For one, it's the people who elect the politicians. Adverts or not, you're the one putting the ballots in. Not to mention saying 'we vote for them because of their economic policies' doesn't save you any face because those are also terrible. So either you're voting for an economically terrible party and ignoring their social policies, which is a bad idea, or you're economically conservative and don't care about social issues, which is also pretty fucking bad.
This is not at all what I'm saying in any way shape or form. I haven't said a thing about my views here at all, and that's not what I'm debating. The point of my post was to show the common views of the Texas population, and that Texas isn't full of bigots as the common stereotypes would suggest, not to debate the ethics behind their voting methods. The people of the state are generally socially liberal, but they don't care enough about the issues to vote against their preferred economic policy.

Seriously? Where did you live? I lived in Tartu for six years before my parents moved us to Tallinn, where we stayed for two years.

Because we're recruiting for new converts. Join us.
I was talking to one of my friends who knows I am (or might) be transgender. He told me that he's cool with it, but he knows some friends who have transgender friends that went through HRT and everything and have been living as girls for a few years. He said that some of them regret going through with it for several reasons. He wasn't very clear but he said something along the lines of they either outgrew it or they were unable to cope with living as the opposite gender for reasons like the looks or whatever.
He told me he wishes me the best and that I should think long and hard before jumping into anything. What do you all think?
As a side note: He said I'm better off not getting any sort of therapy to help me figure myself out.

Of course you should really think about it. If you get halfway into it, and decide it's not what you need, it can be pretty bad. But that's not all that common, and going to a therapist/counselor is what really helps you figure it out.

Meh, not fond of long, straight hair. I'd rather have a great big head of thick, bouncy hair (or what I have right now :3:)
Also :toot: for Zeldy's 1000th post!

I like almost all kinds of long hair. I don't like my hair when it's wavy or natural because its so untidy and sticks out weird places.
Also I think I should have over 5000 now, if not for the old threads that were deleted. :v:

Thank you! <3
i had long, straight hair once. i cut it and now i regret it. my hair is naturally curly which i hate so if i can scrape up $125 i can get it permanently straightened when its short so it'l grow out straight.

Permanently straightened? I've never heard of that. How do they do it?

They stop the hydrogen bubbles that make hair curly with a chemical. it may sound damaging but i'll just get hair repairing shampoo/conditioner no big deal.

I must look into this.
