Crossdressing/Transgender Megathread v. There is an unicorn under my dress.
My mum keeps trying to forge me like she wants me to look like. I have absolutely no say in what clothes I want or anything. She keeps trying to force v-necks and stretchy shirts that show almost everything on me and making me look like her, which is far from what I want.
It's like she thinks I can't think for myself.

tl:dr my mum wants me to look like an ugly slut.
Moms kinda have to 'train' their daughters into fashion, and so she's probably just doing the same with you that she'd do with another daughter at a young age.

Her fashion involves dressing as skimpy as possible. Something I'd like to avoid.
Still, the point is it's the thought that counts.
You guys are all such great and strong people <3

Thank you! :3

Not when they get full of rage and wreck an expensive jacket because you wouldn't wear a v-neck.
Just thought Id post a few current pics. Let me know which one is better. I'm thinking of going back onto daily disposiable contact lenses (used monthly for a while before giving up due to the hassle of cleaning them).

Without Glasses
Also I'd just like to say, up until a few days ago I was greatly unsure about myself and where I stood. Since coming to this thread I've found my resolve and I'm going to register with the local GP centre in the morning and begin the process. I want to start on estrogen as soon as possible, I've been thinking about it for too long and now I know that I can't put it off any longer.
Thank you all for sharing your experiences and helping me to find my place as a transwoman. You've given me the confidence I have needed. So many thoughts are rushing through my mind at the moment.
I like the glasses one better but maybe it's because I like glasses.
Glasses usally make people look cuter
(I broke mine u_u)
Buut yes glasses!
Also properly going to the thearpist on wedesday woop~
I'm finally back home.
I got the explosm guys to draw me something. They were amazing people. They actually smiled and waved at me because I went to both their Q&A panels, (one with Blind Ferret) and went to their booth to say hi to them on the first day.
I'll post it later after I shower because the weather went to hell as soon as we got back to Saint Louis, and I had to park pretty far away so I got drenched. I guess I'll be having soggy sandwiches tonight.

(forgot to mention it might be a little offensive, but it's explosm. It's what they do.)
Soo like Horizon did a picture so i was like i guess i better do one

You're cute.
How easy is it for you guys to get into relationships? Are people put-off by your transgenered nature? I'm not honestly, but I can't say for all people since I'm Bi.
Also, HorizoN, are you into girls? If so, does that make you Lesbian?
I told my girlfriend and she took it very nicely.

Wait, you're trans? I thought you weren't.
I keep coming into this thread now...
EDIT: Not that it's a bad thing, I'm just not a crossdresser, homosexual or transgender.
Most people are fine with it as long as they get to know you before they know about it. It isn't too big of an issue as long as they're attracted to you for what you are.

Well one of my friends said she'd date me if I looked like a girl since I'd look okay.
And yes, I'm into women so I guess that'd make me a lesbian.
[editline]15th April 2012[/editline]
She's also one of the 6 or so that know about me.
Aww, that's so nice HorizoN. You need a woman, you're too damn pessimistic!
I'm not really interested in the whole dating thing.
since people are posting pics, and also i want to know if i have a chance of passing, here

Okay. So here's a few pics I took at C2E2 (Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo)
There were so many people in costume (I might go in one next time). Here's a bunch I found posing so I decided to take a crappy pic.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/iqRW5.jpg[/img_thumb]
The Explosm gang at one of the panels. I swear I could not breathe in both panels they had. They are fucking hilarious in person.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/AKFEM.jpg[/img_thumb]
Here's them drawing my picture for me. Asked them if I could take a photo. (Rob and Kris were obviously too busy drawing their obese batman to care)
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/ZBLCA.jpg[/img_thumb]
And here it is. The picture they drew for me. I told them, "I'll say a bunch of words, and you draw something that includes all these words."
They smiled and said. "Sounds interesting. Shoot."
So I said...
"Transgenderism, homosexuality, arabs, and 9/11."
They grinned at each other and started discussing it. Then they made this piece of priceless art. This pure happiness in solid form. I was grinning like an idiot the whole time I had it in my hand.
Are you ready?
Are you?
You're not ready.
You can never be ready.
Here it is.

Going to the tailor tomorrow to get my coat fixed.

Is it bad that, instead of being totally offended in every way by this page, I find it fucking hillarious?
"Stop forcing our kids to be more open minded about people, you need to be more open minded about our religion"
Most of the people in this thread are all evil and trying to force our kids into becoming part of the crossdresser agenda!!!
Facepunch turned me into a bisexual crossdresser.

Wait what...? This... what? O_O Who writes bills like this?
she-males* (male-female hybrids)
Seriously who wrote this? O_O
Idiots who think they can discriminate anyone they like if they call it "Upholding family values" or "Protecting the children"
Idiots who think they can discriminate anyone they like if they call it "Upholding family values" or "Protecting the children"
I always thought "family values" was a bullshit term, I never understood it.
Wait, you're trans? I thought you weren't.
I am, I was just kinda reluctant to say it, but then I realized I'm retarded and that I'm posting in a fucking transgender megathread.
Wait what...? This... what? O_O Who writes bills like this?

The bill itself is a good thing. The article is biased to all hell and twisting everything about and making it seem like it's incredibly silly (although in essence, it is).
As for the she-males thing, I can see where they're coming from. For pre-op or non-op transsexuals, the term shemale's been popularized by the porn industry. So when people think of non-op (or even just pre-op passing) transsexuals, they're going to think "shemale".
I always thought "family values" was a bullshit term, I never understood it.
"Family values" is a very important thing. However, they're to be kept, you know... within your family. Your (your being generic, not you J) family has their values, my family has my values. They differ, but those differences are not to interfere on the rights of either of our families.
I always thought 'shemales' referred to those with both male and female genitalia. (The correct term is 'Intersex', I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.)
