're really straw manning the fuck out of this then trying to remain the peacekeeper? I mean come on, saying "ew look a tranny" is totally and completely biased to make you look good, however it shows the flaws in your argument as noone had brought that up previous to this.
I find "tranny" to be refer to a transvestite as opposed to transgender, and I treat them as two different things so yeah just my 2 cents [editline]21st September 2012[/editline]
I've had girls put make up on me a few times. ahahahaha this is the best thread ever
This better be 3 pages of arguing about socks I am about to read.
This better be 3 pages of arguing about socks I am about to read.
From what I can see it's political correctness I just skipped it as usual [editline]21st September 2012[/editline] Somebody said "a transgender", somebody else corrected them, saying it's just transgender, begin 3 page argument about words You people need to calm your shit
Please refer to: Also people have a right to dislike something, not sure where you get that they don't. Nobody said that Xero calling themselves that was meant to be rude or inconsiderate but that the wording itself can convey some negative connotations against transpeople as a whole. Why is it bad to have pointed that out?
It's bad to have pointed it out because instead of talking about crossdressing and being transgendered the thread turns into a grammatical shit fest about someone else's semantics. Does pointing out the grammatical errors in Xero's post contribute to the quality of the thread or does it provoke a worthwhile discussion? Absolutely not. Correcting someones post simply because it "irks" you is a cheap way of saying you're offended, which is a personal problem that no one should care about except themselves. Also, I miss-worded that phrase. People don't have the right to not be offended because that implies that others should watch what they say and do as to not step on someone else's "feelings".
Because when people outside of trans understanding say "a transgender" it's usually meant in a derogatory and dehumanizing way. Reinforcing that usage isn't really a good thing, in my opinion.
Funny thing about this thread is that most posters are within "trans understanding" and should care less about how someone labels themselves. For a Transgendered community you all get seriously butt-hurt over a few words that you all are using to describe yourselves regularly.
fuck it, I'm buying the socks
oh my god shut up you should all be like me and not give a fuck about what prefix people use to describe you and be fine with it you're the one that decides, not them.
This is ridiculous.
I was asleep for 9 hours and this happens? GG guys. Also we're starting to slowly inch towards 10k posts. Who's making the next thread?
I was asleep for 9 hours and this happens? GG guys. Also we're starting to slowly inch towards 10k posts. Who's making the next thread?
Whoever decides to make it first. OP doesn't mean anything since it's probably just going to be copypasted from the last one
God some of the people in this thread are fucking scum. Sometimes the presence of the fucking letter "A" is secondary to being a human being and giving support so someone who's about to come out as transgender. Which, might I add, none of the people "championing" transgender rights by targeting vulnerable peoples' grammatical mistakes ever did.
Uh, none of this was about grammar, and it wasn't even a "shitstorm". Me and the other guy were just talking about an issue, and it had nothing to do with Xero's grammar. Talking about trans issues in the trans thread should not be disallowed and I don't see how so many of you think it's still about grammar, or meant to condescend the way Xero identifies themself.
Fucking hell it's Friday already.

Seriously no one was fucking hurt, no one was crying, no one was freaking out. Rio was pointing something out and everyone decides to jump down her throat about it being her problem with Xero's grammar.(When, if you read her posts, it wasn't even about that) God forbid Rio points out something that can adversely affect people LIKE MOST OF YOU and she's just "being too politically correct!!" And its not even like what she pointed out was the biggest fucking trans related civil rights issue in the world, its just something very small that contibutes to an overall bigger problem. A problem that, again, adversely affects a LOT of you.
Why not just keep quiet and post stockings?
Why not just keep quiet and post stockings?
[t]http://puu.sh/XZAL[/t] i already posted these i think but w/e
Off topic (Personally I mostly mix milk in my coffee), but I just love this pic!
XD
XD
Don't do that.

If someone wanted to be degrading and derogatory to another person then it won't matter if they use "A Transgender" or just "Transgender". I don't see how calling yourself "a Transgender" has any effect on the way people view you all, a bigot doesn't need a reason to hate someone else. It didn't need to be pointed out in the first place and it doesn't help anything by pointing it out.

It was about how trans people are viewed in the public eye (i.e. people outside of the trans community), and how the language we use affects that. We can have discussions about things other than sockdreams.com. Anyway, my doctor has bumped me up to 4 mg of Estradiol per day, and said that I should be starting progesterone in 6 months. I'm not entirely sure what progesterone is though, does anyone have any info on that?

Gives better shape. Nothings been proven, seems to work differently person to person. Problem with it, is it gives people something only comparable to a period. Not in the bleeding sense, but the moody, bitchy sense. When my girlfriend tried it for about a week she turned into the biggest bitch, as much as I hate to say it.
Thats because its released during menstruation.
That explains a lot.
So how was everyone's Friday? :3
So how was everyone's Friday? :3
I couldnt get home because the doors were locked and when I asked my sister to borrow her keys she was like NO THEY'RE MY KEYS GO GET YOUR OWN. wtf. I had to literally pull them out of her hand and run
The most productive thing I did this friday was leaving the bed, and even that was incredibly exhausting.
It's only 2:30pm on Friday here. I've only gotten up and had a cup of coffee. :v:
Stuck in New Jersey with no internet except for my slow-ass phone. Kill me. Please.
