are you successful? having alot of money - no having good friends - no girlfriend - no high paying job or a successful business - no
I'd rather be happy than have money if a choice were to be made. I have an awesome SO, I have good friends and I'm really happy with what I do for a living. It might not be successful but I wouldn't change it for the world. edit: Also, mind-blowing orgasms and tantric sex > wallets full of cash. Anyday, anytime, anywhere.
Not even slightly!
I lost my virginity to a fat black girl named Shanqua she gave me herpes I think my life started going down hill then again I was 23 then.
I died.
I died.
Then how are you typing now wait............... Are you a necromancer?
I'm 19, going to one of the best universities in the country, doing a course that will pretty much guarantee me a well paying job. I have plenty of friends and am genuinely pretty happy almost all the time. I consider myself 'successful' thus far, as in, I'm on the way to leading a 'successful' life. However, I don't have much money and can't seem to find a girl worth holding on to :v:
Yeah see it would be so awesome to be a corrupt public official for a while! [editline]17th November 2010[/editline] Or an international arms dealer.
international arms dealer would totally be badass
in this thread we have problems solution: are you starving? no? you're better off than most
I know what path I want to take in life and I'm well on my way there. School is fine but could be worse. I know who my real friends are. I have a roof under my head. So far so good. Don't be to greedy. Happiness with your life is more important than being rich and successful. If riches come from your happiness, good on you. Strive for happiness and you will be richer than ever.
I died.
Did it hurt?
I have a roof under my head.
That doesnt sound to pleasant
[img_thumb]http://www.topnews.in/files/success.jpg[/img_thumb] In my opinion, a successful life would be, EVERYTHING'S PERFECT! At the moment i have NOTHING CONSIDERING MY FIRST POST. I do not consider myself a failure but i AM. So facepunch are you PERFECT? Are you getting EVERYTHING you want out of life?
Fixed it for you.
I'm the smart lazy ass who does his homework at 9:00 to finish by 11-12 instead of starting at 5-6.
I own a house, a decent car, a kickass dog, and I have an awesome, sexy wife, so I'd say although I could use more money, my life is pretty good.
No
As long as I can afford to pay for internet, food and coffee, I'm the richest person ever, as far as I am concerned.
I do have a good manager's position at Gamestop, but I could go without being jerked around recently by women. Just let me find someone, I'm in the friend-zone bad.
Well there is supposedly a girl that wants to touch my weewee, that feels pretty good. But successful? Not really, when i think of success i think of making your own dreams/goals come true, and that i haven't done.
Whole facepunch is unsuccesful? For the dumbasses here, succesful means that you'll live a good live, not like So wut, i huz houze end i hus muney for fuud and wota. With succesfull poeple mean a good rich live (And also play games with your 1000.0000) If your: Lazy, you dont do homework. Then you won't have a good live. Well if you can afford food and water and games its a regluar live. Another example: You dont wanna be some homeless guy, or work at mcdonalds Thats a bad live. 'Nough said?
I don't have a lot of money, but when I do I tend to spend it on building supplies. I can build just about anything from scratch, and that's where I'm most happy. Building something entirely unique then sharing it with friends is reward enough.

'Nough said?
No. Focus on happiness and success will come naturally. I know to many rich people who focus on money who have no friends and are alone. Money does not buy happiness, but happiness can bring wealth. Not all wealth is monetary, and not all success is financial. Money may come as a byproduct of happiness, which is always a plus. Find a job you love, so you don't feel like you've worked a day in your life.
I'm 17 and I make $100k AUD a year.
Sure. Grades could be a lot better but I'm happy.
OP your definition of success is shit. Success in my opinion is fulfilling yourself, and fulfilling what it is you absolutely love, and will never stop doing. So in a way, you never fulfill it. So, in another way, you'll never finish, and say "Wow. I'm successful now." And if that thing is money or hot girls, cool. But I don't think that will last very long. Unless you fully embrace that in the story of your life, as what you've always wanted, and always will want. --Thank you very much, good night. Not....yet.
Find a job you love, so you don't feel like you've worked a day in your life.
I couldn't agree with this more, but I have no idea what I want to do after school. There's nothing I fear more than becoming some miserable balding middle aged guy sitting in a cubicle at a desk job for 8 hours a day.
I'm 18, working in the job I've been aiming for (web developer) which has ensured me a career pretty much, great friends, get on well with my family and I have a few rewarding hobbies which I'm pretty good at. The only thing I'm really lacking is a girlfriend. It depends on what you think success is though, out of the things mentioned above the one I really value as success in my life is friends.
